We're off to a good start (10-2-1 as of the writing of this post) and second EU. What are your thoughts on the hot start?

Nice to see a strong start to the season! These early wins could come up huge in the end of regular season, so I am hoping we can keep it up and collect more wins.

 

We have 5 or more goals in 6 of our 13 games. What do you think is driving the explosiveness of our offense?

The new rule/bonus: you can skip practice the next day if you score a goal in a game. Players have responded well to it.

 

We're blasting a whole album in the locker room before a game. What's your submission?

What brand would you sign a deal with for gear (stcks, gloves,, helmet, skates)?

I would go with Koho and bring the brand back big time!

 

Which opponent's city would you most want to explore with a day off on the road?

Prague! The city looks and sounds fun, perfect for exploration.

 

What would you say is your player's most underrated skillset?

I can pass the puck where I want, where the puck goes - that is exactly where I want it to go.

When 3/4 of your defencemen are playing at a point-per-game pace or better, that's going to drive a lot of offence.

What brand would you sign a deal with for gear (sticks, gloves,, helmet, skates)?

Great question, probably gloves since I feel like that'd be a bit of a novelty. 

Which opponent's city would you most want to explore with a day off on the road?

Probably Riga, looks amazing and I've never been to Latvia before.

What would you say is your player's most underrated skillset?

I think right now, nothing, but in the future I think David David will have a pretty high level of puck handling for a defenceman.

1. Yeah, we’re hot. But that’s what is expected of a team like ours and hopefully we’re giving the fans a good show!

2. We have top talent on the team, so that can only bring good things.

3. Tay-Tay! But I would go with the newer albums. I’d probably select Red or 1989.

4. Bauer!

5. Probably, London. Can’t say I’ve been able to visit the city and enjoy everything it has to offer.

6. Vision with a fundamental understanding of the sport. I believe that ties everything else together!

1. Fresh off a week 15 game win streak!! we've had an excellent start to our season but had two tough losses to Toronto. What do you think it is about Toronto that made it a tough matchup for us?

1. Well, Toronto is in my books the other top dog. Maybe not as star-powered, but I'd say they're likelier than any other team to make the finals this season.

2. I feel like it is always safest to bet against anyone winning any award ever. So I'll say that to complete the narrative, Obuz will win 0 awards this season.

3. The team is required to lose at least once a week so we have something to say other than college sports and declaring Spartan's suckiness.

5. If we're going by standings right now its definitely HSK and NYA. Both feel like a strong conference finals option.

6. I can assume their top 2 units even out any other opponent's top 2 units, but I can't say I guarantee they'll outperform. From there it comes to depth and goaltending, and again, I'm not certain that group can grind out some hard-earned goals. I say they fall apart to a scrappier squad!

1. I think they're just a good team, there aren't many of them in the league so they're probably our top competition outside the EU as it stands.

2. Dickhead award. He's a real ass in the LR and on the ice.

3. No posting dogs, I just don't like them.

4. Anything involving those stupid seal emotes, they're ugly and look braindead. Get rid of them.

5. Riga's crept their way up in the EU standings, so maybe they're not a dark horse anymore. But they're in a similar spot to us where they're leaning on some retiring players and they'll be hungry for a strong push in their final season.

6. I think they could go deep, certainly a good team that many teams are now trying to model retools after. I don't think it's feasible for the league to imitate them, but kudos to them for baiting teams into trying shorter rebuilds that are likely destined for failure.

Superior luck combined to lackluster competition of NA, they are able to get those favorable bounces and play against Moscow well-rested as majority of NA hardly gives them a sweat. Meanwhile, Moscow has to shovel away against elite-level teams in EU.

 

What award will Obuz take home this season now that he's a forward?

Some kind of award that makes him feel good for participating in VHL this season.

 

What rule would you add to the locker room out of pure superstition?

All the entrances must have bead curtains, but instead of beads the curtains are made with razor blades, all the players and staff must walk through the razor blade curtains to enter the LR and make small sacrifice to Simon T with their blood.

 

What annoying trend should be banned from the locker room and result in a 15-game suspension?

Turning off the music of Josh Groban should result in lengthy suspension

 

Who is a good dark horse team that we should watch out for this season?

London maybe, they have the most shots in the league, but have not won as many games as you might expect.

 

Are the Capitals legit or will they fall apart in the playoffs as they historically had for most of Ovechkin's career?

I think they will have solid run, they will try to win it for Ovechkin!

99% of the reason I like doing this is so I can get these answers from @jRuutu
