i see you.

 

there are so many reasons that people don't enjoy the holidays. whether beloved family members are gone, money is tight and celebrating traditionally isn’t an option, or being around family feels unsafe or disingenuous, the end of the year can be extremely isolating and alienating. i also understand how guilty you may feel for being resentful during a time where it feels like everyone around you is happy and fucking frolicking around. regardless, i just wanted to remind you that it's okay to not enjoy this time of year. i could write hundreds of words with reasons to hate december.

 

the holiday season will be over before you know it–just keep moving forward and do what's best for you.

In Sweden you get the added bonus of arctic winter. Read: about 14 seconds of sunlight per day.
