This has been written on Friday, 21th of August.

I got information about the trade before it was announced.

First I woke up in the morning, 06:15. After that I checked out my phone and saw 5 emails. 3 of them was all from VHL Private Messages (Other 2 were some nonsense). I checked those emails, and saw that Toast and CoachReilly messaged me.

I instantly thought: ”Wait what? Why did CoachReilly and Toast PM me?” Toast PMing me wasn’t that surprising, because he might have had something VHLM related or Media Spot related things to say. But CoachReilly, I was confused and wondering, why did CoachReilly PM me? What does he want? I was like why? He’s a GM who has never contacted me before. Then I opened computer and sometime later find myself in VHL reading my newly got PM’s. Then it hit me, I’ve been traded, wooow, I was speechless! I couldn’t believe it. I haven’t thought about the possibility of me getting traded. Though I know that I could have been traded any time during my time in Riga. I was confused, I’ve been traded to Davos, looks like I’m going to join a Continental Cup contender team! On the other hand, it would have been nice to go with Riga and see how their rebuild will turn out. Few moments later, me and Coach chatted a little bit. And he sounded cool and happy to have me on the team. I think I got off to a good start with Coach.

That’s what happened in real life. Now I’ll tell this in Valmount’s perspective:

"I was there just thinking about ”How could this happen? We were so close to finals too. I’m still a little pissed about our loss against Oslo, but I just have to forget it. All of it is history.” Referring to the VHLM conference finals, which ended before Valmount got a call about the trade. I got two phone calls, one from Jack Reilly (Coach) and other from the new Riga Reign GM, Steve Smeall (Toast). Riga’s long time GM, Jim Gow, just decided to leave Riga and Steve Smeall was assigned."

"The first call was from Reilly, he told me that I’ve been traded to HC Davos Dynamo, he sounded very glad and excited to bring me to the team. His first words were ”Sir, welcome to Davos”. I didn’t know what to say, I was still confused and trying to figure out what happened. After a while, I relaxed a bit, after that I and Reilly started to talk more.  We got to a good start, I think. The second call was from Steven Smeall. Like Reilly, he informed me about the trade and wished me good luck."

The anonymous question asker showed up once more. Today he asked: Can you tell about the upcoming changes of moving to Davos?

Of course, the next season I will be playing in the VHL! Finally! I look up to play for Davos. I can’t wait to meet all of the amazing players in Davos.

Some cons are that I have to move again… I had a nice little house in Bratislava too. It’s so big thing, that I’ll have a lots of problems with it. Money isn’t a problem. First, I’ll stay in a hotel with my girlfriend, after few weeks we could start looking for a decent house. At least it’s not a long way from Bratislava to Davos.

You'll be great with Davos and I wish you all the best of course. Sorry that it had to be such a surprise though. :(

It came out of nowhere. Didn't expect it at all.
