Ever since I took over LA, I've always prided myself on raising the jerseys of those that have given everything to this team. Their hard work, dedication and passion for the team has always been on full display, and every single jersey currently in the rafters for LA has been an example of this mentality. Today, I get to do it one more time.

The user and player I am about to speak was likely the most crucial piece to our competing puzzle, which says a lot. This user always ensured they were active, engaged and focused on the common goal of trying to bring a cup to LA. This player stayed their entire career with the team, showing loyalty throughout their career even when things may have looked grim in the beginning, they seen the vision we had for the team and not only wanted to be a part of it, they wanted to be a REASON the team did what it did.

@Gustav ... where do I begin? Drafted alongside current LA hall of famer @Berocka in S84, you always had the mentality of greatness. You were never hard to communicate with, and every extension presented to you, was always met with grace. You were never about yourself and Art always stood for one thing... winning games. Art did things no GM could ever anticipate, and completely broke every single 'record' in franchise history during his tenure. No matter the ask, no matter the pressure, Art was always extremely reliable, and was also easily one of the most awesome goalies to have in the playoffs. In most series, there was no doubt we had a brick wall between the pipes. I cannot thank you enough for your time in LA, and while I could only wish that we could've brought one home for you, and all of the LA lifers, I couldn't have asked for a better player and user to spend their career here.

This is simply the least I can do, for leading a legacy and building a hall of fame worthy career. You deserve it all, and I can only hope we get the pleasure of crossing paths once again.

But yeah, LA was a great time! I’m glad I get to be the franchise everything leader for at least the foreseeable future.

Thanks for an amazing career—I wouldn’t have done the whole thing with you guys if I didn’t get back what I put in from management. Hopefully LA gets its first Cup soon; I’ll never forget my time spent trying.
