Game 21: Express vs. Legion Final Score: 4 - 1 5 games into the season, and the Express come out guns a'blazing. Failing to lose and scoring over 3 goals a game, the trains basically steamrolled over one of the top favourites for the Cup, the Toronto Legion. In the first, it was some defensive chemistry between Kaminogi and D. Hamilton that caused the Legion problem, breaking the deadlock at 16:04. Surprising, there were no first period penalties. During the second period, the Express doubled the pressure, and their shot total, outshooting them 12 to 6. This time, half way through the frame, the chemistry between Kohler and Jarvi shone through, as Jarvi dumped the puck behind the net to Kohler, who quickly shot it back out into the slot where Jarvi was stepping up to snipe it five-hole. This added more than just an insurance marker. It added a puck-ful of confidence. The shot total in the third was the exact same, but the Legion managed to slip one by Zhumbayev, who stopped 20 of 21 shots. However, It was that defensive pairing of D. Hamilton and Kaminogi who set out to cause more problems, as they connected again to (surprisingly earning D Hamilton's 5th goal in 5 games!) on the powerplay at the half-way point of the third. Finally to really push salt down into the wound. Those two beasts of defenders assisted COL LW1's first goal of the season, sealing the deal. It was a remarkable performance from our second line defensemen. who both had a goal and 2 assists, earning them first and second star, while Zhumbayev claimed honour to the third star. The Express were sitting top of the league and looking down on all, however, the honeymoon won't last as the same problems from last year remain painfully obvious. Nice poddy @Beketov. Glad you liked the pun! Knight and myself Have already been inducted into the HoF as builders. As we've discussed at length on a past podcast, the Builder HoF should no longer be called Builder. Rather we need to keep the Builders (ones who FOUND the actual league) separate from a CONTRIBUTORS (ones who have contributed to the league by building good players, GMing for a long time. Because there are no true builders left. Ask yourself "what have I done FOR the league?" If you can answer that (which Beketov you and I can arguably done) then you have a shot at being a builder. Occupying a paid job in the league (no matter how long) is not something to warrant being inducted as a "builder" That is absolutely why my induction has been my most special achievement on the site. The vast majority of what I had done is behind closed doors and the amount of hours I put into doing those things is impalpable. Absolutely agree with you that this induction means a lot. Great podcast.. is it odd that I was gaming while listening... I was playing warframe.. but could hear the audio from your game haha. Threw me off some of the time.

I used to not have problems with Skype calling with that method... however recently I have been... not sure what changed... that's why I dont bother with guests anymore.

I use the basic Voice Recorder that comes with windows. You can just upload it to zippyshare from there. I edit my podcasts with Adobe Premiere Elements 9 because I'm the overlord of podcasters.

What are you thoughts on the Bears team this season? Can you guys sneak into the playoffs or do you think you'll just hang low and go for good picks? I've only ever built one goalie (and that was in the SHL) Since I won the lottery and will be able to create another player soon... if I decide to choose goalie, do you have any tips for me?
