Hello and welcome to the first week of "The Houston News" Each week I will be writing some words to keep you lovely people up to date on what is happening around the Houston Bulls organization. Enough talk lets dive in. The S86 Houston Bulls Roster C - antonio marchand @Tapirman C - Grunkle Stan-dingyouup @Big Newff C - Sakari-Kari Erkkilaismakkyinen @Edustava LW - Ray Alexander @TheRoyalEmpoleon RW - Oliver @Oli RW - Connor McLauglin @Connor Mclaughling RW - Jussi Laitela @OsteriOssi D - Justin Alla @Justin G - Shadow Thompson @Kelsey I am extremely excited to see this roster get put to work this season and compete in the VHLM. We have two familiar faces from S85, with antonio marchand and Shadow Thompson returning to the team as our two strongest players. Marchand and Thompson had to struggle through our rebuild in S85, but I am sure their TPE earning over the course of that season will pay off as they are the faces of Houston for S86. From the S85 draft, Houston only had two picks but we are proud of the two players we brought in. 36th overall Grunkle Stan-dingyouup and 40th overall Connor McLauglin will have a huge impact on our team this season, playing lots of minutes including special teams. Then from waivers you will find where the rest of the roster came from. Going from four players to nine after the draft was a huge blessing for us in Houston's management, and it gives us hope that this season will be a ton of fun and competitive. I am looking forward to our first game tonight where I can finally see all of our new players in action. Week 1 Game Schedule With there being approximately 10 games per sim, I can guess that there will be around 70 total games simmed this week in the VHLM. So here is a projected look at this week's schedule for the Houston Bulls: Game 1: (H) vs. Mexico City Kings Game 2: (A) vs. Mexico City Kings Game 3: (H) vs. San Diego Marlins Game 4: (A) vs. Saskatoon Wild Game 5: (H) vs. Mississauga Hounds Game 6: (A) vs. Halifax 21st Game 7: (A) vs. Mexico City Kings Game 8: (H) vs. Las Vegas Aces Game 9: (A) vs. San Diego Marlins Game 10: (H) vs. Mississauga Hounds Game 11: (H) vs. Mississauga Hounds Game 12: (A) vs. Ottawa Lynx Game 13: (H) vs. Halifax 21st Game 14: (A) vs. Saskatoon Wild Out of our projected 14 games this week, we will be matched up against our own Western Conference 8 times and matched against the Eastern Conference only 6 times. Home and away games are split down the middle with 7 each, and the teams we will see the most are Mississauga and Mexico City, 3 times each. Get ready Bulls fans! Game 1's puck drop is tonight! Top TPE Earners - Week Ending November 13th In the VHLM, the whole point of our league is to push our players into earning TPE and being able to move up in the leagues to eventually reach the VHL. So each week, I will be posting here the Top 5 TPE earners and shouting them out. I hope this results in VHLE and VHL GMs to take notice in who is putting in the extra work and wanting to be drafted into the next league. So here are the Houston Bulls' Top 5 TPE earners for Week Ending November 13th: : antonio marchand @Tapirman 16 TPE : Grunkle Stan-dingyouu @Big Newff 10 TPE : Connor McLauglin @Connor Mclaughling 8 TPE : Ray Alexander @TheRoyalEmpoleon 6 TPE : Shadow Thompson @Kelsey 6 TPE : Sakari-Kari Erikkilaismakkyinen @Edustava 6 TPE Amazing work this week everyone! Let's stay focused and consistent each week this season to build strong players and an overall strong roster together! Unfortunately that is it for this week's Houston News. Check in next week to see how our first week of the regular season went! I will be determined to post every Monday.

Well sir @Banackock you have inspired me and as I work towards my goal of playing pro football, I want in on this challenge. I’ve always had a drinking problem and have been semi addicted to weed for the last 6 months. So I hope you don’t mind me popping in here with a post but I’m hoping that publicly posting this can keep me extra motivated! My start date was yesterday November 12, I’m hoping to check in again December 12th with good news. .

I’ve been going to the gym in the morning (anytime before noon) to help motivate my brain into not wanting to be lazy for the rest of the day. Even when I go for only 30-45 minutes, I feel like I’ve started my day right and the rest of the day has me wanting to stay active instead of sitting around. When I’m on rest days or too lazy to go to the gym I just go for a walk around my neighborhood or local parks to get my body moving. I’m a true believer now that when you get up and get active, you’ll want to stay active and busy.

Another week, another opportunity to type up words for TPE. I am away from home this weekend and the hotel that I am staying at does not have good wifi, so I am typing this on my phone using data instead of my laptop. This will probably be an ugly article but I am trying lol. So if you guessed that I would be talking about my player Randy Bobandy this week, you are most definitely right. The off season is almost finished and Bobandy is ready for his first full season of his career. Bobandy, born and raised Canadian, is taking his talents to Oslo Norway to play some professional hockey in the VHLE. He has already moved into his condo and his mom sent him way too many decorations for his new place. He likes the city and the country of Norway. Even though he can’t speak a word of this foreign language, most people in Norway do speak English too which is a huge relief for Bobandy. The nature here is beautiful and so are the woman. Maybe Bobandy will find a special girl to feed him cheeseburgers for the rest of his life. Talking about the team now, Oslo just came off an S85 Cup win and are looking to repeat their success heading into S86. The Storm have a 7-4-2 roster and it looks like Bobandy will be starting on the second line as center behind Sunglasses Joyo. Like Bobandy, Joyo is starting their VHLE career this season and the two centers hope to make a dent in the league for Oslo. The rest of our forward core is strong as well, but what I am most excited for is our defence. 3/4 dman being S83 players, we have some veteran experience on the blue line with all three players above 300 TPE. I feel like our defensive side of the game will be our strong suit especially with the man between the pipes, Alexander Minion. Minion is my AGM in Houston so I am excited to play with him with our actual players. We haven’t played together since S79 in Mississauga where we tore up the league but unfortunately lost the Founder’s Cup to Miami. I think Oslo will have a strong season in S86 and I am happy Randy Bobandy can be apart of it. I’m hoping he over performs obviously, but my main focus is to target his defensive game. I want faceoff wins to be 60%+, +/- to be higher than half of my teammates, and overall just make plays to keep the puck out of our net. Quickly talking about Houston to end this article. After a disappointing S85, I am actually excited to play this season! We aren’t projected to be the best team, but after the draft we only had 4 players and now with waiver signings we have 9! I am also very excited to see Shadow Thompson this season in net for us. Thompson had to struggle through the many loses last season from a lack of a roster, but with the growth of their player I feel like they will play a huge role for our team. I am also excited to see which of these new players will shine for us too. Anyways I wrote enough, goodbye.

Welcome!

@UnknownMinion I think you did great. We now have a very promising future for the next two seasons and we already have a 7-1-1 roster heading into this season with more waiver players joining everyday. Last season was bad and this season might not look great, but it’s hard to always be great in a league where you keep players for only 1-2 seasons.
