I enjoyed reading your thoughts on and from Florida Man! Your writing is nice and flows very well, no grammatical errors stood out either. My only real issue and proposition would be to maybe work on the formatting of your post a tad bit? Break up the text into a couple of paragraphs and it turns out much more readable and presentable! Other than that the article is top notch, interesting content and very nice writing skills on your part. I understand you usually do graphics, but definitely don't knock yourself on your writing!

Love love love this! An absolutely amazing idea for a media spot an an equally perfect execution of that idea. You took the time to honor your players in a way most of them haven't experiaced before and it reads in a very nice wholesome way even for someone entirely on the outside. Bravo! One little downside for me is it seems you've set the color of the text to black? Which makes reading the article in darkmode impossible - but that's nitpicking really.

  4. Robert Wilk on his perspectives in the Warsaw Predators

Robert Wilk is working hard to make his way to the VHL proper and graduate from the VHLE. While his time in the Rome Gladiators was less than ideal, the team did manage to make their way all the way into the Playoff Finals. Now the young polish right wing is hardly seen outside of either a gym or the rink. This is quite a departure from his form earlier during the season, when he was hardly seen outside of a McDonalds or his coach with a gamepad in his hands. Rumor has it this sudden burst of motivation came from none other than Warsaw Predators GM. He had a sit down talk with the young Wilk about the possibility of him being called up. The trust that was shown in his potential as an offensive tool made him reconsider his approach to training for games. Motivation is the most important thing in any professional’s player’s repertoire. And now thanks to his VHL coach, Robert Wilk’s got plenty of it. He is looking forward to making the best of his time with the Predators and really turning his career around. Time will see how it goes.

  5. Robert Wilk looks back on his time in the VHLE

The young Polish player was extremely excited graduating from the VHLM. His role on the San Diego Marlins was that of Captain in more than name. On that team he was tasked with taking over the offense completely – he spent the entirety of his VHLM season fighting for the top spot of the scoring leaderboards. When he was drafted to the Rome Gladiators of the VHLE he was beyond excited. Being a solid pick in that draft he was hopeful to take on a reasonably high role on the squad. He knew of course that he would no longer be in the M, where a player of his caliber could call himself a star, but he had hoped to still be one of the team’s main scorers.

Unfortunately things turned out quite differently in reality. Robert Wilk kept on struggling throughout the season, barely scoring any goals at all. The team didn’t trust him with taking charge of the offense at all – which was obviously understandable with how he was playing. Being relegated to second and third string in the lineup definitely did no good for the young bucks confidence. Wilk got around 15 minutes a game throughout the season and never made any real strides to get better than he was at the beginning. Word around the league was the player stopped practicing as hard as he used to after his rough start, which certainly did him no favors at all, especially considering his playtime.

Around the playoffs the team seemed to change their minds considering Robert. He was given more time on the ice and closer to what his touches used to be in the M. Robert did quite well for himself during the playoffs, securing a nice amount of goals. What’s more important than that, he played an instrumental part in helping take the Rome Gladiators to the VHLE Playoff Finals. It would unfortunately end up being a loss in that ultimate challenge, with the Gladiators falling in four games flat.

Robert Wilk however is now looking ahead to the future. With his confidence relit after the responsibility he was given in the Playoffs, Wilk got excited once again about taking the ice. With talk with the Warsaw Predators from the VHL getting back on track Robert started working out hard and taking the ice on his off time practicing. Warsaw Management has been very clear about looking forward to seeing him make his way up to the VHL and that was an amazing boost to his failing confidence.

And so it comes to now, when the young polish right wing is doing his damn hardest to make it. Getting his skills in place and his form ready to go for the top level’s of the VHL is no easy task. Fortunately with support from the Warsaw Predator’s coaching staff and support crew it is very clear he is going to make it. Let’s all look forward to how Wilk will do in the big  leagues!

  6. REVIEW

As somebody that doesn't follow the league that closely on a day by day basis I always appreciate these kinds of recaps! You've done a good job to explain how and why these teams are close together in the standings. It was concise and understandable, though could probably use some more formatting! Overall good work.

    Old PC but oh well.

    1. Still just a prospect, but extremely happy to be here!

    2. The grind. I like to consider myself a hard worker despite my comparatively low earning.

    3. Not really - hockey isn't  big in my country.

    4. That dope ass logo!

    5. Well you can guess haha! Clearly Warsaw.

    6. If I have to choose... definitely you @Underclass_Hero! I've loved working with you whenever we've gotten the chance. Truly a great person to talk with and share ideas.

  8. Robert Wilk preparing to graduate into the VHL

The young Right Wing from Poland – Robert Wilk has been working hard to make his way into the VHL as soon as he is able to. Ideally he would like to try and make it to the Warsaw Predators roster this coming season. While he appreciates what he has learned in the VHLE playing for the Rome Gladiators, he’s still delegated to a bench role on the team. If he can’t make it into the VHL and his dream team, he’ll make it his goal to take over a larger role for Rome. Wilk truly believes he has what it takes to be a star – be it in the VHLE or in the VHL. It’s just a matter of time until he gets to that level of play on the ice. It remains to be seen how long it will take him to make it in either league though.

  9. Robert Wilk Tough Time with Lessened Role

It’s tough for any player not a top prospect going up in the world of pro sports. After being on top of the world in the Minors, scoring tons of goals every game and seeing his name in the top of the leaderboards for goals scored and points, Robert Wilk now finds himself playing 15 minutes a game in the VHLE and barely amounting to anything in that time. He of course understands that he’s just not good enough to be given a bigger role on a team this good it’s still a tough transition from Captain of the San Diego Marlins to a bench player responsible only for backing up the real stars on the team. It’s a bit harder to stay motivated for sure with a lessened role, but Wilk is trying his hardest to still improve and show the coach he’s worth it.

    3. Predators no doubt. Love the wolf styling.

  12. REVIEW

A nice article man! My favorite part has to be the game recap - I simply adore it when people go deep into games and summarize them like this. It's just a great read, exciting especially if you don't recall the result. The opening part could use some work - maybe making it more about either the player or the team, as it felt a bit like you were still getting your footing with the article. But overall it read well and was very nicely done.

  14. Robert Wilk on playing in Rome

After being drafted by Warsaw in the VHL Draft, young Robert Wilk turned his attention to the upcoming VHLE Draft. As amazing as being drafted by his favorite team was, he had more immediate matters at hand – namely the fact that he would be playing in the VHLE this coming season. The Draft came and went, and Robert was picked up by the Rome Gladiators – funnily enough with a lower pick than his VHL selection. Rome was a great spot for Wilk. Hes spent a few summer vacations over in Italy, basking in the sun and the amazing cities. Robert is very happy being able to spend a year or two in Rome, before returning home to Warsaw to live out the rest of his career and life in his hometown. Wilk is hoping to score a ton of goals and help his team make the playoffs.

  16. Robert Wilk’s dream comes true

It’s been a hectic time for San Diego Marlins alumni Robert Wilk. From a plethora of draft interviews, through the World Juniors to finally taking part in the VHL Draft – it’s been both exciting and terrifying for the youngster. Nothing was ever more of a dream for the young winger than one day playing for his hometown team, the Warsaw Predators. And on the night of the Draft, that dream came true. When Wilk’s name was called as the 12th pick, Robert lost his mind of happiness. He’s come a long way from being drafted 41st in the VHLM to being picked in the first round of the VHL draft by his dream team. Robert is over the moon to be able to live with his family in his hometown while still playing professional hockey at the highest level – but obviously there’s one more step before that. His focus is now on the VHLE in which he’ll play until he’s ready for the big leagues.
