Im not sure why I got so heavily criticized for this trade. I did sign him for next season already . him being innactive isn't the worst thing. I know what his cap hit will be and I can use him for multiple seasons if I choose to. This trade had almost more to do with salary cap than anything else. Vancouver took on 100% of Walker salary which allowed me to afford Proto. I think for Calgary in our current situation this trade was fair.
