Suggestion change the Wilcard playoff format

wildcard teams should just be the 4 best teams remaining so like still the 3-3 from each division and then the four best team that aren't in the top 3 in each conference 

 

example if the season started today Davos Chi toronto and Ny would be the WC team 

SO Davos would play Toronto 

and Chicago NY 

this  help with competition as most of the recent year 1 team usually get shot in the foot by just not being in the "bad" conference it used to be NA now its EU. 

I believe the change isnt too complicated it might be for the index that I dont know as a team from NA might continue to play against the 1st team in EU

I’m open to a playoff format change, I don’t speak for the commies, however as a simmer I’m sure a lot of the decision on if we did change the format is how adaptable is this idea with STHS. It might take some playing around with the settings or it might not even be possible, at the moment I have no clue but if I had to guess this idea wouldn’t work with sths because it’s a cross conference matchup? You can change playoff teams but idk how it would affect things afterwards, not a bad idea tho

Should work, that's how the VHLM does it. I think you just need to tweak the bracket when you start it, but it should be doable.

You can set up custom playoffs and it basically asks you how you want them assigned for each round; you can swap teams up, down, and between conferences.
