(Ryan Price to media on being named General Manager of Bern Royals) Ryan Price was named General Manager in the VHLM of the Bern Royals. He is now described as Goalie/GM as Player/GM is overused. Ryan Price was ecstatic when he learned he'd be the new General Manager in Bern. He gave this statement the next night he was appointed: "I'd like to thank the VHLM executives to have offered me such a prestigious job and i'll try my best everyday! I was the goalie in Bern for two seasons claimed off waivers then put into the dispersal draft and came back to the Bern Royals, that barely ever happens. He attended the draft where we draft the following; Olivia Diamond 5th Overall Vincent Virtanen 7th Overall Alessandro Hedfors 15th overall Ryan Price weighs in on his decisions; "Olivia Diamond was on our top 2 list for the 5th pick. I was so happy when we got in touch with her telling her she would be with the Royals for the inaugural Season 46. Vincent Virtanen was also on our list as he was a good asset on the wing for us. Alessandro Hedfors is underrated and would be on the second defense pairing but you could see him blossom soon." He seems very impressed with his pick ups as Olivia Diamond is a possibility for the captaincy. Ryan Price said she is likely to get the team to vote someone for captain and two for assistant captains. Once we get these guys rolling it should be fun. It's sad we lost Parachekin and Hamilton but we can keep going. We have the assets and players to become a championship winning team. Waivers will play part in this but other than that we'll be fine. (Parachekin and Hamilton in playoffs) But as the season rolls around and more players are welcomed into waivers by the Victory Hockey League Evaluation the more teams will see their teams turn. 1) What will you do to promote activity on your team?: I will try and acquire active and useful players and I myself will be active to support the activity. I will put time and effort in to the activity which is key. 2) Are you active in any other sim leagues?: I'm in SHL and a small relaxed sim league called GOMHL 3) Will you have enough time to be a VHLM GM?: Yes I will, I have lots of time on my hands to contribute. Okay boys and girls, ladies and gentlemen and other life beings it's time for story time with Ryan Price. So let me think of a story....Let's see.......I got it, perfect. There was a boy born in Salt Lake City, Ontario in 1998. His dad was a hockey fanatic and his mother, well she didn't really like the sport but she loved her son and husband so she had to live with it. His dad was a Montreal fan and always gave the wardrobe to his son while he was still young, The boy as he grew older watched and learned the sport far more then a kid his age would at the age of 6, He was very advanced for his age as a hockey player. Soon this kid would be big! The boy is sitting in his living room watching the hockey game at 8 years old, it was Chicago vs Boston. The boy asked his dad; "Who's that"? after the Bruins had scored. The dad replied "Why that's Patrice Bergeron" The boy says back "I like him!" Boy: "Daddy, someday I will be playing like him in the big leagues" Dad: "Just don't give up" Those words stuck with the child to this day. 224 As time went on, the awards rolled in one by one and one after the other then at 10 years old he had the chance to play PeeWee AAA and he took the chance to show his skills, scouts took notice as the kid had pride in his performance and development. He was getting phone calls and "talks" on conditioning and on how to develop into "One of the Greats"! He wasn't at all a loose cannon, he was actually very mature for his age and never hung his skill above peoples heads like a dog trying to jump for that bone in the owners hand. He just took pride. He was a wiz in school and never gave up in hockey or school. He said if it wasn't for Hockey he would probably be in Medical school or preparing for it at least. 365 He got a call one day....It changed his life forever...... It was from Wayne Gretzky..... Gretzky invited him to his new Prospect camp for 14-16 year old's and This Kid only being 13 was a honor even by "The Great One". He met so many talented kids, yet he still stood out....It was more then just a gift..... As it grew more and more near to his draft year, he improved every second of every day. He wouldn't give up, just like his dad had said almost ten years ago. "With the first selection in the OHL Import Draft the London Knights are proud to select from the Toronto Malboros, (Can't say name since there is no name ). The kid was ecstatic to hear he was 1st overall, he wasn't going to give up and he was going to improve to the brink of impossibility. Two seasons went by and his numbers Shattered everything in the record book, you could say this kid owned the OHL/CHL record book. 2 Memorial Cups, 2 Memorial Cup MVPs, that's not even scratching the surface of his achievements. History: So poop was first seen millions of years ago by a caveman. He freaked out that this thing was coming out of his body and he ended up probing himself to death. Today i'll be listing why GreatOneHimself is a great and awesome guy. He knows the alphabet! This kid knew the alphabet at age 12, possibly the youngest kid in history to learn the alphabet. Albert Einstein even approves! He likes his salad dressing on the side! That's right ladies! GreatOneHimself likes salad dressing on the side, maybe even with curly fries. He is a healthy eater and has proven he has a great healthy brain and we told you in the first question! He is sexy! Sexiest man alive, all the girls just melt (literally) over this guy.
