Usual suspects, usual place, usual talking points. Add in a few unusual topics, a bit of sleep deprivation and some good old fashioned PaGroupie intervention and well then you got yourself one hell of a cocktail.

The line is when you utilize something you know about someone personally to attack them with malicious or insulting intent. We all "know" each other in these leagues, and we are part of a generation that has vastly different relationships than those before us. We have people that we have never physically met that we consider friends, that we share things with, that we ask for advice from. When those things start to blend together, which is just a product of the changing dynamics of forums/internet, then you no longer separate them. If somebody says something with the intent to offend you, specifically personally, they are opening the door to their own punishment. Online, you can't punch them in the face. So I agree with Chris in the sense that, if a line is crossed it should be punished.

I also agree that the Thunderdome can be a shitty excuse to act like a raging lunatic. There is no place I can go in the real world and spout nonsense about people without repercussions. I can freely say those things, but they can freely beat my ass as well.

Favorite Scotch's other than the blue, Advantage? Have a couple of good ones at my place as well, although I would like to expand my knowledge a bit further :)

I'm the Scotch drinker not Advantage. You could be confusing our voices potentially. :P

No, I was just saying Advantage when I meant Devise... I still mix up your names sometimes, no idea why, it's certainly not that hard to distinguish your voices :D

Ahh alright. Well other than Blue, I enjoy the JW Swing brand as well. A bit cheaper on the wallet. A scotch called Black Bottle I tried and really enjoyed as well. Bowmore 11 year old single malt is another good brand I've tried.

If we are being honest when I'm poor (like now) I tend to drink more wine/beer and if I shell out for scotch It's generally the best cheapest stuff I can get. Which would be like JW Black or Swing. But even those can sometimes run a bit pricey. But every time I go to a scotch bar or good steak joint I do try to continue to evolve my pallet. I have a friend who's kind of an expert on quality brands and he kind of showed me the door, as I mentioned in the cast. What do you have laying around the house Romanes?

Right now I have a bottle of Laphroaig, a Talisker and a Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban at home. Also bought a friend a bottle of Glenlivet for his birthday which we frequently enjoy together and luckily I have some buddies who are into this stuff as well, so there often is something new to try as well. You are definitely right on the money aspect though, those things sure are expensive... I don't think I have bought a bottle so far this year, haven't drank that much recently and since I usually switch between them those three bottles usually last quite a while.

I've heard really good things about Glenlivet and Glenmorangie. I have yet to try either though. I've had Laprohaig before and enjoyed it. Laprohaig has a very distinct flavor over some other types types I found. Strong and very smokey. I enjoyed it for sure and could certainly drink it but not super high on my list.

It is still a quality brand though. That is the thing I've explained to people who don't get how you drink this stuff without mix. The cheap shit you buy regardless the type of whiskey are what you mix with. Once you've tried some of the more expensive stuff, even stronger stuff like Laprohaig for example it still is light years smoother and better to drink on it's own than the crap brands.

Yeah Laphroaig certainly is a very unique brand of scotch, I think its quality is undisputed but I know a bunch of people who are very knowledgable about whisky but just don't like the distinct flavor you described. It can be almost medicinal and some see elements of algae in the flavor, so even though I like this whisky very much, I can't blame those who don't enjoy it. But it was the first really good whisky that I tried, so it will always be a somewhat special one for me.

I highly recommend you try the Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban by the way, I don't know how available it is if you don't want to buy the whole bottle (you can get a normal Glenmorangie in most places who know their Whisky, but while I can buy a Quinta Ruban in the super market here, somehow not many bars have it), but is is a really different kind of whisky since it spend the last few months (or years, I'm not sure) of its aging process in port casks. It makes it so much smoother and almost sweet, without tasting cheap or eliminating the characteristic edges that whisky has.

It's really tough to explain the whole whisky world to people who haven't tried at least a couple of them yet and it's easy to end up sounding pushy or snobby. As soon as you have learned some stuff about whisky you can only facepalm if you look at how most other people drink or if you look back at your own drinking behavior in the past. I still enjoy a whisky coke when I'm out at the bar though, I think it's a very quality mix drink if you don't use the very cheapest of whiskys and I certainly prefer it over a wodka orange or other stuff like that - but just like you, when I'm out I'm mostly drinking beer and wine anyway.

PS: I wasn't the one praising Jericho for his pew-pew skills by the way, but now that I think about it they are indeed very solid. The whole pew-pew thing is probably a bit overused by now but I still can't help but chuckle every time Jericho does it :D

Thank you Chris.

Ultimately I don't wish what happened to me upon my worst enemy. I don't even consider Zimmers an enemy, he is just an unintelligent, mis-guided, mid-informed individual with a tough guy stance on a message board. I'm in no position to judge his personal life (whatever that may consist of in reality), nor is he of mine. If he feels the internet is somewhere he can slash down a grown man without any repercussions, then he is obviously sadly mistaken. I have a thicker skin than to end myself or simply hang my head over someone so small taking shots at me. You know what? I know you, Boom or anyone else on here does too. The fact we or you guys in general are talking about this is a direct reflection on the course of action the blue team has taken. If we decide to show the same respect for hard working people that we do for people such as the man in question, we've failed the league, ourselves and to an extent the recruits we go after.

I for one was thinking about leaving this league, and most likely still will. However this sort of thing has not left me with thoughts of leaving because of insults, but leaving over how things are handled. You think things he's said are bad? Come walk a day in my shoes.

Thank you Chris.

It is up to us as quality members to also try to encourage the appropriate results and consequences are dolled out when we feel something isn't being handled appropriately. I hope you really don't leave sir, I think your an amazing part of this community and losing you would be a big loss imo. Either way, I do agree with you regarding treating those who act very different and in a lot of ways hazardous towards the hard working members who keep this community flowing.

Context: 3/3 - I don't really think the VHLM sim thing is too big of a deal with the extra games that Sterling put together. As your farm team's GM I had my lines reset once or twice this season after changes I made. I don't know if that was just something weird with the sim or something that happened with you changing your lines and being behind the VHLM, but I just wanted to throw that out there. Yeah, Riga's LR became a little more interesting with Robbie. I agree with Jericho (and now Chris) that we're too nice with Robbie. I don't think it's fair to throw this Meg into that troll category anymore. I wasn't around when she was at her best/worst, but I've never seen her make a big fuss on this board while I've been here. Woo Riga. Yeah Devise, I kind of know what you mean in regards to switching your "player type" during your career. I went through a stretch this season where I had a ton more goals than I thought I would. Yeah I know you hounded me but I was really busy this week. In Canada, how is university different than college? Machete and no pots? WTF? As someone who has to listen to both podcast the Pajodcast is WAY better than the other podcast.

Professionalism: 2/2 - Yup. I actually thought this was a pretty good Pajodcast.

Editing: 1/1 - Very fitting opening.

Overall: 6/6
