Toast 887 Posted November 3, 2014 Share Posted November 3, 2014 For many seasons, the Trade Deadline wasn’t anything to get excited about it seemed. The teams who should’ve been buyers were content with their teams and the sellers were too stubborn to give away their players for anything that would be considered too little. This resulted in maybe one or two deals happening on deadline day, but something changed last season. Last season we saw buyers like the Iron Eagles trade for superstars to help their run for a championship. They wouldn’t be only team to buy that day as many others got in on the opportunity. Of course, many other teams were also selling some of their teams, and were dropping prices as the market fell, making sure that there was no shortage of deals. Heading into the S40 Trade Deadline, it seems that we can expect something along the lines of last season’s trade deadline. Many deals have come before the deadline, which is set for tomorrow a 6 p.m. CST. But with many of the buyer teams already making moves it doesn’t seem much will be happening deadline day. The question for this week’s Power Poll is simple. Do you believe the trade deadline is something that fans should start getting more excited about? Sure, the few deadlines before last season’s were nothing to gloat about, making this obviously the better deadlines, but is this more so what members are looking for? By the time the big day arrives,no one cares anymore because all the presents have been opened.
