I didn't do shit between 45 and 46 but won it in 46 because we won again, so don't really think Molholt deserved it this season any more than I did that season - especially when you had Quebec make some killer moves and go from a non-playoff team to victory cup winner in one season. Although a little too much Koponen dissing went on in here so I can't quite condone that in good conscience. Overall, this was pretty awesome. Thanks for doing this, it's nice to have a proper awards show again after a few seasons of just posting the list. You guys just might win the contract for official VHL media partner - a position that hasn't been held since the pajodcast days! Plenty of teams go from non-playoff to contenders, that is the natural order of rebuilding that happens all the time. It took kesler too many seasons to get to this point, and hooray to Quebec for winning the meaningless victory cup that y'all celebrated so much. Sure, but I don't think the award asks how long it took a GM to get to wherever (if you go by that logic then brovy can literally never win it because he 'took too long') and I don't think you can really make the argument that Toronto improved over S48 more than Quebec did either. I mean, I can't really say it wasn't 'deserved' for molholt this year because thats the way voting has always gone, just like when i won it, but I think the arguement can be made. Tbh it gets kind of frustrating watching people discredit literally everything brovy does just because its brovy. He says some dumb things sometimes but mostly he just hypes his team like most other GMs and players do, i don't think anyone really celebrated the victory cup other than acknowledging that quebec had a good reg season. But just because it's brovy people throw it back in his face and that's pretty unfair IMO. I don't think he is the worst GM, as he is usually quite active and cares a lot about his team, and makes alright moves. Making those moves and propelling his team to the top, despite not winning, was awesome. I think there's a clear brovy hate as well though. - Although Parechkin's +/- wasn't as great as his team's top players, consider he was on the 2nd line. Both lines got more or less the same playing time, but Parechkin didn't get that added benefit of playing alongside +80 Molholt. - Yeah, Phil would definitely win leadership if you were eligible. - Also, I wasn't "bitching" that you always win it. I was just saying there would probably be no chance for me. Just stating facts. Not complaining. You always deserve it. Glad to have won it alongside you, and glad to have won it with Boychuk in a Phil-less season. I used to just say it was nice being nominated but never expected to win it. - For those 13 playoff goals by Parechkin, note that 8 of them were in the finals against Cologne in those 5 games. 4 of them were in Game 1 of the finals which was a 6-2 whooping, so I don't know what that really says. MVP of the finals, sure. Of the post-season as a whole, I don't know. But the finals is obviously the important as well. I'd probably not have voted for myself because I don't like to do that. - I've always wanted to play for New York myself. They've basically been amazing since I've joined the league.
