  1. Maxwell isn't gonna be much help either mist4ke tho no you can't have him.
  2. oh lol yeah that makes sense nvm but the last line does still say that "A player can be called up for the playoffs once their VHLM team is eliminated or sent down once their VHL team is eliminated." and while I guess this could be a little ambiguous as to whether or not it directly allows mid-playoff call-ups/send-downs, we've had it happen at least once before.
  3. It also says "Players below 175 TPE can be called up or sent down at any point between the end of the playoffs and the trade deadline."
  4. because scotty rigged it
  5. Okay, yeah. Though the fourth sentence is actually the more notable one.
  6. you sure? I remember something about mid-playoff send-downs not being allowed but idk if that's just an "in the future" thing
  7. nah man you knew all along you were just waiting for game 7 to bust out the news just like how now I'm going to point out that I don't actually think Robert Jelen was allowed to be sent down; not sure what the final call was tho
  8. That you won the first three is the more messed up part.
  9. @Victor perhaps you're reading this. lol at you In your last season you decide to not sign with New York? Like wtf man. It's your last season, why not come play for New York one last time? Maybe you don't feel the same attachment that I do to the franchise, but haven't all your players been here at one point? Why with your last player would you just throw that away? Whatever. The funny part of it is that you hadn't missed the playoffs in so long and then you turn your back on New York to sign with that Toronto team, and then New York ends up winning the cup. I mean, you probably don't care all that much. I'm sure you had a fun time with that Toronto team, I really believe that. But I just think it's kind of funny how underwhelming of a final season that was. A better season and a Cup could've pushed Greg Clegane to be considered the best goalie in VHL history, but instead nah. Oh and I guess thanks for giving me my first chance to be a GM here way back when you were like 14 years old.
  10. oh and fyi in case you don't realize it this is just my opinion! and this is for Maxwell
  11. Not that second matters, but if for some reason Devise were ineligible, Frank would get my vote. I don't believe for a moment that he would win, but I personally feel that he's the best candidate after Devise. I suppose you could make a case for Banackock, but as I see it, he's just a worse Devise. The trade for Odinsson ended up a disaster, though I don't know how much we can fault him for that. Free agency didn't treat him well, and personally I find that to be his own fault. He put himself in a position, not attracting any free agents, where he had to trade for Joel Jarvi, giving up a cheap depth player in Max von Hohenzollern and a second round pick that could turn into another decent prospect. Meanwhile, Devise signed William Covington, whose top two choices were New York and Seattle. Covington wanted to sign early, but Banackock wanted to see what other free agents were doing first, costing him a player who he could've had a good shot at signing. Banackock didn't really do anything impressive other than I guess acquiring Biggu Kyanon. Why not Toast? Well, the way I see it, he should have been able to acquire Phil and Jeff Hamilton. He had the cap space. But he didn't even offer for both of them. He didn't communicate with them that he could afford them both. He didn't try to convince them to sign with him. Given the roster the team had (just look at their defense), that pair could've made a huge difference. To lose them to Toronto, where they seemed to go more by default than anything else, is unforgivable when it comes to voting for this award, as far as I'm concerned. What about eaglesfan? He didn't really do anything. But why @Frank, a member known for usually being stupid? After acquiring Dadonov and Odinsson last season, he came into this off-season and recognized that moving forward with them and trying to compete sooner rather than later was not in the team's best interest. To get Dadonov and Odinsson, he gave up S52 SEA 1st, S52 SEA 2nd, S53 COL 1st, and S53 QUE 2nd. And then trading them away, he received S52 COL 1st, S53 SEA 1st, S53 SEA 2nd, and S54 COL 1st. He did also give up Sleeman, preventing him from getting probably another second round pick somewhere. But he did also receive a couple other players, though those guys are essentially nobodies. The point is, though, the fact that he was able to still come out basically even on the exchange (and depending on how Cologne does in S54, he could come out ahead) is impressive. I definitely see it as having done a better job than any other GM aside from Devise.
  12. Yukon Mounting Comeback in VHLM Finals Down 3-0 in the VHLM Finals, the Yukon Rush appeared headed for a second place finish behind the Bratislava Watchmen. The Rush had just finished a series against the reigning champions, coming back from a 3-2 deficit in the series to take down the Saskatoon Wild in seven games. With five games now played against Bratislava, the Rush find themselves in the same situation: down a game, needing to win the next two. They were able to do it against Saskatoon, and now if they want to complete the reverse sweep to take home their first Founder's Cup since Season 38, they'll need to pull it off again. The Watchmen and the Rush were first and second in the regular season standings, respectively, so for them to both be here in the finals is no big surprise. During the regular season, the Rush won seven of the 12 head-to-head matchups between the two, most of which were close, with a couple of blowouts in Yukon's favor. The series began with both teams having championship aspirations. Bratislava came out swinging, scoring the first goal of the series just eight seconds into game one. The games were close, to continue the trend, but Bratislava managed to take down the first three wins. A shutout in game three had Yukon on the ropes. Astrid Moon, against whom the Rush had put up some big numbers during the regular season, was playing a much improved game. The top regular season goalie, mist4ke, helped carry Yukon to a game five win against Bratislava. Up three games to none, the Watchmen decided to rest Moon for a game and give Vernon Von Axelberry a start, his first of the playoffs. Yukon took advantage and won the game 4-3, sending Axelberry back to the bench for likely the remainder of the series. Still in must-win mode, the Rush earned a trip back to Yukon for game six in large to a strong 32-save performance from mist4ke. The star goalie had not been having the best series thus far, but he was the best regular season goalie and the carry potential is certainly there. Coming into the season, the Rush weren't necessarily expecting to be a top two team. While playoffs were always a certainty, the team was anticipating a lower seed with upset potential. Much of the team will be back in Season 52, with the offensive star Pierre Gaudette possibly being the only player to move up to the VHL, though they will also lose Apollo Aho to the draft. Depending on where mist4ke is drafted in the VHL, he may choose to start his VHL career and leave the Rush behind. Yukon is not without the draft picks to replace the players they are losing. They hold their own first and second round picks, along with Saskatoon and Bern's third round picks. While the Rush know that they have a promising Season 53 ahead of them, they are still in the playoffs this season. They have already come back from a 3-2 deficit once in the playoffs, and they could certainly do it again. for Maxwell

    World Cup GM

I will apply for the GM position of Team USA
  14. I honestly didn't realize that was a thing. I mean, I guess I would've guessed you were a few years older, but idk.
  15. Yeah S46 I would imagine takes it. Two sweeps followed by three five-game series. Just 23 games and only three more than the fewest possible.
  16. Just looking at the past few I imagine it's not. Mostly 29 and 28 game playoffs. Idk why this seemed like such a small number to me that made it worth making a thread about
