  1. It's super scary to come to a new place, especially where people already know each other, have chemistry built, and are thriving. I'm not expecting outpouring, but I think I'm really going to work at giving the VHL a serious try. My journey to the league hasn't been a smooth one, with starts, stops, legendary moments, Hall of Fame moments, and heartbreak. Naslund is from Romania, playing at a high speed of hockey that hadn't yet been seen by many in his home country. While others were pushing chairs and learning how to stop, Naslund was figuring out the way to go bar down. Naslund's career started in the states when he was just 12. He worked his way from the West coast to the East coast, trying to find a place to play hockey and call his home. By the time he turned 14, he had become the premier upcoming 'world' player. He was unique and someone who everyone was talking about. While Naslund isn't afraid to step up and get gritty, he's your typical elite sniper. Goals, goals, goals. That's all that matters. Winning does too I guess, but come on. Who doesn't love to score? Naslund is also working on his slap shot, since he falls over almost every time he shoots the puck from the point. It's kind of embarrassing. When he was just thirteen he scored 31 goals and recorded 28 assists in 42 games played. 59 points wasn't even close for where he wanted to be and spent the next 3 months in the gym, getting stronger and working on his skills. The very next season he put up 48 goals in the same 42 game span, and tacked on another 38 assists, for 80 points. Naslund found his groove and was luckily enough to be surrounded by teammates that helped feed him the puck. At fifteen, his season was cut short after just 30 games, having already racked up 36 goals and 30 assists. While Naslund took a step back, it allowed him to focus on the mental aspect of his game. The time it took to build up the body was nothing compared to the mind. Naslund watched tape after tape to look at goalie and player tendencies, and worked with his coaches to develop better line combinations as well as extra events to build team chemistry. This upcoming season, Jack Naslund is healed and ready to go. His injuries had healed and he felt that he was ready to commit to a team. the one that caught his eye? The Mexico City Kings. While he may not receive as much playing time as other teams, the opportunity to grow is there. Even though the trade deadline is coming up and things may change in small ways, the big thing that won't change is that Jack Naslund is here to play and succeed. The league has been put on notice. I'm here, I'm ready to compete, ready to win, and ready to make history. Let's make some magic happen. 502 words.
