1. How are you feeling about the start to the season, both for your player individually and the team overall?

2. The weather has finally started to turn for the better in my neck of the woods, and it has me thinking about outdoor cooking. Do you like to BBQ, and if you do, what's your go-to food to do on the Q?

3. Any big surprises around the league on the standings board for you, or has it been what you expected so far?

4. If you get all comfy cozy on the couch with a blanket, how long does it take for you to doze off, regardless of whether you're doing something or not.

5. Would you shuffle the deck with lines and strategies as was initially planned at the start of the season, or let it ride right now until the hot start slows?

6. As promised to some folks, I said that I would have a question about @LucyXpher on here, so here goes! Have you come across Lucy in your travels on here yet? In roles such as Malmo Nighthawks GM, the Halifax 21st GM, head of the VSN, player Lucy Leitner, the Marbles enthusiast, or others, Lucy has been involved in many different areas of the VHL the last few seasons. If you have, feel free to say something nice about Lucy here! If you haven't yet, reach out and say hi, Lucy is an awesome person!

1. Player had a slow start but picking up steam

2. I use my BBQ all winter but my go to is a nice t bone steak

3. I'm surprised by our team being first in our conference for now

4. I have to be really tired in order to sleep anywhere but my bed

5. I would let it ride for now. I think the team is putting up a great effort as it is right now. But I do expect to hit a few bumps along the way, so I think then would be the time to shuffle

6. @LucyXpher Is a big part of the reason why I'm still in the league after a less than impressive beginning. She helped and guided me as soon as she drafted me in the 5th round of the VHLM draft. For that I am very thankful. ( I was a steal for Halifax and now proving to be a steal for Toronto! 😬) Played for her 2 seasons in Halifax then I was her AGM for just a bit over a season and I think that is when she started going crazy with trades 🤪

1 - So far so good, as long as we don't face D.C. for whatever reason.

2 - I don't BBQ often, but when I do, I like slicing potatoes and onions, adding butter, salt, and garlic powder, then putting them in a foil wrap.

3 - Us losing to DC twice

4 - I'm inconsistent. 3 minutes to 4 hours.

5 - Leave it for now, but use my suggestions if/when we falter 😛

6 - Not really, but Lucy seems cool.

1. Pretty good! 3rd in rookie scoring and Riga is in 4th so can't complain just yet.

2. Steak or burgers on the BBQ, chicken breast is also way better on the Q.  It's warming up a bit here but winter is far from over.

3. Surprised Riga is where we are considering our double loss start of the season.  Also surprised Vancouver is struggling.

4. Depends on how active I was before hand.  If its post hike im out pretty quickly.

5. Let is ride until a losing streak develops, otherwise there is no reason to change things for the sake of it while the going is good.

6. Lucy is doing so much for the league right now and im thorogouhly impressed with the level she has taken VSN to.  Amazing content, and the team seems more active and engaged than ever!

5. Yes! Definitely! Mini games for capped or even uncapped TPE too would be nice.

6. Wrigley's doublemint has been my favorite since I was little.

6. Cooking lol

1 - stay the course

2 - no idea. The batman who laughs?

2. I'm lucky to not have any seasonal allergies. Only thing I'm aware to be allergic to is poison ivy.

3. If we keep doing what we are doing,  we will be in good shape.

4. Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Some actors. Some actors always stay in the same movie style and seeing them in a different kind of movie throws me off because it's not what they are known for. Sometimes it works for, sometimes it doesn't

1 - I think Dorji nailed it - S100 picks are too precious to GMs to give up. Plus, it's almost always quiet.

2 - Yes. They are awful. And my family is doing something of a self-imposed austerity budget, so I'm trying to make due without OTC meds.

3 - Not sure how many we need, but I know how many we're gonna get - 42.

4 - Generally not, though I do think, "Oh yeah, I should rewatch {blank}". Like when I see Gandalf, I think "It's been a long time since I watched the X Men movies."

5 - I'm in win-now mode so I haven't paid any attention. Nice to see GooningItUp back though. He's good people.

6 - I'm flexible on this. butter and salt is obvious, but we've done nutritional yeast, parmesan, garlic powder, cinnamon and sugar, oregano, chili powder. Just depends on the mood.

1. Gonna say yes.

2. I've only been to one from what I can remember, was for a cousin.

3. Depth scoring, lots of our players can chip in with goals.

4. Nothing really, no snow I guess? (I say this only from a driving perspective)

5. Wranglers perhaps? Because they seem the most defensive minded.

6. Vegetable soup I guess.

1 - oof. Late to answer this. I'll say Yes lol

2 - Nope. I've been to 3. My own was my favorite.

3 - Scoring by committee is a good way to avoid a star or two having a cold streak

4 - Not being so cold in the basement when I record my Youtube content.

5 - Calgary. They're a sneaky strong team and I have a couple friends there that I would feel bad for when we trounce them.

6 - Lot of good options, but I'd probably go with tomato soup and a grilled cheese. Cheating a bit lol

1. Crunch time on the regular season this week, with only 7 games left before the playoffs. We're holding a 2 point lead over Seattle for top spot in the NA Conference currently, can we hold them off?

Uhh without looking at the standings for the last few weeks, I'm gonna say absolutely yes and just eat crow if it's already decided that we have the top NA spot.

2. Have you been to many weddings? If so, which was your favourite that you went to and why?

I've been to some! I'm not much of a dancer so that's always kind of an iffy thing for me, but I did really enjoy going to my brother's wedding! He busted out some dance moves that I didn't realize he had

Depth. How are you supposed to plan to defend us with no way to have your best players play against our "best" if we're all talented?

4. What do you look forward to most about the Spring?

Honestly? Earlier sunrises. It's so sad during the winter to go to work and come back from work in the dark.

5. It looks as though we're going to play one of Vancouver, Calgary, or New York in the first round of the playoffs. Which of them is the most worrying for us?

None of them, we're the best bwhaahaha. In reality I think Calgary gives us fits and I'd love to avoid them til the conference finals.

6. What is your favourite kind of soup to have on a cold day?

I love tomato soup, but a clam chowder or chicken noodle are just classics.

3. Should we be concerned about Simon's Wild Card team shenanigans that saw two WC teams both make the Continental Cup finals last season? If so, what should we sacrifice to Simon to change these ways?

4. What are your go to toppings if you're making nachos?

6. Do you do better with a heavily structured schedule to your day, or do you prefer to play each day by ear?

1 - Double G fo shore

2 - none of them. Don't really care.

3 - Double G fo shore 😛

4 - Onions, sliced jalapeños. Sometimes franks red hot too, and stir it in.

5 - I'll be honest and say I don't have much of an opinion pre-Toronto but Raimo was a beast this year and will be missed.

6 - Interesting. I prefer free flowing days but sometimes it's nice to have a playback to reference.

(2 TPE for answering all six questions)

1. As we get set today for Games 1 and 2 against the New York Americans, who should we be focusing on most on their roster to slow down in the series?

2. Which of the first round series' in the NHL playoffs is the one you're looking forward to watching the most?

3. Should we be concerned about Simon's Wild Card team shenanigans that saw two WC teams both make the Continental Cup finals last season? If so, what should we sacrifice to Simon to change these ways?

4. What are your go to toppings if you're making nachos?

5. With two players completing the final regular seasons of their careers (Raimo Tuominen and Walter Fitzroy Jr.), what are your thoughts on their long VHL careers?

6. Do you do better with a heavily structured schedule to your day, or do you prefer to play each day by ear?

1. Honestly, really easy to say in hindsight but WWWWWWWWWWWW WWWWWWWWWWWW going off was probably one of biggest factors in NYA getting the series win over us. I mean, Cal G was great as well but WWWWWWWWWWWW WWWWWWWWWWWW really hung in there and shut the door on us. We were having a hard time offensively. WWWWWWWWWWWW WWWWWWWWWWWW is a former teammate of mine and I should've known better than to underestimate his performance.

2. I mean, Blues and Jets was def the series I was looking forward to. The Jets have been an excellent team this season but the Blues really turned it up after the break and had a crazy streak to make it in. They are down 2-0 but anything can happen in this series.

3. We should have sacrificed Raimo Tuominen he wasn't doing anything this playoff run anyways. It's crazy how Simon T works but Simon T giveths and taketh away.

4. Never really thought about that, I just love me some cheese and salsa. Green peppers are really nice with nachos and I'd probably say that is my go to topping. Also, weirdly enough, I like olives as well. Olives on my subs and olives on my nachos are the way to go for me.

5. I mean, being one of them, I'd say it's been an okay career. Didn't win the championship but I have been a part of some great teams, including this Legion team. I do wish I could've been a better playoff performer. Winning the Funk was nice though.

6. I do it by ear because if I heavily structure my day, it doesn't matter, I'm gonna end up breaking that schedule anyways and playing it by ear. Of course, there are days where having a schedule is nice but most days I'm just handling on a need-to-do basis.
