  1. I hope so too, I like him he's a good pitcher, he just cant stay healthy for the life of him.
  2. Dammit, i was hoping the Jays would sign Santana as thats where sources say he was close to signing. shit now the rotation is looking pretty... pedestrian as within the first month Brandon Morrow will get hurt. I guarantee it
  3. im hopefully going to get 8 TPE with my rookie profile alone so nnn MS coming soon which will be another 6. plus XM and VHLM Practice. 16 TPE week what.
  4. Actually, i dont know what happened. I cant really do anything on this site. When i try to make a new topic, I have no options to do anything, no bolding options no nothing. Not even the paste from word. so i type it up in word then i will paste it here it shows up like that, then i edit it into what it is now i also cnt post images because it says that image extension isn't allowed.
  5. kay well imma edit this to fix all the headings and what not.
  6. Name: Dimothenis Vlasis Birthplace: Athens, Greece Age: 19 Height: 6’2 Jersey Number: 19 Position: Defense VHLM Dimothenis Vlasis declared that he would be joining the VHLM during Season 36. This is just the beginning of his story as he will be one of the top defenseman available come the Season 38 draft. Upon announcing his declaration of playing in the VHLM he was picked up on waivers by the Ottawa Lynx. The season was already almost over and Vlasis played in 10 games. Vlasis scored 1 goal and assisted on 11 for a total of 12 points. Ottawa at the time was pushing hard for the final playoff spot but fell just short. This was a great experience for Dimo because he was thrown right into the heat of the race and didn’t wilt showing that he can handle himself in high pressure games. He was a -4 unfortunately and amassed 10 PIM. On the Brightside he showed a willingness to block shots with 19 in 10 games. After his season Dimothenis was projected to be a first round draft pick in the Season 37 VHLM Dispersal Draft. He fell all the way down to 2nd round and was drafted by the Turku Outlaws, 15th overall. This was a great new beginning to his career as Turku plans on going all the way to the Founders Cup this season, which might be Dimothenis’ only season in the VHLM. Pros Skating ~ Dimothenis is a very fine skater in his own right. He is one of the fastest skaters on Turku as well as in the VHLM at the moment. This a very good thing to have as he can jump up in the rush and if there is a turnover he can make it back just fine. His skating reminds some scouts of Duncan Keith who currently plays for the Chicago Blackhawks. Defense ~ Defense is also a strong suit of his because his defense and skating go hand in hand to make him one of the quickest on the ice. You can’t really teach defense as well as offence so this is a very good thing Dimo has. Some scouts say he has the defense a young Willie Mitchell who currently plays for the Los Angeles Kings. Hockey Sense ~ Dimothenis has very good hockey sense as he will always make the smart play. He rarely turns the puck over in doing so. This of course doesn’t say he will always make the right play but to put into context he will make the smart play 9 out of 10 times. This reminds scouts of Dan Boyle who will skate the puck out when he has too, or chip it off the boards into the neutral zone. Cons Scoring ~ Dimothenis may have all the defense skills in the world but his offensive skills are a bit lacking. He will score the odd goal and pick up the odd assist once in a while but that may be due to the lack of depth a team has. He is on the ice so much he is bound to pick up some points right? Leadership ~ Vlasis is not a leader in the dressing room. He is kind of awkward actually as he is very anti-social. This is not something you want out of your number 1 defenseman; you want him to be able to lead the pack. Maybe as he gets older and more mature he will grow into a leadership role. Discipline ~ Vlasis is not very disciplined for someone who is defensively savvy. He will take a bad penalty at a bad time. Dimo has vowed to work on keeping his emotions in check, even if he believes the referees made a bad call or the goaltender let in the odd bad goal. Outlook Dimothenis Vlasis is a very raw prospect. With a lot of work he can become the number 1 defenseman coaches all love. For this to happen though Dimothenis Vlasis must keep showing up to practice and show he wants to be better. With him being the only Greek product to play in the VHL. I’m sure he will show the entire world that, at least one Greek can play the wonderful game of hockey.
  7. took my girlfriend to Hedley on valentines, was skeptical but overall it was actually pretty awesome. Wasnt disappointed
  8. I like that Dimothenis Vlasis guy, sounds like a pretty good guy
  9. Congrats on the career buddy. sucks you did better than Stamkos after we were in our little rivalry at the beginning of our careers
  10. how or when is optimus prime not one of the coolest names in history.
  11. also the trade that brought in Keith fucking Ballard. good times. trading away Grabner and a 1st for Ballard or Oresikvich or whatever. that first could have been used to draft Kuznetsov.
  12. I didn't even watch that game, Glad i didnt.. I didnt really think torts was that bad of a coach until he benched Luongo for 3 games. Other than that i thought it was a decent job with a team that was falling apart. If/when torts gets fired who will replace him? and a better question who will replace Gillis
  13. well shit. My bad haha, i had no clue sorry
  14. I heard there was talk about him becoming the full time coach and signing an extension
  15. so do any of you guys play at tetrisfriends.com? its a pretty good time killer
  16. i will look into the first two options, otherwise there is nothing i can do about the last option
  17. Want to play a game? So with the VHL season coming to a close and a new crop of prospects in the Season 37 draft coming into the league, I will take some players, talk about their career and show where they got drafted. I will ask if it was fair, too high or too low as to where they were drafted. Just to create some discussion on players and their respective careers. Without knowing who went ahead or who went below I would like to know how you feel about the players draft position. Amstel Tigers: 55. Toronto Legion: 56. Amstel Tigers(From Vasteras IK): Season 1: Pre-Season (HAM) – 7 GP | 4 G | 2 A | 6 P | -1 | 12 PIM | 9 H | 28 SH | 3 SB Adrian McCreath was drafted in the Season 1 Dispersal Draft in the 3rd round, 18th overall by the Hamilton Canucks. Shortly after being drafted he signed a 3 year entry level contract worth 8.25 million or 2.75 per season. In the 7 game pre-season for the Hamilton Canucks they went 3-4-0 with an overtime win. In these 7 games he finished with 4 goals and 2 assists for 6 points. This was good enough for a tie in goals with Alyn McCauley and in points with Anders Eriksson with 4 goals and 6 points respectively. He finished in the mid pack of the team with a -1 rating. His 12 PIM, and 28 shots lead the team in those categories as well as his 9 hits and 3 shots blocked tied for the team lead. He also scored approximately 4.25 percent of his team’s goals in the pre-season. Season 1: Regular Season (HAM) – 44 GP | 16 G | 19 A | 35 P | +5 | 52 PIM | 31 H | 134 SH | 2 SB Regular Season (AMS) – 28 GP | 11 G | 15 A | 26 P | -18 | 22 PIM | 12 H | 133 SH | 6 SB TOTAL (HAM/AMS) – 72 GP | 27 G | 34 A | 61 P | -13 | 74 PIM | 43 H | 267 SH | 8 SB The season started out looking good for McCreath as he put up pretty solid numbers on a weak Hamilton Canucks team. In his 44 games played for Hamilton his 16 goals would be 3rd on the team scoring compared to those who played the whole season there if that sheds a light on the lack of team scoring. He was also a surprising +5 in his 44 games played on a team that ended up finishing 32 points out of the playoff race. With Hamilton clearly out of the playoff race, GM Brett Noiles decided to trade his number 1 center to the Amstel Tigers with Hamilton’s S2 2nd round draft pick for Amstel’s S2 2nd round draft pick and Helsinki’s S2 2nd round draft pick which was acquired in an earlier trade involving Juan de le Martinez for Helsinki’s supplemental draft pick (6th overall) and S2 Helsinki Frostbite 2nd round draft pick. In the 28 games played in Amstel he put up a pretty good 11 goals and 15 assists for 26 points in 26 games. His defensive game fell off the map though finishing a terrible -18. What is more interesting is that his shots in both Hamilton and Amstel are nearly the same as he finished with 134 in Hamilton and 133 in Amstel despite playing in 16 less games. The overall numbers are pretty good with a stat line of 27 goals, 34 assists and 61 points. The total of 267 shots and a shooting percentage of 10% show that maybe he is more of an assist man than a goal scorer. The face-offs need much improvement as he finished below 50%, finishing with 46% face-offs won. Amstel did however finish 2nd in the European conference with 71 points which was 20 ahead of 3rd but 30 behind 1st. Season 1: Playoffs (AMS) – 5 GP | 2 G | 2 A | 4 P | -4 | 0 PIM | 1 H | 22 SH | 1 SB With the Amstel Tigers finishing 30 points behind the Vasteras IK, not many pundits predicted a series win. This held true with Vasteras steamrolling Amstel in a 5 game series win. Adrian McCreath put up a respectable 4 points in 5 games which was good enough for 3rd in team scoring. His 2 goals also were good enough for 2nd in team scoring. The -4 however, was among the worst on the team. Overall this was a pretty bad defensive showing for the Amstel Tigers as a whole as they didn’t have enough star power to compete with Vasteras. Career: Career – Pre Season (HAM) – 7 GP | 4 G | 2 A | 6 P | -1 | 12 PIM | 9 H | 28 SH | 3 SB Career - Regular Season - TOTAL (HAM/AMS) – 72 GP | 27 G | 34 A | 61 P | -13 | 74 PIM | 43 H | 267 SH | 8 SB Career - Playoffs (AMS) – 5 GP | 2 G | 2 A | 4 P | -4 | 0 PIM | 1 H | 22 SH | 1 SB Career - Total – 84 GP | 33 G | 38 A | 71 P | -18 | 86 PIM | 53 H | 317 SH | 12 SB Adrian McCreath playing career did not end after season 1, it just took on a new beginning as after he announced his retirement from the VHL as a center, he took on becoming a goaltender. Moves like this aren’t common so we witnessed a little bit of history. Overall 71 points in a total of 84 games is pretty decent for a guy taken in the 3rd round.
  18. whenever i try to post a new topic I have no options at the top like to bold stuff and whatever, and that sucks because I can't fix my media spots the way I want it to be. anyway i can fix that? well now that im editing this post I can see all that stuff but thatd be annoying to go back and fix after i post something,
  19. you were implying what happened to St.Louis at the olympics. so i said what happened to Luongo, which is relevant.
  20. Tim Thomas just got traded to Dallas for TBA and Nick Schultz is now a member of the Columbus Blue Jackets and to Edmonton is a 5th rounder. also Kendrick, Luongo pretty much did, he was told he had a fair chance at winning the starting job as part of Team Canada, he got in one game and shutout Austria while Price let in a goal against Norway, but thats water under the bridge since Canada won. St.Louis meanwhile cried his way onto the team when Giroux took it like a man. It was a soap opera with Yzerman and St.Louis it was just not as much talked about because it happened in Tampa where the media doesnt blow it out of proportion. I also understand though that it as his last chance in the olympics and Giroux is young enough for the 2018 but what if the NHL doesnt go?
  21. ^^ that is basically the Luongo situation except a year shorter?
