Peace 1,538 Posted November 17, 2020 Share Posted November 17, 2020 (edited) For the first time in four seasons Toronto has a new leadership group!JAXX HEXTALL (CAPTAIN) @ROOKIE745 Ever since Hextall joined Toronto in a trade that sent tons of future assets to Davos... he's gone above and beyond for Toronto and has endured some difficult seasons as a goaltender for the Toronto Legion. Rookie is an excellent locker room presence and has held a half/half alternate captain responsibility alongside former teammate Erik Killinger, although the history between the two would seem like they were frequently at each others throats. This is not the case (although it did happen) as both Hextall and Killinger were reasonable to each other both at work and away. Hextall can't officially wear the C within the sim, but the invisible stitching on his chest will be felt on and off the ice. JOHN MERRICK (ALTERNATE)@SteveJohn Merrick joined the Toronto Legion in S74 after being drafted by the club in the S73 VHL Entry Draft, and enjoyed a remarkable rookie season that saw him nominated as the leagues top rookie of the season. He has been an awesome individual to communicate with, periodically popping into the locker room to give his thoughts and talk amongst his teammates. He has a great locker room presence and is always looking to improve upon his latest and usually (IMHO) stellar performances. His desire to be better is inspiring, and he's always looking for more from his player in order to secure wins for Toronto. LEO STRAUSS (ALTERNATE)@gregregAlthough the newest Toronto Legion in terms of when he was acquired by the hockey club... Strauss has been one of the more vocal members in the locker room and has been offering assistance whenever possible. He's been supportive, encouraging and present; Strauss was added to the Legion in an off season trade that sent a Toronto second round pick to Seattle, and in that short time frame, I think he's earned the right to wear the A on his jersey and give it to him happily. We're expecting great things from Strauss, and he knows he's become a key piece in what everyone hopes is a quick retool. WE. ARE. LEGION.
