Daniel's Bangor Beavers finished second in the ProAM tournament with a 37-18-5 records and a total of 79 points. Unfortunately the Swiss Center's stats are lost to time and we will await the playoffs. The Rotkreuz native has won the prestigious tournament once before, in S82 with the Dekes of Hazzard.

 

Marcel has signed a one year contract with Prague, where he will join his Western Europe team mate Perry Laperriere. So again, as in the last season, a brother duel in the Continental Cup final is at least theoretically a possibility.

 

Team Western Europe has qualified for the Semi-Finals after a 3-1 win over Team World. They will face their Eastern cousins in the next round. The match up Canada - USA constitutes the other semi-final and is another cousin duel for superiority and bragging rights. 

 

As for the S89 roster of the Wranglers, only small changes have been made. Dilson will replace Lindbergh in net. GM Ricer decided to ship out Abbas for Wheeler and Defender Michael Shotter has been called up from the Cologne Express where they scored 96 points in 144 games. Steve Lattimer will mature one more season in the VHLE where they had 85 points in 72 games and were one of the better two-way forwards of the league. The Wranglers have at the time of writing this article two 1st round picks to stock up on their rather depleted prospect pool. With the advent of Janser's departure and the famous S83 draft masterclass nearing their career-end in the foreseeable future, Ricer and newly appointed AGM Boudreaux are well advised to build for the future, unless they fancy a tanking season or two. As past has shown us with the example of Helsinki and Toronto such a hiatus can easily stretch several seasons.
