Everybody knows his name, his accolades and accomplishments have been a hot topic in the VHL for seasons now. However there isn't a season that goes by where someone doesn't think, Conner Low though. Season 40 has marked a solid but tough season for the 4 time Labatte winning defender. For most of the season it was Matt Bentley of the Quebec City Muete who has appeared to have a lock on the top defender race. However a recent surge has pushed Low very close to Bentley.

The question is, can Low make history? If he wins a Labatte this year for the top defender in the league ti'll be a league record five wins. No other player has obtained that glory. Other players have achieved close, players like Sterling Labatte the man the award is named after. Players like David Walcott who was one of the best of his time. Then of course most recently players like Daniel Braxton and Ryan Sullivan, who each had their own spot of dominance.

If Low is able to break this record and make history, he could very well go down as the greatest defender in VHL history.
