nice trade calgary. should be a decent pick! now trade everyone else and lose all your games plz
-
I think it would be perfectly valid for Toronto to do this in order to make a push at the playoffs.

This. Also - don't watch the Caps too often, but do they always target the numbers on the back of the jersey as a good spot to hit the opposition? Thanks in advance.

Crawford needs to take a seat. He's been horrible since coming back from injury. I agree that officiating overall was not the reason we lost. Would have been nice if they didn't totally fuck us over in the last minute of the game though and at least got a point out of it.

HC Davos prospects performing well in VHLM The future looks bright in Switzerland HC Davos has a talented and deep prospect pool in the VHLM, with 6 prospects in the top 30 of the league leaders, including center AIM-11 (T-1st), winger Mario DeRossi (7th), winger Kyle Kingma (19th), defender Jakub Ackerman (T-20th), center Griffin Simons (T-24th), and winger Freedom McJustice (27th). All of the above prospects should find themselves on the Davos roster next season, and all but one prospect is assured to make the roster next season. That prospect, Griffin Simons, has been a great surprise for GM Jack Reilly, as a player taken in the third round of the S40 draft. Simons had a little bit of a late start to his career, but has demonstrated a lot of promise early on and appears very likely to contribute in a meaningful way in his future with the organization. The six players above will add to a talented group of players on the Dynamo roster, including S40 prospects Vladamir Komarov, Joshua Rubin, and Kurtis Hunter, as well as S41 prospect and captain, Gifford Shock. Lastly, goaltender Coca Cola has demonstrated potential as part of the Moscow Red Wolves. Although he has not achieved a consistent level of production yet, Davos is hopeful he can turn out to be another steal as an undrafted rookie.

but how is zero TPE doing better than everyone else? no one on the ice is worse than that player. anyhow, argument got killed a few pages back i think. i'm moving on. everyone pat me on the shoulder and tell me everything will be alright.

Re-Creates - Would you skip the VHLM if given a choice?
CoachReilly replied to Devise's topic in VHL.com Articles
mmhmm. easy choice. waste of time. league doesn't want top players so why keep the top players there. just allow shitty inactives to reign supreme IMO. -
maybe you are onto something.
-
this is great stuff. i don't know who lunaro is, but other than that, good stuff. in response to whoever it is, my build is fine. i just don't understand how it's feasible for someone with 0 TPE (actually has no attributes updated in the sim) to be leading the leading the league in points. please advise. thx.
-
Hmm I actually see the benefit in what Rhinehart is saying. Whatever. Although he's honestly the only person who brought a logical point against my Remove Inactives argument. I feel like a VHLM Salary Cap could accomplish the same while also improving disparity and spread out the locker room love.
-
Because it sucks when there's a capacity for these guys to lead the league in scoring. How is it good that they take points away from younger people who potentially will grow into the VHL? Someone at less than 115 TPE in 3 seasons should just retire IMO
-
Can you expand upon your last pt a little?
-
I think the biggest thing to worry about is just dumping your points in a 'to be used later' fund. It's just not as interesting to me, but I guess I'm part of a minority. I think at the very least, the following two actions should be taken: 1) have matching caps for staying in the VHLM and updating (i.e. either 200 / 200 or 175 / 175)... it's stupid to have different measures. 2) no VHLM players allowed to play more than 3 full seasons.. there's no point to it... everyone agrees i think - and if someone disagrees, i haven't heard a reason? also - opening up another big can of worms, but what about applying a salary cap / salary floor to the VHLM to level the playing field? might make sense.... that way, you avoid teams with 10 175 TPE players that just run through the schedule. also require teams to not trade away their entire squad. salary floor may be tough... but cap i think could work.

because there's still the capacity for someone like bjorkstand to exist? why is that not understood. take this to the next level.

Achievement tracker is the selfish reason why I don't like this. The unselfish reason is that I've also found it uninteresting to add to an attribute category of 'banked' ... I get less and less involved in doing a weekly point task and getting into a routine where I'm finding myself checking games. I may be crazy, but I may also think some people might agree with me. This isn't just recreates that will have this issue either. Davos has 4 S41 prospects (non-recreates) that are in their second full VHLM season. All don't have the ability to improve their player for another 8 weeks. That worries me slightly. New dudes already have a good way to get into a level playing field with the 3 doubled PTs, the VHLM TC, other weekly tasks, and career tasks. Here's how quick they can get to 70 TPE Week 1: Bio (10), RP (8), PT x 2 (12), VHLM TC (10), XM Radio (1) = 41 pts Week 2: PT x 2 (12), XM Radio (1): 53 TPE Week 3: PT x 2 (12), XM Radio (1): 65 TPE

i think anyone should be forced out of VHLM after 3 seasons. bjorkstand or whatever his name is only had like 60 TPE and he's dominating.
-
1) So he leads the league in points with 15 TPE because he's on a bad team? Why is his +/- also second best in the league? 2) No - per Victor, a VHLM FA can play 8 VHLM seasons at 175 TPE theoretically.
-
why take achievement tracker away? my argument is against two things: (1) a playing field that is way too even. two nobodies (no offense to the new guy, but he's done 0 PTs) are dominating. i find myself less than interested in the VHLM because I can't update my guy for 2 months. (2) inactives ruining the VHLM as they sit atop the leaderboard.
-
It's valid because there are still inactive FAs dominating. Even though Bjorkstrand 'shouldn't be' on Minot, all they have to do is offer him a contract and the magic man is back. Because there's still no rule on players being in the VHLM for more than 3 seasons.
