With Christmas finally over, it's time to look ahead to the new season, at last. Is there a team you are most excited to play against this season? Why or why not? No particular teams stand out right now. I want to beat all of them equally as badly. The World Junior Hockey Championships are currently taking place, in Vancouver. Which non-Canada team do you think has the best shot at winning Gold this year? What are the World Junior Hockey Championships? Do they even play ice soccer outside of Canadia? Do you ever make friendly bets on international tournaments? If so, what's the strangest bet you've made? Being mormon, I don't drink or gamble. It's OK to have a shitload of wives though, so I don't mind. Do you have any opening night superstitions? I always kiss my 9 wives before I hit the ice and arrange the order of copulation for when I get back home. It's just easier and avoids conflict. Hockey wise, not really, I just play how I'm supposed to play. Silly trinkets and things won't help me. This season, there will be the same number of rookies on opening night, 4, as last season, though they make up a much smaller portion of the roster this time around. Are there going to be any rookie initiation hi-jinks? Not from me. The rookies should already know that they are a part of the team. Hazing them is childish to me. I'd rather help them with training etc. With expansion becoming a more realistic proposition for the league, what city would you like to see added to the VHL's ranks? I'm not in a position to make such important decisions. That is why the Board of Governors gets paid the big bucks. I've liked the idea of a Russian team previously, so иди командой

Well here we are. Christmas has come and gone, boxing day has seen countless gifts exchanged and that Christmas ham is still only half finished. I'm in an odd mood, and truthfully that has been the case for a couple of weeks. I missed out on what I think may have been the property (well, 234 acres) that I thought would be my home until they carted me away in a coffin. Alas, extra tax payments that would have been payable, that were only discovered on the day of contract exchange, forced me to abandon the whole thing. Fuck life. Anyway, back to the VHL. I was slightly disappointed to receive only a single vote in the Titans leadership ballot, but I understand the situation and do realise that I'm no longer the member that I used to be. There is a more motivated and useful new member group in the league and it's great to see them active and involved. As for Odinsson, he's the player that I never expected to have. I'm not fully invested in him, but I won't retire him and have assured Quik that he will be a Titan for as long as he needs him. Quik took a chance on me not being a complete loser and deserves me to reward the faith shown. As for why I am writing, it's simply a complete lack of interest in doing GFX this week. I hope that interest returns soon, because its obvious that writing is not my greatest asset. Happy New year VHL, and here's to an excellent S64.
