Alexander Pepper @Sonnet For the 2nd straight season, Pepper's teammates have selected him an alternate for the team. While he will not wear an A on his jersey, Pepper is a leader on, and off, the ice, and is a valued member of the Titans! Julian Borwinn @Jubo07 Tied with Pepper and Sidney Crosby as having the 2nd longest tenure on the team, JuBo has put in immense effort to become one of the league's premier wingers, and his teammates can see that that effort pays off! Sidney Crosby @SidTheKid87 The team's longest tenured defender, Crosby provides a stable presence on the ice, and in the locker room. Always looking to improve, and putting the team ahead of himself, he is a natural selection to represent the double-blue! Vesto Slipher @Hybrid1486 As the 4th Alternate, Slipher will wear the 3rd A in game, and provide the same type of leadership he has since coming over last season. The work he puts in, day in, day out, is an example for his younger teammates to follow!

I'll agree with TLO, he's probably at around $9-9.5M on a 5-year deal. Same as Matthews, any longer, and you start to get too high an AAV to fit everyone. If he digs in on making more than that, which is pretty crazy given what UFA comps are going for, then you move him and use the assets to fill in for him, as well as the blue line.

It's 2 TPE. Allowing welfare members to cap means that, for less work, they can get the same TPE as someone who submitted a PT. If it's someone who regularly submits a PT, then that one week won't be the difference in anything. If it's over the long-term, then, while maybe they don't have time to submit PTs, they're still putting less work into the league than someone who is submitting PTs or has a job.

Yeah, I'm not sure what the big to-do is. There are no secondary language areas on the site. As with most sim leagues, and even general forums, English is the language used in the VHL. @BladeMaiden, I understand you are fighting for your player/want things in black and white, but this isn't a legal proceeding, so doesn't apply here, even though @Beketov has allowed it this time (which does benefit the 'plaintiff' in this situation). For nearly 12 years, nobody has questioned that articles need to be in English. @Patpou22 accepted this fact when Bek replied. This site is not, and never will be, run as a legal entity, where every little detail is written down. Just as you are here on your free time, so is everybody else, so while official rulings are nice to have, there won't be one for every situation, because, well, I don't know that anyone here is a lawyer or fortune teller, and as much as we like to have our bases covered, some things are understood, and others are dealt with when they come up. If there's something that you believe is a gray area, the course of action is not to tell someone 'go ahead, we'll fight it if we don't like the answer,' but rather to ask somebody with decision making power (with point tasks, the first contact would be @DollarAndADream, and if he can't answer, he'll come to Bek or myself for clarity). As much as we want to make things easy for each individual member, it's not the job of an updater to translate an article to see if it meets the necessary criteria. They already have a big enough job, when it comes to approving updates in a timely fashion, that figuring out if an article is VHL related, meets the necessary word minimum, and isn't complete jiberish (not saying this article is, I truly have not read it because that's beside the point), is added work they don't need. If a member needs to write in their native language first, and then translate it themselves, that is fine, as long as the general gist of it makes sense, and is VHL related/meets the word count, the league has never held that against anyone.

@Members This is just a minor announcement, with all the new members coming in recently, and to remind older members, that there is a 6 TPE cap on TPE earned outside of Point Tasks/Welfare. That means that, technically, the Cap on TPE earned depends on the form of Point Task you submit. 12 TPE = Graphic / Media Spot / Full Podcast / Affiliate PT / Free Week / Anyone with a league job 11 TPE = Pension Claim 10 TPE = Regular Welfare Also, going forward, if you do claim any form of Pension/Welfare, as well as when claiming Practice Facility, please link to your post in the corresponding thread for that week. Posting in the thread is an @Updaters way to verify that you logged into the forums, and are eligible to claim TPE for that week. Any claims linking only to the thread (but not to your post), or directly to an affiliated league's PT, will no longer be accepted, as it is not the Updater's job to look through an entire thread for your post to verify.
