I think we will have a good chance of beating their ass, I am expecting tight games, but we will take the series in 5!

 

2. Does the S96 series concern you at all, or does our regular season success against them give you more confidence?

This season is a new season, we have learned our lesson, time for some payback.

 

3. The final few games of the regular season were brutal for us. What do you think went wrong?

We made easy mistakes and the other teams were lethal in front of the net. Perhaps the other teams just wanted to beat us more than we did, Moscow has been the top team for so long that other teams have that extra desire to show they can compete with the best.

 

4. We're contenders once again, but this time, with no Victory Cup curse. With the regular season now behind us, how do you feel about our Cup odds?

We will go all the way into the finals and bring home the cup, I am confident!

 

5. How do you feel about your player's regular season performance with it now in the rearview?

I think I had a solid year, I was expecting bit more assists, but cool still that I got close to 50 goals! I am hoping I am able to score some crucial goals in the playoffs.

 

6. Who do you think will be our MVP in the playoffs?

I will say Maverick, they will keep firing those pucks into the net and they will also hit the other teams players every change they get.

We're up against the ropes, whether we make it through to the next round or not, how do you feel about our season, reflecting on it to date?

I think Moscow has played solid hockey all year long, I think we will push the series to game 7 and take it home, and when that happens our season has been even better and will almost certainly end in cup celebrations.

 

Wildcard teams seem to be doing considerable damage to the league's top contenders this year. What do you think is causing this? Is it the break?

Wildcard teams are better than in the past perhaps when there is so many teams and so few top-end talents out there.

 

If you could bring back any former Moscow player for help in these playoffs, who would it be?

Someone like Idaho, Markinson, or Pavlov, we need physicality on the ice!

 

Do you have any crazy offseason predictions?

Moscow will get an affiliate team in the NA division where we send our younger players to develop.

   1. Hard to bet against Canada or US, but I'll lean Canada in this one even though goaltending is a question.

   1. We did not make it. We got really unlucky with some, quite frankly, ridiculous ejections including our goalie 4 minutes into a game. If there's a way to prevent that @Commissioner then I'd strong suggest looking into it. 
4. Wildcard teams seem to be doing considerable damage to the league's top contenders this year. What do you think is causing this? Is it the break?
   1. There's a lot of parity among the top teams. It's not like they aren't strong teams themselves. Also, generally the younger a team is the quicker they will improve which means it's quite a different team from the beginning of the season.
5. If you could bring back any former Moscow player for help in these playoffs, who would it be?
   1. Gotta be the legend @STZ Hard Markinson who was an absolute baller in the playoffs. 
6. Do you have any crazy offseason predictions?
   1. We see a shock retirement that shakes up the landscape of the NA Conference.

I think this type of commentary is propaganda, aimed to create favorable negotiation position for any potential trade negotiations during the off-season. Having said that, I am going to spend all of my banked TPE on fighting and checking to go for a Gladiator-type last year of my career, I will entertain and when the last game of the season is done - I will lay down at the center of the ice on my back - dying from old age.

Not sure, more than likely not if there is no world cup going on

1. Not really, I don't think there's much that shakes up the league. Most of these trades aren't for anyone necessarily jumping into a top contending spot.

2. I think Maverick was our best player this season, but Obuz could take home some defensemen awards.

3. Carolina, they're just always tough to play and I think Rantanen will find his stride soon enough.

4. Man ramen for sure from Japan, it's very quickly become my favorite food and super filling and tasty.

5. I'm curious who our helmet and jersey sponsors could be in Moscow. It'd probably just be state propaganda or something, but there could be something cool out there.

6. Either of the Penguins cup-winning games in 2016 or 2017 would be dope. Maybe in Nashville, I think enjoying the Nashville food between/after the game would be better than the Tampa Bay food though.

Almost always Sogaz and Gazprom, so probably them. I think SKA has Gazprom on the jerseys, and pretty much every Russian team in the KHL has Sogaz ads on the boards.

1. As a rookie, and playing a new position, I think the expectation is to just learn from some superstars on the team and develop my skills. Production comes second, though it'd be nice to get at least a half point per game and net positive rating.

2. I'd probably say around 110 is the over/under, or I guess 110.5. The EU is weaker than it's been in the past, which is hard to fathom, but seems like the reality. Moscow and Davos should stack up a lot of free wins this season.

3. I'm not much of a podcaster, I'd just toss on an album or my monthly spotify playlist.

4. It'd be nice to have a tournament in Minnesota or Michigan (I know, it's a state), but it feels like outdoor games there would just be great for the vibes.

5. Dunno, just seems like asking about awards seems to get under everyone's skins these days. Ask someone if they've ever won anything I guess?

What are your expectations for your player's production this season?

I would like to get 72 assists or more, tough goal, but as a center I should have fair amount of pucks going through me, so I am hoping I am able to make the right decisions more often than not and dish the puck around.

130 points, its going to be nasty

The Tim Dillon Show perhaps. The toughts from a scholar and a gentleman will make any drive that much more enjoyable.

1. I expect this to be a big year for OCO! he has just started his journey into the VHL and it will be a very humbling experience without a doubt. He will learn a whole lot and I expect him to progress as a goalie in general.

 

2. I would expect around a 115, Moscow has a strong lineup and I expect quite a few easy wins this season.

 

3. OCO tends to listen to Pod Save America while on his travels.

 

4. I think either Paris or Raleigh would be solid choices. Both have strong fan turnout at current sporting events and would be in good enough spots to draw a crowd outside it's usual area.

 

5. I would take the puck, act like it went in the net, then show them the puck, and laugh at them. Then I'd beat them up. (But I'd beat them up, wholesomely)

1. As much as possible. The 100-point mark is one I'd like to beat.

2. 280 seems like a number that would create some doubt for bettors.

1. I expect him to get better as the season goes on. I think if I can become point-per-game player for the last 20 games of the season then I’ve done my job.

2. 106.5, I expect big things.

3. I’ve been listening to “Talk of the Devils” a lot lately, so probably that.

4. Australia. Grow the game there, so let’s say Brisbane.

5. Spartan is washed as a GM (unless he drafts me in S99)

1. Honestly, this really needs to be a bigger year than it has been and also than it was last season. Roster spots and cap room are limited, and there are only so many seasons to make your mark in this league before you age out!

2. I'd say 100.5, but I would also probably take the over.

3. I've been listening to a lot of Huberman Lab the last couple years, learning about how the ol brain and body work and how to make them do that better!

4. Lets throw it in Tokyo just for funsies, I think they could put on a great event.
