1. With some new talent coming in, do you think we can be better than last season and why (or why not)? I mean, there's two max goalies on the team. If nothing else, that gives the team a chance to win any game. Add in what looks like some decent offensive fire power, and who knows what can happen. 2. What are your thoughts of trading Grimes and Dixon before they even played a game? I'm kind of confused why lol. Did they want out? Steele looks like he'll be around for a while, vs. 1 and done with the Walking Dead boys, but not sure I love that move. 3. Please comment on the two starting goalies situation. Play 4 skaters, 2 goalies. Simple. 4. What do you expect from your player this season? I don't know. Based on last season, this seems like a goalie's league, so I'd expect some decent numbers on paper. Where they fall in league rank...who knows? 5. What is your favourite Hockey snack and why this one? Depends where you are. At a game, popcorn, hot dogs, nachos and poutine are classic rink food. At a bar/at home, wings are goated. 6. What team (if any) do you support in the NHL and why is it the Pittsburgh Penguins? The Leafs, because my father gave me no chance at liking other teams ( )

1). How do the new threads look on @McWolf? What the fuck, McWolf's an American? I remember the last time he ended up on New York (or at least the first time lol), so I think they probably look great on him, if not a little tattered by this point? 2). What was the most surprising off-season move so far? Me being traded in the E, but I've already griped about it hahah 3). Have we shown @InstantRockstar enough love for his amazing goalie? Too much love, he's gotta make way for the young blood for fuck's sake! 4). Did you watch the draft stream? What would you change about it? I did not. Everything and nothing, because I've never once actually watched a draft stream. 5). Have you ever eaten octopus before? Yes, it's fucking delicious. Unless you mean in the way that the Deep would? In which case...also yes 6). What would your theme song be when skating onto the ice? Something about money, or burning down rainforests, or union busting? Basically some kind of villain theme song.

So, I admit I don't check the forums very much anymore, mostly just to check game threads and post/get links to player cards I've posted and do Press Conferences, and I don't talk much in discord, either. But I do get my weekly TPE in, and am going to be a max TPA goalie in the E this season, so you can imagine my surprise when I logged into the forums yesterday and saw that little red notification telling me I've been traded to Istanbul. Now, I've got nothing against Istanbul, it looks like there's a solid team built there, but it's a little frustrating being traded to a team that's got another goalie who will be maxed out this season, and is an active member who I honestly wouldn't want to take starts away from, but that's not really my gripe here. The GM of Stockholm not once reached out to let me know there was a possibility of being traded, or even that I was traded. Far be it for me to dictate how to run a team, but you'd think it might be nice to at least say "hey, thanks for being part of the team, xyz reasons have come up, and you're being traded".

1). Moscow made it to the cup finals - are you surprised how they handled Warsaw? I will have to go with no, I literally paid 0 attention to the league this season. I don't even know how Bezos did tbh lol 2). Who is your favorite Sesame Street character? Used to be cookie monster, because, who tf doesn't love cookies? But as I get older, I relate a lot more to Oscar the grouch. 3). Have you owned skates before? What brand? Many pairs. When I was a kid, I think I wore Eastons and I had a pair of Missions at one point, but I've had Grafs for the last 20+ years now (fuck me, I just realized my last pair of skates are like 15 years old now and Graf is no longer in existence) 4). What song are you not afraid to sing in the car at 11/10 effort? I mean, I'm not afraid to sing any song at 11/10 effort, but if I'm choosing one unabashed single to belt? Doing any actual work. My time grinding in this league is past, so any time I need to put actual work in to improve my player is annoying lol. 3). What country is @Quik in today? (hint: not canada) Uhh...when did you ask this question? I'll just say 4 weeks is a long time for a trip, and you really start to miss home by the end of it. 4). As of 10/10/22, four teams in the NA are separated by 6 points, what will it take to get into the playoffs? Did you guys make it? I'd say it probably took a miracle if so, and would require time travel if not. 5). What is one attribute you will never utilize or add TPE to? Pretty sure skating is useless for goalies, so probably that? As a skater, the only time I've ever updated fighting was as a meme, so definitely that one. 6). Should the VHL bring back the forum chat? Yes, and find a way to revive MSN Messenger while you're at it!

TBH, I actually don't care about VHFL all that much, it could be improved, but it's 5TPE max at the end of the day. Meh. 2). Considering the tandem, I’d expect to play between 30-35 games this season? 20 wins would be a solid number I think. 2. With the 3rd and 4th overall picks in the draft that just passed, we picked up two defense studs in Tater Tottingham and Jani Karppinen! How do you think these two additions will effect our backend? 1). So a lot has happened in the last week. What was one thing you did outside in this great summer weather? I was outside enough when traveling, I've been a couch potato when not at work the past week or so lol. 2). How could the league pass on Daniel Weaver @ThePerfectNut and let us scoop him up at 4th overall? Guess they just are all blue and if they nut they would die? 3). Are you excited about the new general manager the team acquired in @thadthrasher? Sure. He's a good dude, but he better not bring any of that propane to team cookouts #TeamCharcoal 4). What free agent signing (unrelated to New York) surprised you? Freddie Freeman actually leaving the Braves was pretty surprising, felt like AA fumbled the bag on that one, but I think they're actually doing alright with their pivot. 5). Who do you think has the inside track at first overall in Season 86 draft? Kinda hard to vote against Green. Dude is basically the Simon whisperer at this point, if he doesn't go 1OA, that GM is probably fired before 2OA is selected. 6). Have you told @scoop how much you like Taylor Mourning? Hopefully they can bring some of that S82 magic and carry New York to new heights!

This was definitely a bit jarring. I feel like TV in general has kinda moved off the extremely gorey violence (or at least, what I've been consuming) and even the brothel scenes. It's weird to say, because it was so prevalent in GOT, but I definitely forgot what it was like watching a show set in Westeros lol. Also the fact that Corlys is part of the small council, seems like going into the future had Westeros fall further into the past. Obviously, it makes sense why these differences are here, but still a bit odd to think about when this is nearly two centuries before GOT. I'm definitely intrigued by the Rhaenyra/Alicent relationship. Tons of room for conflict, and I think they're clearly setting up for Alicent to birth a son either just before, or shortly after Viserys' death (btw, I felt weird seeing him on screen in this role and finally realized why, if you watch Peaky Blinders, he's in S3 and plays a VERY different character lol), and you have to think she's going to want her son on the throne. Also, grown up Alicent being played by Olivia Cooke is Definitely enjoying the fuck outta it so far and excited to see where it goes
