That's what I do. I count things. And I count them quick.

I have watched 110 on that list. I'm slacking.

It's like every night I go to sleep and wake up in 2003 with all this constant bickering.

"We were up 2-0, things were looking up for us in Riga. Then reality hit us hard, like a bag of bricks. A very large bag of bricks. Davos never once flinched and I think we got ahead of ourselves. We clebrated too early. We thought Europe was ours and then it was snatched from us. It was gone as quickly as we thought it had come. It's a disappointing end to a fun season. One of the best I've ever had in the VHL. This is the type of series lose that makes you question your existence. What did we do wrong? What did I do wrong? What if I had been two inches to the left and stopped that puck? Instead it sails past me, sails past King, and into the net? We blew a 2-0 lead and it hurts. It stings. It pains me to even talk about it now, but in time all wounds will heal. We will come back stronger than ever." -Niko

The playoffs may have started last week for other teams, but after winning the Victory Cup, Riga found themselves with a much needed break. Playing strong all season, the rigors of the season has taken its toll on many of the players' bodies. "I'm glad we held on to win that Victory Cup, and along with it a break. It's been an exhausting season, but this was a much needed break." Said Rookie Defenseman Niko Bogdonavic. Some teams do not necessarily respond well to the long break between the end of the regular season and their start in the playoffs, but it seems as if the Reign haven't skipped a beat as they've started their series with Davos with two straight wins. After all the off season acquisitions and their draft, expectations were high for the Reign. Now only two wins away from representing Europe in the Continental Cup, the Reign have their goal in the crosshairs and the hype is at an all time high.

The season is 72 games long and the Reign are using just about every single one of them to lay claim to the European Conference title and the Terrance Fong Trophy and hope it comes along with a Victory Cup for the best record in the regular season. The Davos Dynamo have hit a hot streak recently with a late season surge winning their last eight. This puts them right on the heels of the Reign only three points back with two games remaining for both squads. It should be quite the finish. The Reigns Magic number is one. The Reign are also contending with the Quebec City Meute for the Victory Cup, the team with the best regular season record. The Meute currently have a game in hand on the Reign and are one point back. That leaves the Reigns magic number at one here as well. Any combination of a Meute loss or A Reign win and the Victory Cup is going to Riga. It will be a photo finish and is quite the fitting end to an exciting season.

I'm running out of ideas to write about, so here's a shitty repeated a thousands times interview with my basic bitch of a player. Niko, how is life for you at Riga? "It's pretty good, I can't complain. We are winning and we are having fun. My teammates are a good group of guys and I'm lucky to be a part of this group." Have you found anything fun to do in the city? "There's a ton to do. I will now generically describe all these things because I really have no idea. We have bars. We have clubs. Those are fun. The women are sexy and always willing to hang out with a professional hockey player if you get what I'm saying. Museums, parks, restaurants, historic places, you name it, Riga has it! I would be selling the place short if I didn't mention the architecture, oh my, what beauty." Have things finally settled in for you then on the ice? "Oh yes, very much so. Your first few times out on the ice you are nervous, not sure what to expect from a new place, but I've settled in quite nicely. The nerves calm quickly and you get back to doing what you do best, play hockey." How do you feel about your playing time, stats, and the team in general? "I can not and will not complain one bit! The nice part about Riga is that no one person needs to be a superstar and carry the weight of the team on his back. We can attack from any angle and you never know who will be the star of that particular game. I'm pleased with everything about Riga. Winnings sure helps that as does having good teammates around you. I can't complain about my ice time as I'm out there plenty and I do contribute which is a great feeling." Has the stigma of signing with Jones Agencies subsided, where people once scoffed at you and he for his comeback, or do you still think people doubt you? "I want them to doubt us. Makes them look all that much more sillier if they continue to do so. I think at this point people have realized that they've made a mistake not giving us a second thought. Riga is pleased they took the flyer on me and I'm going to work hard for them as a result. Giving them 6-8 hours a week, if not more, is what I plan to do for them for the foreseeable future. Stark is a distant memory, but his plateau is one I don't intend on staying on. 400 is on the horizon and I see a mountain to climb after that. 800 is the next big milestone with 5,6,and700 as my smaller ones to help me get there."

Dear Kidnappers, Recently you have decided to kidnap some members of the VHL, but with no ransom note or any indication at all about your demands, it's almost as if they were happy you kidnapped them. Are you on a tropical island somewhere sipping Bahama Mamas and bedding Bahama Mamas and these guys have forgotten about the ice? Are you at a theme park eating endless cotton candy with an unlimited amount of ride tokens? Are they playing Xbox all day? What gives? I like going to a tropical island. I like Bahama Mamas. I like roller coasters. A lot actually. Xbox is fun too. Why did you kidnap these guys and not me? Why you no kidnap me and my friends? I'm stuck here with children fighting amongst themselves. I feel like even if you've got these guys gagged and only feeding them one meal a day would be better than seeing this crap every day. I want to gouge out my eyes. Come get me. I'll be waiting. Love, Niko

Im saying that once upon a time in these leagues I found trolling and all the "drama" amusing. Highly amusing. The older I get the more frustrated I get when I log on and see another spaz out from any party involved. It's not cute. It's not funny. Again, that's probably me "growing soft" as I've grown older. When things aren't enjoyable, you don't want to do them anymore. The personal attacks have never had a place in these leagues and I don't condone them one bit, regardless if they're just to get a rise out of someone/joking. People need to think before they act and that's the problem, they aren't. The blame for their actions is on everyone else but themselves, or there's some excuse as to why something was done/said. Fuck that noise. "Some men just want to see the world burn." And think it's funny, and it is. To them. And them alone. Who gives a shit if their actions affect other people and make people want to leave? Certainly not them, they've had their laughs at that point. I'm Just sick of the bullshit.

This constant bickering shit makes me want to leave this league again. Maybe I'm the one who has gotten soft as I age.
-
I don't get how hard it is to not insult someone you claim is important to you. Normal people don't do that. Think before you lash out and I think you'd be okay. You act first and think later. For those that want that change, it's easily obtainable.

I tend to keep conversations about my wealth confined to my GF and my immediate family, not broadcasting it, or trying to shoot people down with it, in a sim league where it has zero relevance. But to each their own. No one here needs to know. No one here gives a shit. I don't care if you're poor or you're rich, we are all here to have fun in a sim league(all this constant bickering between parties is making that a hard thing to come by these days). Yours, mine, or anyone's outside lives have jack shit to do with what happens in this league. Everyone needs to Sit down, shut the fuck up, and let's all have fun, eh?

I don't know man...the way you worded it made it seem like you knew, or suspected at the very least, and then fired off a shot to get a reaction.

A dick swinging contest broke out in here I see.

Niko Bogdonavic isn't the best rookie in the league, in fact he's not even the best rookie on his team, but that does not mean he is not contributing. The rookie defenseman is currently finding his stride more and more as each game comes and goes. "This Riga team has a ton of options. Every night the star will be someone different. I am not disappointed in being the second best rookie on my team. Not at all. Everyone on that team knows we're just that, a team. We contribute where we can and when we are asked. As a defenseman I am not all that interested in scoring goals, sure they are nice, but I am interested in stopping the other team. I am learning from one of the best in Phil and I strive to improve every game. Second best rookie on my team means nothing in terms of someone trying to slander me or make me upset. It means our team is loaded and can hopefully make a run to the playoffs and even further, to a Continental Cup championship. If I am second best the entire season that is okay. We all have our roles to play."

Hurricane Harvey has wreaked havoc in the Gulf Coast of Texas, and continues to do so as a Tropical Storm. Tens of thousands of people have been affected by the storm and the ongoing rain that still continues to fall. Thousands of homes are underwater, countless businesses as well. The loss of property is estimated to be in the tens of billions. Citizens and athletes around the world are doing whatever they can to help wherever they can. Today the VHL announced that they will halt their regular season for one day to hold a telethon in the day, and later in the evening host a celebrity charity game, in conjunction with the NHL, in hopes of raising money for those affected from Hurricane Harvey. "We are all humans and it's utterly shocking to see what is happening to those people down in Texas." Commissioner Smarch said, "We have spoken to representatives from each team and they have all overwhelmingly agreed to put our regular season on hold to host this telethon and charity game. In conjunction with the NHL, we have Countless members from that league as well that want to help with the telethon and play along side our guys and gals in the VHL. We have received thousands of calls from celebrity's that also want to lace them up and participate in this event. It's amazing to see everyone put aside any and all differences they have to come together and help do their part to help these people." He concluded. The game, which will take place this Tuesday September 5th at 7pm, will be held at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, home of the Dallas Stars of the NHL. Tickets will be $20 each with all proceeds going to help the victims of Hurricane Harvey. Special pricing on all concessions will be available throughout the stadium at every stand. Dollar hot dogs, dollar sodas, and dollar waters, and hamburgers and nachos will be two dollars each. Again, all proceeds will be going to help the victims. Proceeding the game will be a televised telethon. Many players from the VHL and NHL have already pledged their time to man the phone lines for this telethon, but have also pledged portions of their salaries to the cause. So far $27 million has been raised from this alone. Some players have even said if they hit a $10 million dollar goal with this telethon they will double their donation. "Were hoping people can spare anything to help out. With $27 million already pledged from our players, this is a huge step in the right direction. We are hoping we can hit fifty million raised from all this, but that would be but a small dent in the amount of money that is truly needed, but every dollar helps." Commissioner Smarch said. "We know people are helping and continue to want to help, and some have not but want a way in which to do so, here is your chance." He wrapped up with.
