S40 has gotten off to a very quick start with already eight games in the record books. So far there seems to be one story that has everyone talking, and that’s the success of the New York Americans.

 

The Americans have won every single game that they have participated in, and dominated essentially every single game. Their goal differential so far this season is 22 with their 34 goals for and only 12 goals against. The next closest teams in terms of differential are the Titans and Meute with 8. That just goes to show how much the Americans are running away with the season so far.

 

The question for this Power Poll though is how long do you think the Americans can keep up their win streak? So far they have been impressive on the ice against all opponents, but eventually the run has to come to a halt, right? Well in the upcoming games for the Americans they will be taking on the bottom European teams. They play the Express twice and the Dynamo once.

 

While it seems like these games should be easy for New York we have to keep in mind that the Seattle Bears, the last place team in the NA, were able to bring the Americans all the way to a shootout. So anything could happen regardless of their opponents.

 

So, what do you think VHL? Will New York reach 10 games? 15? 20? I guess we’ll find out in the upcoming sims!
