Captain Announcement

Welcome to a new season as the Vancouver Wolves look to repeat as Continental Cup champions. As always, the long off season officially comes to an end when the Management group gives the kiss of death to another group of players as they name the teams leadership group. With Former Captain Nico Pearce @Spartan traded to Moscow, Assistant Captains in Alex Leduc @Lemorse7 shipped to New York and Biggie Cheese @a_Ferk the team co-play-off MVP shipped to Warsaw. We now have a completely new leadership group trying to fill the huge holes the former leaders left behind. Either way enough of the waffling and more to the announcement:

:que: 2nd Assistant  :que:

Sergey Preobrazhensky @Bulduray_1

Traded for last year’s captain and one of the assistants in Moscow last season clearly shows his leadership value on and off the ice. Almost a complete no brainier that Sergey was going to be announced as part of the leadership group. Hopefully continued his great leadership leads the Vancouver Wolves back to play-off success.

:que:1st Assistant :que:

Dogwood Maple @dogwoodmaple

A bit of a youth movement and it is time for the youth to really shine as Maple did in the play-offs last season claiming a huge leadership role leading the team in points and helped carry the team to the Championship. Now it is time for him to officially lead in his third season being named an assistant captain. Expectations are high for the young forward but I am more than confident he will manage lead the team for seasons to come.

:que:  Captain  :que:

Pierre Emile Bouchard @Gaikoku-hito

Pressure is what this young man will face this season after the team traded away his safety net in Biggie Cheese; who clearly lead the team last season after trading away the team’s Captain in Nico Pearce. No matter how you shake it; the team success will fall heavily on the young man shoulders and it should only be fitting that player to score the Championship claiming overtime winner is named Captain.

Three new Captains as the team looks to repeat as Champions but we know that it takes a team effort and a bunch of leaders through the team to lead the team to success in the regular season and the play-offs. Who is going to be the unsung hero this season, the quiet leader or the shut and get on my back leader. In a few days when the season starts the new Chapter of Wolves hockey will be written.
