  1. I had Toronto slightly above of you guys before the Reinholdt trade, so now IMO Toronto is definitely finishing ahead of you.
  2. Forgetting Ironside, Sokolov, Reinholdt, and Boeser?
  3. @Kendrick for waiving NTC please
  4. To Riga: Markus King To Cologne: S56 QUE 1st S56 SEA 2nd @hedgehog337
  5. @Banackock maybe instead of selling you my future, I can just make my own Federov, which also happens to be two years younger
  6. One of the most highly touted prospects to come from Asia in recent memory, Rudi Ying recently got drafted in the S55 VHL Entry Draft at fourth overall by the Riga Reign. "I've travelled around the world quite extensively over the past couple of years, but it's my first time in Latvia, and I'm enjoying it so far. I'm currently living in an apartment that overlooks the Freedom Monument, and in the future I'm looking forward to exploring what Riga and Latvia has to offer. In the mean time, I'm just setting up some stuff here before I head back to Las Vegas." Yes, indeed Rudi Ying will be heading back to Las Vegas for a sophomore season, as despite the departure of goaltender Vernon Von Axelberry, powerplay quarterback Diego Jokinen, and snipers Takashi Fujimoto and Rusty Trombone, Ying will return to a team that still features Slava Aleksei, Felix Savard, Dexter Lane, and Luca Volkov in hopes of repeating as Founders' Cup champions. Having started the season behind Rask Rowe last season, Ying is expected to start the season as the top line center alongside Slava Aleksei and will be leaned on as an offensive weapon for the Aces this season. Filling his shoes this year as being a depth forward are new faces such as the promising Sergei Komarov and the not-as-promising Alexander McKinley, and the returnee Rask Rowe. Savard, Lane, and Volkov will be joined on the blue line by a fresh face in Mr. Shakedown. Shakedown could be a top defenseman if he wanted to, but his work ethic and commitment levels are what is currently holding him back at the moment. Having been drafted 15th overall in the S55 VHLM Dispersal Draft, a fellow defenseman who is more highly-touted at the moment - Bastian Stolzschweiger - that was drafted 16th overall, one spot behind Shakedown, could cause added pressure and stress on Shakedown. With elite VHLM superstar talents such as Felix Savard (175 TPE), Slava Aleksei (174 TPE), Rudi Ying (173 TPE), and Luka Volkov (160 TPE), a pair of elite forwards, a pair of elite defensemen, and a third semi-elite defenseman in Dexter Lane could be enough for the Aces to be a serious threat to repeat as championships despite the lack of a goaltender. With only the Ottawa Lynx having a human goaltender in net at this time (Key Perought), Vegas's lack of a goaltender should not be a serious detriment with teams like Yukon, Saskatoon, and Oslo all without a goaltender in net. In addition, Las Vegas is well set up for the future, and not a flash in the pan, as they managed to turn their 20th overall pick from this week's draft, Elijah Mikaelson, for a first-round draft pick in S56. As Fujimoto, Trombone, and Jokinen pass the baton onto Aleksei, Ying, and Volkov this year, by this time next year, Aleksei, Ying, and Volkov could very well pass it on to the new generation that is currently shaping up to be based around Komarov, Shakedown, and a S56 VHLM draftee. *for Stolzschweiger
  7. Seattle Bears' general manager Jordan Banack has recently hyped up his defensive prospect Aleksei Federov as on his way to being an elite, top pairing guy. Having gone fourth overall in the S54 VHL Entry Draft, the Russian blueliner certainly is one of the better young defensemen in the league right now. As demonstrated by his breakout performance at the recent World Cup, Federov is ready to slot in to any VHL lineup as an immediate contributing member. Bastian Stolzschweiger, two years younger than Federov, is one of the more exciting prospects to look out for. Having already signed a pre-contract with the Cologne Express, the German defenseman will look to emulate his game from his fellow European. The son of legend Christian Stolzschweiger, Bastian will also do his best to win rookie of the year honours in S56 when he will finally graduate to the VHL, as he looks to continue on the trend of Express rookies winning the trophy as of late, namely Joel Jarvi, Max von Hohenzollern, and Alexander Thrower.
  8. Bastian Stolzschweiger is sad with his holding penalty
  9. Bastian Stolzschweiger debut.. PP assist!
  10. Vegas back to winning ways despite crappy auto lines
  11. With the World Cup now over and done with it, many players are returning back to their club teams as training camps are underway for the new season. Some participants at the World Cup decided to go on a brief offseason vacation before returning to their clubs, and Chinese center Rudi Ying is one of them. We caught up with Ying in Beijing today as he returns to his home country to help with promotional activities regarding the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics. Asked how his performance was in the World Cup, Ying said that he's disappointed he didn't manage to pick up a single point despite playing on a line with the tournament's top two leading scorers, Pietro Maximoff and Franchise Cornerstone, for most of the tournament. "It was very enjoyable spreading the puck around with them on the ice with me, and I definitely feel like I contributed to a lot of the goals so they scored, so why I didn't get on the scoresheet I'm not quite sure. Maybe there was a deflection or two before they scored, maybe the opposition nicked it away for a second... maybe they were all tertiary assists, we'll never know. All I'm happy with is my experience playing with such top level players, I know I have to keep on working and putting in the effort to succeed both in the VHL and in the World Cup in the future." When his agent punkhippie was asked about other people's comments on how Ying was selected to the roster due to personal connections between him and the GM, and getting the call over players such as Fredinamijs Krigars, punkhippie had this to say, "well I understand where people were coming from, Ying just finished his first pro season down in Las Vegas while you have Krigars a potential Christian Stolzschweiger contender in Riga. I will say this though, the only two skaters to not pick up a single point in this tournament were Krigars and Ying. I'll let you decide what that means."
  12. Very nice roster analysis of the World Cup teams.
  13. Guess you were right about Team World after all.
  14. Corco multi? Signs him right away and accepts the offer before 12th hour. Corco using his updater permissions to make his player thread directly into the Wild Roster forum and lock it. I get you want to compete gosh, but a pretty solid plan on getting a goaltender.
  15. Cologne would like to welcome Thomas Smith to the team. :cheers:He will be a vital cog in our efforts to finish at the top of the draft lottery standings this season.

  16. He will be playing in Cologne by the way, not the VHLM. It's fine though, can you have him added to the Express roster when the season starts, presumably tomorrow? Appreciate it.
  17. @Higgins Thomas Smith's current attributes are as follows: As a S49 draftee, this should be his seventh season and second season of regression. He also illegally added five points to experience with his initial creation TPE. Therefore please change his attribute to as follows: Regression: 35 x 0.97 = 34, 34 x 0.95 = 32 40 x 0.97 = 39, 39 x 0.95 = 37 45 x 0.97 = 44, 44 x 0.97 = 42 Thanks!
  18. Sucks Stolzy won't be able to buy The First Gen 5 TPE
  19. Wolf and Lawrence shouldn't even be allowed on the roster this year with inactive FA's not allowed.
  20. @Frank @Banackock Point 3 is worded a bit weird. Point 2 clearly says there are no inactive FA's, so why does point 3 say that this INCLUDES active FA's? Does that imply draftees also must be offered a salary within $1M-$2M like VHL? And this would not fall within $7M cap because some teams have more than 7 players. Or am I misunderstanding this and the $7M is purely for FA's and midseason waiver pickups? If so, what salary do draftees get? @YEAH!stlemania
  21. @Higgins as per the call-up forum, Detlev, Gisler, and Smallwood will be called up to the VHL. Detlev and Gisler are on $4M contracts, and consider what happened last year with V2A... Yeah, wouldn't be a bad idea to remove them from Yukon, Ottawa, and Oslo respectively. Ottawa shouldn't have Lawrence and Wolf behind Perought either with no VHLM inactive FA's allowed now.
  22. Good to see you active again, hope you become a steal for the Titans!
