When you hear someone making a podcast about eliminating a Swedish team and you manage one! But then you realise it's the other one For VHLE career lifer, as things stand (I've suggested other ideas to the commish so we'll see) you get to pick your pre VHLE-draft season team in FA, then like the VHL, you have a three season contract with the VHLE team that drafts you before becoming a VHLE Free Agent and all those are one-season deals, so at least you've got plenty of engagement in the off-seasons ahead! No depreciation as well so yeah, think you may well become the VHLE GOAT! Occurred to me during this that it might be worth the league introducing a new optional clause to contracts, a VHLE clause that gives the player the ability to pick whether they play up in the VHL or down in the VHLE since atm it's solely the GM's choice. Hey, maybe you don't have an award but at least you've got one of the four VHL divisions named after your player! I'll settle for just having the Thunderdome forum that you named after me! Lol, the Luna Sharp award sounds like something Encarnacion would have won like 6 times over! I've only left youtube comments on very small videos (like sub 1000 views) to answer questions that were asked by the creator. I used to frequent a website called giantbomb.com and they did a play through of Yakuza 0 and, as someone who completed the game, I gave helpful advice and got shouted out for helping on one of their videos once and that was super cool!

Kirby Rambles: The Origin of Lachlan Summers
MubbleFubbles replied to kirbithan's topic in VHL.com Articles
That's really cool that you've created a character and carried them over with a few changes to multiple forms of media! Actually just looked into the name Lachlan to see where it originated (I thought it would be Scotland given I know of a few people called Lachlan from there), and apparently it came from Vikings in Ireland, which is pretty fitting given your current team haha! -

Haydyn 19. Laser Brewer In an unbelievable turn of events on the twentieth time of asking we’re actually going to ask whether a player who is actually active, updating and currently playing on a VHL team is the best player in the VHL Portal! Wow! So let’s talk about Calix Pearce, the user Laine’s follow up to their 1228 TPE player Patrik Laine. Calix, created as a sibling to both Niko and Cole Pearce, was created just over a year ago now and started off with a pretty strong earning rate, kicking off their career with six weeks of 10 capped TPE per week at a point where they were the Storm GM in both the VHLM and VHLE (as their player was created just prior to the transition from Minnesota to Oslo). However as their personal life became busier, the amount of point tasks they could do shrunk and, eleven weeks after creation, Pearce’s earning dropped from that 10 capped TPE per week to 4 capped TPE per week. While they do not currently earn every week, they do still at least make sure to claim welfare for their player at least twice a month, which you like to see cause I think too many players throw in the towel with a player too early whereas Pearce demonstrates you can still play a role in the VHL even after missing a few weeks. As for Calix Pearce’s performance on the ice, they haven’t accrued too many points, but I would say they’re actually getting more than is usually expected from a player built like Pearce as they have gone the route of building a physical defenseman. After having spent three solid seasons in the VHLE as a part of the Oslo Storm and Cologne Express roster’s, Pearce made the move up to the VHL for Season 85 and picked up 34 points in 72 games whilst also posting up the second most hits and third most shot blocks on the Seattle Bears roster. While those point numbers may look low, it’s worth pointing out that Seattle did not have the best luck in front of goal in Season 85 (lowest amount of goals of teams that made the playoffs) so it’s actually a pretty respectable total especially given their defensive efforts. Heading into Season 86, Pearce remains with the Seattle Bears as their third highest TPA defenseman, however with Seattle taking quite a few losses at forward it will potentially be tough for Pearce to improve upon their point totals from Season 85. But the big question is where do they rank, and it’s an interesting one given that Pearce still has potentially several seasons ahead of them (I will imagine they will at least continue until they earn 700 TPE so they can claim 5 TPE welfare from now on). Unfortunately I can’t place Calix Pearce as the best player in the VHL Portal ahead of the seemingly undefeatable Matthew Kai just because Kai has had many more seasons in the VHL than Pearce, although Kai might have cause for concern given that Pearce is the first challenger they have faced that will likely usurp their 479 TPE (as Pearce is only 13 TPE behind currently). However, given that Pearce broke the point totals that Shevkov put up over two seasons in just one season along with Pearce having maintained active for nearly twice as long as Shevkov, I feel comfortable in saying that Calix Pearce is the second best player in the VHL Portal, and hey, if Pearce continues at their current pace, maybe they will eventually take Matthew Kai’s place as the best player in the VHL Portal. 1: Matthew Kai 2: Calix Pearce 3: Evgeni Shevkov 4: George Patton 5: barry bigman 6: Greg Santos 7: Elfon Ashelf 8: Kiefer Leclerc 9: Chet Foreals 10: Dirty Caufield 11: John Smith 12: Majestic Buffalo 13: Jack Todaro 14: Titomir Pukshuuter 15: Ches Morrison 16: Ian Smith 17: Danny dimes 18: Dawson Thibert 19. Stockholm Vikings Press Conference
MubbleFubbles replied to thadthrasher's topic in Team Press Conferences
For the week ending November 20th (can use it for 13th though if you submit answers today) Answer 3 Questions for 1 TPE Answer 6 Questions for 2 TPE 1. The start of the VHLE season is fast approaching, what schedule would you prefer to start the season; going up against the strongest teams for a tough challenge out the gate or a run against the less competitive teams to ease your way into the season? 2. There have been quite a few GM replacements over the course of this off-season. Is GMing something you could potentially see yourself doing in the future? 3. What's one suggestion you would give to the league that would potentially make the league easier to follow for a new player? 4. What sandwich filling do you think would be the most fitting for a team named "The Vikings"? 5. What did you make of the VHL Draft that took place on Monday? If you were in it, how do you feel about the team that selected you? 6. Which NHL team would you consider to be the most entertaining to watch from a neutral perspective? -
Captain - John Richards @John Cimarno Our tenth overall pick in the Season 86 VHLE Draft, Richards has been immediately promoted to the VHLM following a strong performance on the Ottawa Lynx in Season 85 where they led the team in assists as they finished the season with the second best regular season record. We look forward to seeing what Richards will bring to the team in the Captaincy role! Alternate Captain - Sadie St-Louis @sadie Our fifth overall pick in the Season 86 VHLE Draft, St-Louis was another member of the impressive Ottawa Lynx side in Season 85, and finished with the second most goals and third most assists on the team and was the highest first-gen player selected in both the VHLE and VHL Drafts so we're very excited to see what the future holds for Sadie. Alternate Captain - Alex Bridges III @Oatex One of four Vikings returning from our Season 85 roster, Bridges was brought into the team with our 35th pick in the Season 84 Draft. A phenomenal passer of the puck, Bridges currently has the fourth highest passing attribute in the VHLE, so we look forward to potentially seeing them high on the assists tally for Season 86! Alternate Captain - Lachlan Summers @kirbithan The ninth overall pick that was subsequently traded for in order to bring them into the same team as their friends John Richards and Sadie St-Louis, Summers had a terrific season in the VHLM with the Marlins in Season 85, recording the second highest save percentage in the league and played a big part in taking the league-leading Aces to a six game series, we look forward to seeing similar success in the VHLE for Season 86!

I mean he's not wrong to do so, I should have messaged him about the situation and there's no good excuse for not doing so and I've apologised to him through discord. The only thing that's slightly misleading is the notion that we traded them to a team which already had a max goalie, which I'm guessing is just cause Quik didn't know at what time the trade was made in comparison to the draft progress but when the trade was made, Rask wasn't on the team and we wouldn't have done that trade as it was if Quik was going to be a second goalie.

So last evening I took part in my first VHLE Draft as Stockholm Vikings GM (I took over Stockholm a few days after the draft last season) and I was entering the draft uncertain as to what to expect as it was difficult to gauge how the draft would pan out. There were players like The Frenchman and Yaroslav Bogatyrev who were by a distance the highest TPE players in the draft but, with the VHL Draft taking place following the VHLE Draft, there was no way to gauge whether the players would wind up staying down for Season 86. Then there were players like defenseman Elias Lampi, a very talented first gen who is staying in the VHLM, but with their earning rate likely seeing them surpass the VHLE soft cap of 300 combined with the number of active defensemen in the 300-400 TPE range that we've seen called up from the E to the VHL this season, there's every chance that Lampi may never set foot in the VHLE. But there was also a lot to be excited about as well as quite a few first-time players had stood out as very strong earners in the lead up to the draft. Two players not on the Vikings that stood out to me in particular were Leonard Triller and Wann Kerr, both players who had shown tremendous potential in the lead up to the draft and players who I think will inevitably be both very good players in the VHL and very good contributors to the VHL as members. My biggest concern heading in was, with the ambiguity surrounding whether the highest TPE players would play in the VHL or VHLE, whether I could get my number one choice for the fifth overall pick Sadie St-Louis given that, if you excluded The Frenchman and Bogatyrev, they were the third highest TPE skater in the class. But luckily Vasteras decided to go with Bogatyrev and that freed us up to draft Sadie, which I was very happy with as they've proven to be an excellent earner and have been great in the discord since joining! From there, the next logical step was to figure out if I needed to trade up to bring in John Richards, the second member I was set to acquire of the trio, and I think ultimately looking at the draft in retrospect, I think I would've had to as I struggle to see Richards falling to 13 given how much pre-draft TPE they had. I had no qualms about trading my first next season for what was a high second as I can see a lot of players potentially looking to skip the E from the next draft class, so I don't believe there will be a player that both has as much TPE and has the TPE earning capabilities that Richards has where my first pick will be next season and, ultimately, I wanted to make the trio united on the same team so it was a small price to pay to make that possible. Acquiring the final member of the trio in Lachlan Summers (who, like Sadie, has been great in the discord thus far) was actually the area I felt most confident in being able to get done heading into the draft as, while it would have been difficult to draft all three to the Vikings, I knew that I had a trade option saved up that I believed a GM would be happy to accept (which would have been more difficult to put together for the other two as I didn't really have a like-for-like trade like I did with the Summers-Bezos trade), and Daniel (who drafted Summers ninth overall) was happy to accept the deal and thus by bringing all of the trio in, I achieved my main aim heading into the draft, so I was more than happy with the results of my first two picks! I'm also exceptionally happy with who I was able to grab with my picks following acquiring the trio, especially since all five of my next picks have all seen positive results either through joining the team discord or responding through forum PMs. Bobo was a member who has particularly stood out to me ever since I joined the Chicago Phoenix with my player in Season 82 as an active contributor to discord and their current earning with their player Darius Marimoto II has been very strong and they definitely have a lot of upside with the amount of 6 TPE PTs they've submitted to date and I'm looking forward to them joining the Vikings in Season 87! We then added two more very strong prospects in the third round with a couple of Season 85 Marlins players in Thor Odinson and Adam Rage. I was impressed with the consistency that GoalPlays had been applying TPE to Odinson over their first VHLM season and, having seen them join the discord of the Aces after the VHLM Draft, I felt happy about selecting someone who I knew would help add to the active discord and would also, like Bobo, bolster the team in Season 87. Getting Rage at the end of the third round after having traded my Season 88 3rd for it was something I consider a big steal as I had Adam Rage pegged down as one of the top candidates for my 13th overall pick. Like Bobo and GoalPlays, Rage has been active in our discord since joining and I'd had Rage down as having one of the best builds in the draft class and their earning potential is great for an end of third round selection and they are already very near the 200 TPE needed to graduate so another player I'll be happy to have on the roster in Season 87. With our fifth and sixth rounds picks, I feel like we secured a couple of real steals in Tristen Gorlim and Jacob Bryla. One of the main stats I look into heading into the draft is how much capped TPE has a player added in the last three weeks in the lead-up to the draft, and, despite being taken 37th and 45th in the draft class, both of these players ranked in the top 30 in average capped TPE in the last three weeks leading up to the draft (Gorlim was 28th, Bryla was 18th) so both have demonstrated strong consistent earning and I really liked that Gorlim had submitted 6 TPE graphics in the lead up to the draft, which show great potential and, as mentioned before, Bryla's earning rate was matching some second round selections, so I'm really happy with those picks and look forward to their continued development! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So yeah overall, despite coming in with a lot of uncertainty, I was incredibly happy with how this draft worked out and I look forward to working with all the new members that have been drafted to the Vikings over their stay in the VHLE!
