  4. Who will win the cup? There is one question that is always in the back of everyone's mind, from the start of the season and to the finish. All ten teams desperately try to make sure that they are the answer to that question but we will have an in-depth look into the VHLM to answer our main topic. Who will win the cup in the VHLM? The Bratislava Watchmen have already been eliminated from contention with the Yukon Rush clinching an early post-season berth. Here we will discuss the top five three out of the entire league and rank them to what we believe to be their strength in comparison to the other teams. Each of these teams have dedicated players that strive for excellence and success but which one will be the one to actually come through and hoist the cup? Yukon Rush This is a tremendous team and are undoubtedly the best team in the league at this moment. Their defense is the best in the league and their system is very beneficial to their position. Their offense is led by Don Draper, one of the premier defencemen in the league, who has managed to bring his team to the front of the race. Backed by their strong two-way play is their stellar goaltender Brock Waldron. He is the best goaltender in the league and there is no question about it since his stats speak for themselves. If there is any one reason why Yukon would win the cup, it is because of Brock Waldron. Turku Outlaws The Outlaws have arguably the most potent offense in the league with three players breaking the one hundred point barrier. Insane. Yoji Yamazaki has to be the most impressive of all his teammates, he may not be leading the team in goals or points but he is instrumental when it comes to two-way player. It has been quite some time since I have seen a player of Yoji's caliber appear in the VHLM and I believe he should go first overall in the upcoming draft. Mark my words, he will be one of the premier players in the VHL and will play his way into the hall of fame. His teammates Sundberg and Kinkaid are not too far off and I believe that these two can help the Outlaws make a strong run in the post-season. Moscow Red Wolves This is a team with an uphill battle ahead of them and will most likely have to battle for much longer to even reach the finals. The reason the Red Wolves were put at number three was because of their depth and incoming talent. GM Corcoran was not afraid at all and triggered all the right trades to bolster his team to make a cup run. Moscow is all over the place with their records, going on winning streaks and then losing stretches. They will need to be consistent if they have any hope of sniffing the cup. Final Prediction We believe the Moscow Red Wolves are going to scratch and claw their way into the cup finals against Turku. Their biggest obstacle will be the Yukon Rush but with this team's determination, I think they have what it takes to complete an upset and be the champions at the end of this season. They have the big names, a GM that believes in the team and a great core group of players. It will be great to see how their production is affected throughout the season and if they can actually put it all together.
  5. Filip Henrikkson is born in denmark and come to VHLM to be best player in league. He wants to win many cups and is going to destroy every team in VHLM that is not his team. Filip is very smart and handsome man all woman want him because he is very good at score goal. He bring hammer to the sledge and none escape him because he is strong 6'2 frame and scary man. He is so good he will draft at 0 overall because too good for first overall. One day he win continental cup and everyone chant name because he is a champion. He no lose because he always win and will have every trophy in VHLM, even best goaltender award because he is winner and winner don't lose. In denmark league he score one thousand goal in one season and anyone who say he no score one thousand goal in one season is no alive anymore. Hello VHLM. My name is Filip Henrikkson and I am better than you.
  6. VHLM Spotlight: Bern Royals The VHLM is being led by the European Conference, that have a majority of their teams competing for play-off spots and also have a wide array of scorers split between teams. This group includes the progressing Bern Royals, that have shown to be highly consistent and put up a great fight against other teams within the league. They may not sit at the top at this moment, but 30 games in, they show flashes of brilliance. This article will focus on the Bern Royals, and delve into their statistics and players. Bern Royals Record: 24-6-0 Division: 2nd Place Conference: 2nd Place League: 2nd Place The Royals team does not nearly get as much love as the Bratislava Watchmen, the team which went on to start the season off with a ridiculous win streak, playing second wheel to them the majority of the time but they manage to shine regardless. Several factors have made their season a success, which include their monstrous power play, a strong core group of players and a promising goaltender. They are mostly seen as the second best team in the league, but one could see that this team has a good chance in taking down the Watchmen and willing the cup themselves and probably have the best odds of doing so. Their power play is at an impressive 44.33%, slightly above 10 percent north of the Watchmen's own power play unit. They feature many offensive juggernaut players, that are leading the league in their respective positions. Eliana Ben-Lev is no slouch, leading all forward with 34 goals (T-1) and 71 points. Earl Parker leads wingers in points with 67, proving to forge one of the scariest lines in the VHLM. There is no other offense in the league that is as potent as the Bern Royals. This team has all the tools and capabilities to over power any opponent, leading the league in goals for at 154. Unbreakable. A word used to describe Matt Rielly, the defenseman that leads the -ENTIRE- league in points at 77. Impressive, alongside defensemen Ron World Peace and Razzle Dazzle. This defensive trio leads the league, and are all scoring at above a point per game clip. The emergence of Ron World Peace has provided them with steady defense and another viable option to make an outlet pass with a little edge to his game. Will Matt Rielly join other defensemen that have lead the league in scoring at a pace that might allow him to break 200 points, it has yet to be seen from Rielly. They terrorize goaltenders, defenders and forwards alike, frightening. Their shiny new toy, Blaine Olynick leads the Bern Royals in net. For a rookie in the VHLM, he has been quite solid. His save percentage may not be a proper indication of his playing ability but he still has areas that are in need of improvement. He has yet to burn bright, unable to be seen as a goaltender that can make or break the team. He is overshadowed by his team's mindset to play vicious offense and then slightly relax on the defense and at times, leaving Olynick out to dry. In 22 starts, he he holds a record of 19-3-0. Both him and Brookside have 3 assist a piece, it will be interesting to see which wins the point race. Blaine Olynick, the hope of Bern, has a long road ahead of him but as long as he develops, the Bern Royals might just be what some teams fear they could be. Unstoppable.

  8. Can the Rush Win? The Yukon Rush are a raw team, not exactly have all the tools the other teams might have. In a weaker North American Conference, it appears as if they will be making an appearance in the play-offs this season but do they have enough tools to take it all? They are no offensive juggernaut by any means by have a solid defensive system that allows the Yukon captain, Kyrie Knight to lead the plays. The real question remains; do they have what it takes to hoist the cup this season? Goaltending The team has the standard duo of two goaltenders in Zach Fucale and Santeri Heikelä, with the latter being a new waiver pick up. The two have had around an equal amount of stats between them but it appears like Santeri will be taking the reigns if he continues to develop. Their win-loss records are almost identical but Santeri beats out Fucale in most of the other statistical areas by a strong margin. Will Santeri Heikelä be enough for the Rush to get far to the finals and possibly even win? Yes, Santeri will be a key factor on their play and if he improves, the Yukon Rush might become a serious threat. Defense The Yukon Rush have a strong system and have a solid core of defencemen. They have the best defensive corps in their conference and widely considered to have the second best defense in the league, although many critics point out that their conference is not as difficult as the European Conference, which has been competitive. Their team captain, Kyrie Knight is the power play quarterback and is also put out in most of their difficult scenarios. They are the only team in the North American conference to have a positive goal differential and this will play a big part in their winning ways. As the team improves, it will only be a matter of time that the defense will be able to shut out many other teams. Known for their low scoring games, they are relatively sounds in their own end. Offense This is a key component of the team that has been struggling. Their offense have been unable to put up points as they have trouble finding their groove. The team has only three players above the point per game ratio, and that is not by much. They lack proper coordination and are unable to read their own plays. It is still only a quarter into the season so the team still has time to gain more chemistry. Although if they fail, it would put a giant dent in their abilities to make the finals. They have no superior offensive player but if their rookies get better as the season progresses, they will be one tough force to mess with. Conclusion Yes, they do have a chance at winning the cup. The team is considered likely to come out on top in their conference and should be able to make it to the finals, but that is where it gets tricky. The European conference contains many great teams and are considered heavy favorites, especially the Watchmen that only have one loss so far. Yes, they will be able to try and win the cup this season. Will they win the cup? That is up for debate but it is not very likely, but anything can happen in the playoffs.
  9. ok i have 2 rookie double left so i can use?
  10. Kyrie Knight is a Project The tall newly drafted defenseman has a lot of work to do this off-season, and needs to become a much better player if he wants to make the leap into the VHL. He is not a hard worker by any means but still has some talent to possibly make the big leagues. He put up decent numbers on the Outlaws last season, but the team was riding a losing record. Kyrie Knight, drafted in the third round at twenty second overall in the VHL S36 Entry Draft, has a lot of flashy skills but a lack in many other areas of his game. What are the plans to handle the Titan's new prospect? 1) Expectations After putting up 40 points in 68 games, the defenseman is expected to get much better as his time in Yukon unfolds. He also put up average defensive numbers but this can only mean one thing, he needs to put up better numbers. With his new team, which drafted him in the second round, he is expected to actually be the number one defenseman and will take a lion's share of the duties. He needs to score at a point per game pace and create more chances when he is out on the ice. The post-season is another target, and a big chance to gain experience so he has to give it his all. Eighty points and around seventy helpers is a good pick, since no one really expects his shot to develop. A good two hundred hits with added muscle should do him good. No one expects him to make the Helsinki roster after this season and believe he will spend another two seasons to get used to the high-paced game. 2) The Holes Standing at his towering height, Kyrie does not make too much of an effort to make use of his body. He is an offensive defenseman at this point, quite strange to most scouts when they see his figure. As a power play quarterback, he has good vision and decent positioning but lacks any sense to go into corners and is easily blown past if faced with physicality. Kyrie Knight needs to overcome his lack of power and balance if he ever wants to sniff the VHL. Setting the tone is a problem, always relying on his forwards to finish his passes, Kyrie needs to create his own chances. His shot is not powerful but can be deceptive, if it ever hits the net. Kyrie takes many shots, one-timers take up a majority of those and soft wrist shots from afar. He needs to bolster a better shot with accuracy and power to force rebounds and pick corners on the net to score goals. 3) His Thoughts "I think I did alright with the Turku Outlaws. It was a tough season, but I really need to work on my all around game if we ever hope to win. I got drafted by Yukon and they said I am getting a lot of responsibility so I have to be prepared. I put in a lot of work in the off-season and I think I will do a much better job than before. I am not so sure I am the best at handling all this but I think I can pull through. There has been support and help from organizations. I think my passing got a lot better. I got picked in third round but I am not upset because I don't have too much pressure on my back and I can play to whatever pace I like. Controlling the puck is my strength and I think I will be a good general on the ice for our team up in Yukon. I am not thinking too much about Helsinki or the VHL at the moment, I want to do good with Yukon. If I spend my entire career down in the minors, I would be fine with even just that." He is not really a spot light player so he will go under the radar but Kyrie Knight has something special that he will be able to display in the VHLM. Will he make the VHL? No one knows but it will take some time and a lot of effort to reach that target. Will he remain as a #1 talent in the VHLM, or become a #4 in the VHL? It is his fate to choose. http://vhlsim.invisionzone.com/index.php?/topic/3185-twelve-days-of-christmas-prizes/ I am use double?

  13. Kyrie's Opinion about NA VHLM Teams There are many teams in the VHLM, but not many will need the talents of Kyrie Knight. Recently in a press conference, Kyrie and his agent decided to release their opinion on all of the teams, giving decent explanations on why Kyrie would make a solid addition or why he would not like to go to the team. He is not all too picky, but would like to play for a team where he will be recognized as a solid contributer and possible powerplay defenceman while eating up some valuable minutes. Brampton Blades This team has a strong set of players, especially on their defensive core. Tzisling and Broadus form a top defensive pairing but they are also backed by the Backenbauer brothers, both are primed to play strong minutes for the team. Zadorov is another highly anticipated prospect that will log high end minutes for the team. It is a great place, in North America but has very little room for a developing player like Kyrie Knight. "I like the culture and organization of the team but there is no room for me and I don't think I will make a good fit." Minot Gladiators Minot is filled with veterans and has a power house roster when it comes to their entire team. A solid goaltender, great defensive core made up of VHLM veterans and offensive talent up front. Kyrie would be put on the second pairing and forced to play third string when compared to the other players on the blue line. "It's in the states, that's nice but if there's no room for me, then I can't really play y'know." Ottawa Lynx This is a team Kyrie has been hyped about for a few days, They have a decent blue line, but are lead by one of the best defencemen in the VHLM, Connor Low. Knight would see some good time on a great team that looks primed to make a solid run at the championship. If he were to be claimed by this team, he definetly would not mind. "I only have good things to say about when it comes to Ottawa, great city and great culture. I like their management and team, so hopefully they can pick me up. Hahahah. " Saskatoon Wild Have one of the best prospects in the upcoming 36 Draft, Phil Villeneuve. Kyrie would have to play second fiddle to him, but they also have other defencemen that can definetly fill the void. A team that has a long history and solid foundation, but also has a small space for Kyrie Knight to slot in. Kyrie is not as developed as most of their core, but he can learn a lot. "I wouldn't be upset with this team, have a good player in Phil so I hope they get along well. He's a little bit of everything y'know but like I said, it could make a decent fit for me." Yukon Rush A little thin on their blue line, they could definetly use a defenceman like Kyrie Knight to solidify their roster. Herman Mudgett is a prospect on their roster that will most likely eat up most of the minutes, another all around defenceman but with less talent than Phil. Knight could definetly slot in as the second best player in their defensive core, but he isn't all too sure about the team. "It's not exactly because I don't think they will make the playoffs, but I don't see myself playing all the way up north in the Yukon. Any team in the North American conference is fine with me, but i'm not too high on the Rush right now." (Sorry, not too good at English)

    Kyrie

Large body defenceman Kyrie Knight is expected to make his first appearance in league after he is claimed on waivers. He is pass first defenceman and is looking to make a name for himself as a decent offensive defenceman. His skill off the puck leaves something to be desired but he has good vision and plays. With his large frame filling up, he will need Guidance in the minors to use his strength effectively. He is one of many young american defencemen prospects that are trying to refine their game and become solid contributers to team. He is not claim yet but soon will be on team to represent an organization in vhlm. His favourite team is Ottawa Lynx and he hope they pick him up so he can develop into player they need. Scout are worried that he is too weak to put up points in the league so he will have to train hard to make impact on league. Did I do this well?
