I think I already have a dream team right now, the USA WJC team this season is fantastic, not only are all the players incredibly talented, but they're also very good people and it's an honor to be the GM of such a fine team in such a fine league. But anyways you guys are here to be told about a fictional team that doesn't exist right nor, or ever. Players who are so good that they would make the rest of the league look like amateurs in comparison. But I don't want to make a fictional team, because my dream team actually exists in the VHLM, and it's a team I'm incredibly grateful to be playing with. The Las Vegas Ace's , a team with such increible minor league talent that the only reason they arent in the first place in the league at the moment is because Sassky got incredibly lucky, and Halifax cheated (joking). Picking three forwards from the Aces I'd have to go with Gary Rush @G_Rush Chris Reynolds @Crstats23 and Nicholas Sunderbruch @NickSunderbruch three players who all produce. Nicholas would most likely be on the first line already if Chris wasnt just such an incredibly talented forward. Gary Rush is already just a given as to why he's here, Gary is in the top ten in nearly everything importan across the league while playing with an already stacked team. It's easier to perform well when you're a good player on a bad team, as you'll gain most the goals, but it's much more impressive that Gary is so high on all these stat boards and already on a team that's a legitimate cup contender. The Ace's have incredible offensive talent that's rivaled only by their own defense. So to start the defense off on this list I'd like to mention that Kasper Kankkunen @ZP16 is such an incredibly important part to this teams success, if not for him on the blue line then I don't think that Vegas would be where they are right now. The man is an absolute legend on the penalty kill with two shorthanded goals this season and three game winning goals. Kasper is such a talented player that it's easy to see why the guys in the locker room love him so much. Another defensemen that really deserves some credit on the blue line this year is absolutely Matt Thunder @Matt thunder. The man is such a stud on and off the ice, he has six power play goals, with a plus/minus of thirty five. Matt kicks a lot of ass on the ice, but off the ice he's a joy to talk to, he always pushes his teammates to not just be good players, but good people. And it's easy to see why he's loved everywhere he goes, he's gonna be a huge player in Riga. Goalies might be a weaker point to such an offensive team right? Wrong, Drew Minnott @DreMin15 is an absolute unit between the pipes. This man doesn't like letting the puck in the net, in fact the only reason his save percentage is only .88 is because the pure offense that teams like Halifax is able to put up against him, don't let the stats fool you, this kid has an incredible desperation save and he makes it look so incredibly easing. You should see the way he's comfortable dropping his stick to make incredible saves on high quality shots. Drew is the starter for the Ace's but he's not the only stud between the pipes this season. Trent Gibson @Caboose30 is making headlines for being a top goalie prospect. This netminder has three wins and one loss this season. He's not playing a whole lot yet, but once he starts getting his starts he's going to be absolutely incredible. Hey look, I managed to turn yet another article into a Vegas wet dream. The Ace's are always going to be my favorite minor league team, even if I don't get to play for them when I eventually recreate. This team means a lot to me, and it might not be the "Best of all time" kind of dream team, it's MY dream team.@Spartan has done an amazing job putting this team together, and I couldn't be more proud to call myself an Ace. This team has so much potential, and if you kept these players together for a while to develop into their entire potential, then you'd probably have one of the greatest teams to ever exist. It's not secret I love the Ace's, but I still like to tell everyone that I do. @JigglyGumballs has also made this team incredible with all his help in this seasons draft, but he also is phenomenal at keeping players engaged, and I think he's gonna do amazing things in his career. diacope 1,696 Posted October 9, 2020 Share Posted October 9, 2020 Wasn't really trying to build an all-around defender but I'm happy the way things have turned out so far. Respect the mention, glad I was drafted into a active and informative dressing room with guys who like to talk about anything to do with the league. I like the idea, anything different is a treat to read.. It was about our team though but who cares Well written and relevent, like the extra effort put in with research when shouting out your dream team and I really like your intros and outros too. Only thing I would say needs work is formatting but if you use a phone like me I understand the frustration lol Just makes everything look better and more readable specially with the extra long detailed paragraphs.
