S76 Malmo Nighthawks Jersey retirement

Honoring Condor Adrienne

When I became the GM of Malmo Nighthawks at the start of S71, I was truly accepted not only by the previous GM but players on the team, from Fonzi, Gustav, Phil and Kendrick to, of course, the person of the day - OrbitingDeath (Green) or as he was known for our team as Condor Adrienne. He instantly became my closest ally and a part of my decision making squad. He helped me with tough decisions and situations when I just needed someone to say "Yeah, go for it!", he has the person that kept our team competitive these last 3 seasons and helped us win the continental cup - he was our captain, he was everyone's friend and now with his retirement it is my honor to say that we are proud to set his legacy in stone. 

His role with our franchise is undeniable. His career with our franchise has had ups and down, there is no denying that there were times that you could think of Condor as an average player. His career surely didn't start the way OrbitingDeath would have wanted. After being drafted by Malmo in S68 as the 1st Overall, there was a lot of pressure put on his shoulders as everyone expected him to shine. Throughout his first 4 seasons, he struggled. Point wise and defensively he was able to play good, but not good enough to be considered a Top player in his position. S71 Offseason and S72 was the time when Malmo retooled, drafted new players, traded for others and gained a group that have stayed together since then all of those players under their Captain's guidance. Since then, Condor has been a dominant defenseman and has been able to feel the youth that Hylands, Sheilds, Kamenov, Jungkok and others have brought to the team. His awards are the true sentiment of what he represented as a player for our franchise - 3x Valiq Trophy winner, 3x Labatte Trophy winner, 3x Wylde Trophy winner, S72  Slobodzian Trophy, S72 Szatkowski Trophy, S75 Beketov Trophy, Victory cup in S68, Founder's Cup in S66 and the Continental cup of S75. 

His career will be remembered and his presence will be dearly missed. We are proud of his achievements and his brilliant career! 

For that reason Malmo Nighthawks are here to announce that we will retire Condor Adrienne's Number 1 and his jersey as a token of appreciation for the loyalty and passion we saw in him every day no matter if the sims were favourable or not. We believed in him as much as he believed in us!
