  1. Review: I love the color and font choices and accenting in this graphic. Everything works together so well to create a piece that is very pleasing to the eye and the background texture is just awesome. I really like the addition of the logo on the bottom left and where everything is positioned in the graphic. The one thing I noticed that looked slightly off was the shading on the leg, which oddly mixes with the player's pads. 8/10
  2. 1. Now that it is the playoffs, I have been insanely excited about the series. It has been a dream to be in the moment and be able to compete with and against the best. 3. I am not one to overestimate, but I believe that the team is good enough to reach the finals. I don't think that is the most likely outcome, but with a good streak and some big hits, we could definitely be on the biggest stage in the VHLM. 4. I have been focused on hitting opposing players, as I always am, but I have also focused on getting the puck to my teammates. I know that if I can get it to them they can score while I am roughing up opposing players. 5. I have been very happy with our locker room. I am usually focused on improving my game and hitting opposing players and the team has done their best to support me and allow me to be in the role I want to be. 6. You have been doing very well as an AGM. I have noticed how hard you have been working and while I don't know much about being an AGM, from my perspective you have done a great job! 8. Definitely vanilla. You can't argue with the classic vanilla ice cream with hot fudge and heath, that's the best of both worlds and is nothing less than a perfect combination.
  3. Review: I really like the colors and the design choices that are present in this graphic. The bright yellow/orange mixes really well with the textured background and the sleek fog and lightning. The whole piece is really well accented, but I do feel that there is a little bit too much blank space in the top of the graphic. Additionally, I feel that the text color and font doesn't feel like it exactly complements the graphic as much as it could, but they worked fairly well. 6/10

  5. Review: I really like how aggressive and in your face the design and the pop to the photo is, it really makes this graphic stand out from others similar to it. Furthermore, the addition of the signature inside of the big letters was a spectacular choice and really adds to the quality of the piece. One thing I would have done different is made the logo more integrated into the graphic rather than just sit on top of it, as it kind of just looks stamped on at the end where it is now, and I think that could make this a true 10/10 graphic. However, it is very good and I can tell the hard work that went into making it. 8/10
  6. Review: I love the effects and work that has been into such a simple picture to make it look so good! I'm amazed by the quality graphics that I constantly see here, and this one does nothing but raise the bar. I love the lettering on the side of the graphic and the font color and choice is nothing short of magnificent. In addition, the red tint and coloring that has been carefully applied to everything makes this work just all the more impressive, it's definitely one of the best graphics I have ever seen. 9/10
  7. 2. I have been very with the recent acquisitions, and as one of them I have felt that it has brought a competitive nature along with the new members of the squad. 3. I have been very happy with my ice time. As long as my player gets to go out there and hit some dudes, I'll always be happy no matter the role I have on the team. 4. At this point, I do see us making the playoffs looking at the current standings, and am excited for the opportunity to experience them. 5. My player has contributed very highly to the winning efforts. He does the things you don't see on the scoreboard, knocking opponents around and raising team morale in general, and he is a plus defenseman. 6. While our current powerplay is not bad, it could be better if we had a more well rounded lineup in the future. 7. My favorite go to vacation spot is somewhere on Lake Michigan because of the nice cool water and fun boating that comes with it.
  8. Marshall Maxx: Born in the Wild (A drawn representation of his time in Nunavut) Marshall Maxx was born in Toronto, his mother and father both rich and busy entrepreneurs in the big city. As a kid, he would watch hockey games religiously, dreaming of destroying opposing players and standing at the top of the hockey world in the future. Unfortunately, Maxx was constantly on the move as a result of his family's constant travels, and he was never able to reach towards the dreams of his childhood and play youth hockey. This all changed, however, when he crashed his father's plane flying over the arctic regions of Nunavut at age 13, and the young boy was forced to survive amongst the bears in the chilling and dangerous Nunavut wilderness. Maxx recounts his time in the wilderness, laughing about the time and explaining: "Yeah, it was certainly an experience. As a kid I was weak and irresponsible, but living in the arctic changed me. It gave me a chance to grow, to live, and to experience what true life is all about." In our interview, Maxx gave tens of stories about his escapes from life endangering scenarios, terrifying encounters with polar bears, and moments where he was inches away from death, but much is still unknown about the time he spent in the wild. After three years, a helicopter flying over his hand built log cabin found Maxx wrestling a polar bear in the wild with a grin on his face, no longer resembling the young boy that had been there years earlier. During his time in Nunavut, Maxx had grown from about 5'6 to 6'4", and had gone from only 120 lbs to 200 lbs of pure muscle. Maxx was flown back into his parent's home in Toronto, where he was reunited with his family and forced to reassimilate into society. He described this period as "The toughest in my life". After his long term in the arctic, there was so much that had changed in the world around him, and so much for him to get used to once again. The only place where he could let out his stress was the hockey rink. He began playing hockey under the recommendation of local hockey coach and family friend Brian Wist, and began his hockey journey as a junior in high school. Now, just a year and a half later, Maxx has become well known across the hockey world for his massive hits and impressive defensive skills and has gone to Nova Scotia to join the Halifax 21st and start his professional hockey career. According to various high school scouts, Maxx has made "unprecedented" development in the one year of hockey he has played, and is someone to look for in the coming years. Maxx warns players in the VHL to "watch out", and I can't disagree with him. Maxx has grown to a scary 6'6 and 235 lbs and shows athleticism unlike any others at his size. When I asked his high school and now personal coach Brian Wist about his future career, he commented "There's not too many people on earth that wouldn't be scared to fight a bear, and Marshall is one of them, all I'm gonna say is that humans aren't as scary as bears, they just aren't."
  9. Review: This graphic is frankly, just stellar. I love the effects that went into making this as clean and as awesome looking as it is. It really gives off a strong historic hockey feel to it, and that gives me all sorts of hype and nostalgia. I can see the effort that went into making this graphic, but I do feel that there could have been a better font choice for the vibe that you were giving off with the rest of the piece. 9/10
  10. 1. He hasn't seen the rink yet, but he's very large, so he will hit many men with his body, I presume. 2. I like the theme of life after the league a lot. However, I have not yet had any plans involving this theme. 3. The best part of being a good teammate is smacking around the guys that hurt your teammates. 4. Bad games? I don't have bad games. 5. Six chickens, sliced and diced on the spot, then grilled with the fans in the pregame tailgate. 6. It's always Eye of the Tiger.

  12. Review: I think this graphic is quite well done, but I would have made a few minor adjustments. I really enjoy the smoky background, and think it pairs well with the #Fear the Reaper, which gives off a great vibe. I would have chosen a different photo than the one you chose, as the player does not give off the kind of scariness that I was looking for. However, I think that the font matches very well with the feel of the image and enjoyed looking at it a lot. 7/10
