We saw some singles action last night, but tonight, tonight we feature a much bigger event. Tonight, Flip Rodriguez challenges Cian Mercer for the VHL Championship belt! Mercer has yet to defend his title since taking it from Edwin Reencarnacion by putting him through a table. Flip, on the other hand, won his first two matches in VHLW before losing to Reencarnacion in one of our toughest fought battles to date. Flip got his revenge though in the 6-man Elimination Chamber match, where he drew a favorable late entrance, winding up in the final two against Edwin, who had been in the ring since the beginning of the match. Rodriguez was able to secure a pinfall after a long battle to take the reigns as the number one contender, a title which goes into use tonight! The details of this match are to be announced later.. But we can't just have one match.. so what else is in store!?

 

Aleksanteri was one count away from taking a pinfall against Rage in our tag-team tournament to determine the Tag-Team Champions, he was down and out until Zach Parechkin interrupted the pin. Aleksanteri's tag team, The Misfits, would go on to win that match and had a shot at the title (which they ended up losing), knocking out Wrestlers with Attitude (Doom/Rage) in the process. Rage came out to ringside last night and distracted Aleksanteri on multiple occasions, helping secure a win for his opponent, Jose Canseco. Rage made it known that he was upset by this interference and requested a one on one match with Aleksanteri, inside of a steel cage to make sure no interruptions are possible. Well, that's exactly what he's going to get tonight! Aleksanteri vs Rage, in a steel cage!

 

Icicle and Koji Koenig have been going at each other since Icicle joined VHLW. Koenig won their first singles match but Icicle used the hardcore rules to his advantage in their second meeting, putting Koenig through a table and giving him some chair shots to take down the giant. Plus, last night Koenig made his way to the ring with the VHLW's newest wrestler, Drapist, and served up some distractions that resulted in an Icicle loss. Tonight they get round three of their five match series (if it goes that far), where the two men will enter a submissions only match! One of these men will have to say "I Quit" before this one will be over. Who will take the upper hand in this series?

 

Our first match will feature a newcomer vs a newcomer, Philthy&Phamous will take on Drapist. These two have already been jawing back and forth in the locker room and Drapist has made some threats about his finisher, the Mandible Claw. Will we see it tonight? Will P&P shut the newest VHLW superstar up? Drapist got a win last night, but how much of it was a credit to Koenig being ringside? Likewise, P&P isn't exactly proven either, beating Shawn Howard but losing to Jose Canseco. One of these stars will be looking to make a bigger name for themselves after tonight. This could define their careers!

 

We'll also feature a 6-man Battle Royal with a future, unannounced benefit to the winner. This match will feature Doom, Reencarnacion, Canseco, Kwake, Parechkin and Bosstin in some over the top rope action. It will take place just before our championship match!

 

Eight of our competitors are booked for tonight, but we've got plenty of superstars just itching to get into the ring. 9 others to be exact, with a potential 10th. The rest of tonight is open ended - we could go to air with three matches or we could add some pre-championship matches that the VHLW Universe wants to see, so let's hear it - if you want to see a match tonight (something that actually makes sense, preferably) make your voice heard and we'll see what we're capable of.

Lastly, we are 2-3 wrestlers away from having 20 superstars in VHLW. Not only would this be a great milestone, it would also allow us to double the size of our last Royal Rumble, which featured 10 participants. If we can get to 20, that just might be the next deciding match for a title contender... So get your name in the league now while it's hot!

In fact, let's go ahead and get 6 more involved tonight. 6-Man Battle Royal. Winner will have some sort of benefit to be announced later. 

 

Edwin Reencarnacion. Doom. Jose Canseco. Kwake. Steve Bosstin. Zach Parechkin. A mix of veteran and newcomer. A mix of contenders, former and current champions and up-and-comers. Someone has to be the last one standing. This will take place before the championship match!
