The recruitment team is in need of a new leader. Being an extremely important job, we're looking for someone who can bring fresh ideas and renewed motivation.

 

The leader of the recruitment team is responsible for overseeing and managing the recruitment team as a whole. This includes the hiring and firing of recruitment team members. Additionally, the recruitment team leader is tasked with finding and implementing new strategies for recruitment and retainment, of course with the help of the rest of the team/commissioner's office.

 

Pay is 2 TPE per week so long as work is done.

I hate to do this but I'd step down from the MAG to take over this job.  I held this job actually in the past so it won't be new to me.  Also since Seattle has a ton of S46 1st round picks I'm going to be really vested in making us get new members over the next 3 months.  As far as a strategy goes haven't thought about it much but initial thoughts are:

 

1) See what we've been doing and evaluate if it has been at all effective.

2) When I did this before we should send a mass forum email around the trade deadline to the 500+ registered members from not only this forum but any other forum the VHL has ever had.  Let people know its deadline time and the best time to recreate for the next draft.

3) Look into using reddit effectively seems like our target audience is in there many of our forum members use it but it has to be done right.  You can turn it into negative publicity if done wrong.

4) Would like to start a poll getting everyone to say where they joined from (could go thread to thread at create a player but people don't always fill that out).

5) Evaluate social media usage we have half-assed tried facebook,twitter,etc and did it do anything?  If we used to more effectively could it be useful? Or is it completely useless for the VHL?

 

I'm sure I could come up with some other things after really thinking about it but just my initial thoughts but as I said might have to step down from the Mag after just rejoining for 1 edition.

The mass forum email yields terrible response ratio and I emailed every member on the board last season to the email address listed in their profile(thanks to sterling-level access). I think Flyers may have even done it since as well. I did not do the old forum though. The VHL recruitment email address should still be in the recruit thread so if you need the PW, PM me Mike.

I know its not a great success but its not about that it's one action that you take that brings back just 1 more member. So even if it works once then its better than not doing it. Edited by Mike
