We ended FIRST in the conference, and secured the FIRST seed on our side of the playoff bracket. Who do you attribute this success to? I think it starts with Jeff, bringing in this whole group of members, but it also includes everyone in the team buying in and being a part of the group. Everyone on this team is so great to be around, and the work they put into their players reflects that. How important is home-ice advantage when it comes to the playoffs? To be honest, I don’t think it matters all that much. I’ve been involved in series where the lower seed wins, on both sides of the coin. In the end tomhe better team at that time wins, and it’s all that matters. I think our team has earned the top seed by being the top team, now we’ve just gotta keep playing like it. It's just been reported that Christian Mingle and Kyl Oferson have both signed contract extensions! Was this the right move for Chicago? I think we were one of the top Center duos in the league, it can’t be a bad thing to keep them around. There’s nothing to suggest they won’t be a dynamic duo for the foreseeable future. On that note, what does your DREAM dinner look like? They may or may not be buying. Whatever the team wants, I’m more than happy to oblige. Personally I’d want a steak place with some good drinks. Rumors have circulated about a new set of uniforms in Chicago. If you've seen them, what are your thoughts? What do you generally appreciate in a hockey sweater? I think they’re really clean. I think that’s what I appreciate the most in my favourite jerseys, that they have the traditional styles with the straight lines, symmetry and some cool colours without going overboard with clutter. Are you an expert at counting? Do those skills translate to success on the ice? It definitely hasn’t hurt our group. As a team we’re expert counters and we’ve made these incredible strides on the ice, while reaching the places we have, both as a team and as individuals. Everyone had an incredible season and it culminated in one of my favourite and most memorable seasons ever.

So, this is obviously a lot of text. Basically, the easiest way to know that rigging isn't happening, especially on a player level, is the insane amount of hoops one would have to go through to ensure it. Without uploading the files, there is no way to actually see player stats, as far as I'm aware. So for Bek, or anyone, for that matter, to rig it in such a way to ensure their player is thriving, they'd need to create multiple saves, upload, and then start over however many times to ensure they got a result they want. Team wins would be one thing, but individual success would require so much effort that there's no way it would go unnoticed, much less be worth the time and effort to succeed in a fictional hockey league. We are all here to have fun and enjoy the league/community. Those of us in staff positions are volunteers who are giving our time to ensure the league continues to function in a way that is enjoyable for everyone here. There is literally no benefit to us to "rig" this league when all that would end up in is a dead league that nobody wants to be a part of, it's happened to many leagues before.

Well, effective upon the conclusion of the Continental Cup Finals, there will be some changes to the prices of most items in the Player Store, which will be as follows: First Generation Doubles: $1.5M ---> $1M Point Task Upgrade: $3M ---> $1M VHL.com Upgrade: $3M ---> $1M Point Task Doubles Week: $4M ---> $2M Full Doubles Week: $7.5M ---> $4M Uncapped TPE Packages (5 / 10 / 20 TPE): $3M / $6M / $10M ---> $2M / $3.5M / $6M Awards Prediction Multiplier (x2 / x3): $2.5M / $5M ---> $1.5M / $3M As well, there will be adjustments increasing the cost of TPA Reroll and position switch, which will come into effect immediately, as well as the introduction of a true First-Gen re-roll that is a little more forgiving to members who have never had a VHL player before. TPA Reroll: $6M ---> $7M Position Switch: $3M ---> $7M First Gen TPA Reroll: $3M* For the First Gen Reroll, only members who have never had a VHL player before are eligible, and only while still on their Rookie Level Contract. As you may, or may not know, @FrostBeard has tendered his resignation from the post of Malmo General Manager. As we opened up the application process, there were a great number of responses from people interested in taking over the role, with a significant number of extremely qualified individuals interviewing for the job. After going through the responses, it became clear that it would be a difficult decision, as there are several members who we feel would make more than adequate GMs. Ultimately, one member stood out as the best candidate for the role, so, without further adieu: The new GM will be taking over Malmo upon the completion of their season.
