Bio/Rookie Profile Changes

Hello all.

I am here to announce some changes regarding the rubrics for both biographies and rookie profiles. As it stands right now, the biography rubric in particular is a sort of awkward mix of hockey and 'life story' for your player. Essentially it asks for an account of your players life - which is a biography by definition - and then asks for three pros and three cons to be stuck in at the end. We believe these pros and cons are out of place in the biography and fit better in a rookie profile, where they are used 9 times out of 10 anyways.

The rookie profile is then essentially a regurgitated version of those pros and cons. After some discussion amongst the grading team as well as with the blue team (aka Victor), we have come up with some changes to make the separation between the biography and rookie profile more clear; where the biography is more of a biography, and the rookie profile focuses solely on your players hockey career.

Biography:

Overview: /5 - Your biography is an account of your players life. It should include your players childhood, general upbringing, high school/college (if applicable) overviews, and how he got to where he is today.

Grammar: /3 - Biographies are the single most valuable point-task available to you and should be written with care.

Presentation: /1 - A title, pictures, and perhaps some bolding and/or headings should be included.

Over 1000 Words? /1

Overall: /10

Rookie Profile:

Overview: /2 - Basic information such as your players age, height, weight, hometown, etc. should be included. Rookie Profiles should be, at minimum, 500 words in total.

Pros & Cons: /3 - Should include at least 3 solid pros (strengths) and 3 solid cons (weaknesses). The pros and cons section is the core of the rookie profile and should be around 350-400 words at minimum.

Grammar: /2 - Grammar is worth 2.

Presentation: /1 - A title, a picture, and perhaps some bolding and/or headings should be included.

Overall: /8

These changes will come into effect as of the beginning of Season 41. So if you have either of these half-written sitting on the back burner, you will need to get it submitted by then or edit it to fit with the new rubrics.
