Strasmore is still on a high after the Calgary Wranglers sensational Continental Cup win a few weeks ago. Although the partying has been rampant, he, along with most of the team, haven’t been skipping out on training during the day. Well, the exception of @Eso, who’s been on a bender ever since the victory. What a legend. Strasmore is really fine tuning his skill set now. It seems he hit his stride in the playoffs and even got a Daisuke Kanou nomination for his efforts. If he can continue that type of production, he will really be set to take charge of the Wrangler defense and become a premier defender in the VHL. Only time will tell if he really is entering his prime but regardless, his anticipation is very high entering this season!

Feels amazing but to be honest I never left the ice. Winning the Continental Cup was a dream of mine since the SUper Bowl chances were ripped out from under me. This, I can't imagine, feel worse than that! I am over the moon.

1. I answered all of these in my podcast so LETS GO and answer them again!! ALWAYS PUMPED AND AMPED UP. In the words of Phil Strasmore: 2. This is more to do with the coaching and the organization of the defense. Credit to Seattle for trying to limit us, as one of the most offensive teams in the league 3. Definitely not a player skill issue. Our team, all of us, have been having an incredible playoffs and I think that is mostly in part why no one is scoring hat tricks. We aren't relying on just a couple of players to get the job done. 4.Both. for different reasons - I relish silencing a crowd after a big hit, fight, or scoring, however nothing can get you going than having 30,000 people behind you. 5. Spring seems a very long way off up here. No allergies to deal with yet. All the best down south! 6.potatoe, goats cheese, and bacon, topped with some herbs. Homemade pizza is the way to go!! FOr longer answer, see my podcast!!

Strasmore will be the first to tell you that it felt absolutely amazing finally winning a playoff series. Just Last week, the Calgary Wranglers dismantled the Los Angeles Stars, hittting them so hard with the broom (can you say: SWEEP????) that stars were all they were seeing. Now Calgary find themselves in a battle in the conference finals against a Seattle Bears team that knows what it’s doing. The series is tied 2-2 at the moment, but Strasmore has a sneaking suspicion: ”Of course, I don’t want to jinx it, as anything can happen in playoff hockey, but I will say that we’ve given them the two wins this series. They were outshot badly in both their wins with their goalie have a sublime performance. We just need to shut them down defensively and slot a couple home to close this series out” Bold words from Strasmore. The third-year defenseman is taking on more and more of a leadership role in the team, under the guidance of Janser, Wolanin, and the many Leandros. Game 5 is tonight! Catch it live on VHL TV. All Games streaming now.

1. Psyched. I mean, we crushed it through LA and now we wait to play Seattle. Should be a hard fought series but I want to send them into early hibernation. 2. Let's go! GAME 1 Shutout. I'll do my part defensively to make that happen for sure! 3. I've been impressed with my performance in the first series. Way more offensive production than I could imagine. 4. Janser will against Seattle. calling it for Game 2. Let's gooooooo 5. I probably used it a few years ago now. Man it's been a while. I wonder if people these days even know what Maroon 5 was talking about in the song Payphone. lolol 6. I would love to see Terry Goodkind's series The Sword of Truth adapted into a TV Series. I think they did try it but it was so low budget and shit they cancelled it after the pilot. In terms of a movie - I think the famous Paulo Cohelo's The Alchemist would be a great little movie.

Once again here we are with the clock ticking away towards midnight on another point task week. This week’s article is brought to you by alliteration, a common theme amongst articles provided by KnightTime studios. Going back to the first part of the sentence, that is actually a double entendre. The second meaning is that Strasmore is really quite nervous about this seasons playoff run and it will be getting underway for him within a day. He’s running fast out of time to ensure he is prepared. the third year defends man has had another improving year but he has yet to help his team through a playoff series. The pressure in the locker room is palpable and he’s really looking inward to see if he can do more this year to ensure the Wranglers make a deep run into the playoffs: ”I know it is not just up to me but if I can be at my utmost best then I’ve given my team the best chance I can at helping us get a series win. This organization has done so much for me so I really believe they need me to do this for them. Expect me to give it my all, hit hard, skate fast, and be looking up as soon as I take to the ice.” despite the reassuring words in that press release, he for sure is putting a lot of pressure on himself and that is definitely a stressor. The biggest question is: can he rise above it?

1. What's up, Wranglers?! Looks like we're on our final week of the regular season. Are you ready for playoffs? I am totally ready. We have had some rest and now it’s go time baby. Let’s do this!!! 2. What are the odds on us winning the rest of the games and Vancouver losing all of them for the Victory Cup? very unlikely, especially since it didn’t happen. It’s okay though. We will actually win a playoff series this season. 3. Which away arena is your player's favorite? London. Because it’s Strasmore’s actual home arena. That or Toronto, because it’s Phil Knights home arena. 4. Did anything happen by the trade deadline that surprised you? I actually did the theme week. 5. Any NHL trade surprises? tbh yes, all the moves Dubis made for the Leafs, the biggest being being Ryan OReily in. Great for our depth. We will still lose thoigh. 6. Are you allergic to bee stings? nope. I’m not allergic to anything as far as I am aware.

The regular season is winding down and the dust is settling on another season for Strasmore. As he looks towards winning his first playoff series, he reflects on his achievements this season. There are still 7 games to go, however it's safe to say that Strasmore has continued improving throughout his career. He's equalled his goal total from last season (an astonishing 6), but destroyed his passing gains, with 17 more assists than last season for a total of 48. It does not sound that impressive, but when you are talking about a 55% increase, that sounds more like it!! His plus/minus is well down however, only at a 18+ compared to last seasons very nice 39+. That's more of a subject of playing against the VHL's best, rather than second best. He's also reached new heights in minutes spent in the penalty box with 189. He will need to focus on his discipline. He has smashed his last season's hits total, eclipsing the 200-milestone with 207 so far. He'll want to be reaching for at least 250 next season. Still it's another 15% increase from last season. In terms of shots blocked, he's on track to get a couple more than last season. He currently has a respectable 126. Sure, he's improving and statistically we can see that, but Strasmore is not really focused on that. All Calgary eyes are turned towards the playoffs. Can they break the curse of the Leafs and win a goddamn playoff series!?!?!??!

1. Why does Chicago hate us? Because we are good. People always hate those that are better than us! 2. Karl Pedersen @JeffDhas started a few games! Of his 4, he has 2 wins and 2 losses (one OTL). Both wins were shutouts. What do you think about the future of Pedersen? Dude has been LEGEN (wait for it) DARY. LENGENDARY! It's great to see. Always useful to have a good backup! 3. We're sitting 7 points ahead of the next team, in which the next 8 teams only have a few points variance between each other. Do you think the dust will settle at the end of the season and show the points further apart, or will they remain to be neck-and-neck? I always hope for a game to game swapping of the standings. It keeps everything really exciting. Not sure how this season will end, only that it's coming up fast on us. Let's focus on getting past the first round! 4. Who was your player's role model growing up? The Rock. Phil the Rock Johnson, of course, but really any of the English players - Phil Rafter, Phil Gerrard, Phil Hamilton, well, you get the picture. 5. Who was your role model growing up? Mats Sundin. I even saw him at a Loblaws picking up his Christmas Turkey one year. He handed me a puck through the glass at an open Maple Leafs practice. I couldn't believe it. He was the definition of class. 6. Star Wars or Star Trek? Honestly I've never given Star Trek a fair shot. I would say Star Wars, but they gone off the deep end. If we are talking the classic trilogy, then sure Star Wars, otherwise, it's a coin flip.
