S76 40+ win goalie predictions

We are back again with the annual prediction article on which goalies might hit the elusive 40 win mark this season. Should be an interesting season.

 

Season 75 recap:

 

Looking back at our last predictions we see that our team went 1 for 3. Jimmy Spyro @DarkSpyro was the only goalie last season to his the 40+ win mark with his outstanding 41 wins.

 

Our other predictions didn’t fare to well but Zamboni Driver did get close with a 36 win effort. Bernard struggled a little bit and only managed to hit 33 wins.

 

Now lets get to our 3 S76 predictions and see who I believe is in the running for a 40+ win season.

 

Zamboni Driver:  @Tape-to-Tape

 

We start of our predictions with a goalie that came really close last season. This season though he has trained extra hard in the off-season and is already out to a blistering start. Driver is currently 9-2 with a solid Helsinki team in front of him. If Helsinki keeps on playing well and Driver stays focused, he will hit 40+ wins for the first time this season. Out of all the goalies this season, he has the best chance to reach this mark. Zamboni has the drive and determination and we will be following him closely to see how he progresses during the season.

Win Prediction: 44 wins

 

Jacob Tonn: @MexicanCow123

First time on my annual list and for good reason. Jacob has been steadily improving year after year and with being traded to Moscow this season, it will be his year to breakout. He is off to a decent start going 7-4 to start the season but I believe as the season goes on he will become more comfortable with his new team and will start to shine. I can see Jacob getting close to the mark and it will either be a 39 win or 40 win season. I am leaning for the 40 and putting Jacob on the list for this season.

 

Win Prediction: 40 wins

 

Stone Wolski: @DollarAndADream

 

The veteran out o this group, Stone Wolski, has a lot of experience and while he hasn’t hit 40 wins yet in his career he did come close last season with a 36 win effort. This season he is off to a slower start going 6-3-2 but I believe Stone will be a dark horse and reach 40 wins if he continues to stay focused. His going to need some help from his team though so DC will need to stay consistent if they want to see Stone reach the 40 win mark for the first time. This could be his last chance to hit the mark before depreciation fully takes its toll in his next 2 seasons.

 

Win Prediction: 40 wins

 

All in all these are just my predictions for the 40 win mark. We may end up seeing some underdogs rise up through the ranks and manage to hit 40 marks. There are a lot of decent candidates but I can only pick my top 3. This will be an interesting race for the 40 win mark and one I will be watching as the season goes along.
