Higgins 3,618 Posted December 27, 2015 Share Posted December 27, 2015 Team Canada selection camp has gotten underway with invited players taking a morning practice. Some players of course are still playing in the VHL and VHLM finals and were unable to attend the selection camp, but Canada scouts have been watching the playoffs diligently over the past couple of weeks. Team Canada has not played in a medal game in the last two World Cups and is looking to get back onto the podium. It may be a challenge though as Canada has no returning goaltenders and will be going all in on Von Braxton, a goaltender without a VHL game to his name. Overall Canada will have 7 returning players from the last World Cup team, but the GM has made it clear there are no guarantees all 7 will be back, going into the selection camp. He has also made it clear this is a new era for Hockey Canada and will be giving a fair shot to the many young players invited to the selection camp.
