Just an honest question for nucks fan

Do you regret the Weise trade a bit or you knew he couldn't do much in Vancouver anyway ?

From what I've gathered they don't regret it at all. Wise was not very productive in Vancouver. Sometimes change of scenery can help a player.

I sort of do. He showed glimpses of what he is showing now, but then he would float around for the next 8 games. He did not have a good relationship with Torterlla, so hard to say how he would fit now.

He didn't get along with Torts, but he was just as inconsistent under Vigneault. It could be because both effectively refused to play their fourth lines, but it may have very well been just the change of scenery. Oh well, Weise has been replaced with Dorsett and we have a capable fourth line again with him, Hansen, and Horvat/Vey.

Yeah, Weise wasn't horrible in Vancouver but he wasn't that great. The coaches here never really gave him the chance that Montreal has. Tortorella especially let him sit on the bench more often than not.

If the Canucks had him now under Desjardins, he would definitely thrive like he is as a Canadien.

Getting Raph Diaz in return though, and then letting Diaz go sure looks like a waste on paper.

Although, Weise has been replaced by Dorsett as it has been said here so we gained a great 4th line guy anyways.

Benning sure seems to know how to GM thus far.

Yeah it was, still don't think we make the playoffs but we could definitely finish anywhere from 6th-12th.

Exciting time to be a hockey fan in Alberta (cough)

Screw that.  My version of Alberta doesn't include Calgary! ;)

Lots of comebacks tonight.

Detroit against New Jersey.

Minnesota against Dallas.
St. Louis against Edmonton.

Boston against Winnipeg.

Florida against Ottawa.

I was most disappointed about New Jersey, being 2 goals up and losing in a shootout. Jersey had quite a few chances to win it in the end as well.

DeBoer could get fired .

We aren't a complete disaster. He is on the hot seat but the analytics people will tell you that firing early in the season is a lot better than firing late in the season.

Hockey can be strange sometimes...

Tonight in Toronto, the Maple leafs scored in the last 23 seconds of the first period, scored in the first 23 seconds of the second period, and then scored 23 seconds after the Capitals scored their first goal. All this on the night they honor Pat Quinn, who wore jersey number 23 for Leafs when he played there. What in the serious fuck?
