  4. Content: 3/3 - Certainly one of the flagship franchises of the VHL of the past few seasons have taken into account that the talent they have will be jumping ship sometime soon. I have faith in the new general manager that will keep them in contention, even if they're not sitting at the top of the league. Great write up. Grammar: 2/2 - I didn't find that many mistakes. 5. Content: 3/3 - I loved this story. As a somewhat-still new members, I can relate to your story here, feeling a bit isolated. It's great that you had a brother to help you along the way though! Grammar: 1.50/2 - There were errors here that didn't really affect the flow of reading through it, but the fact they were repetitive knocked you down a few notches. 6. Cologne, Germany 16.3.2014 After an eventful off season for the Cologne Express, the training camp and pre season preparations went swimmingly as expected. One storyline that the Cologne media was very hot on was the connection between veteran starting goaltender Evgeni Chekhov and prospect Blaine Olynick. Things were pretty relaxed during training camp, according to an inside source of the Express locker room. Once the two got to know each other on a first-name basis, the team put the two goalies to the test on a team-wide shootout scrimmage. Both goalies had good showings against the Cologne roster. Loser had to buy the other goalie dinner that night. It wasn't until Kameron Taylor pulled off a "Datsyuk-ian" deke on Olynick to give Chekhov the win over the budding player. Both players have been quoted to have nothing but positive words for each other. "I told him to eat light, I just signed my first pro contract last week," Olynick said with a laugh.
  7. As promised. That's me doing back up and harmonies. My favorite out of all the ones we've written. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HzJdQ603pXo
  8. I've been in multiple bands. I've sang and played guitar in all of then but this most recent one. We were together for a year before my friendship with the members was deteriorating so I quit to salvage it. Everyone else followed suit. We recorded an EP the week before we broke up and the singer is actuay still in the process of adding vox. I'll post a link to a song tomorrow when I'm not on mobile.
  9. Yeah for some reason the first few paragraphs come out as double spaced. I think it's due to the picture. I tried screwing around with it but nothing helped.
  10. A Royal Affair (thanks to Kendrick for the title) After a successful resurgence of the Bern Royals franchise, GM Bushito saw his crop of young prospects find greener pastures in the Season 36 VHLM Dispersal Draft. But two familiar faces remain locker room leaders in Bern. Those two names are Ron World Peace and Blaine Olynick. Being drafted by the Royals 5th and 11th overall last season respectively. Leading in many of their positional stats in several different categories, World Peace and Olynick have seen their play improve dramatically over the off season. World Peace currently sits second among defensemen in points and goals. 6 out of the 8 goals from World Peace have come on the power play, sitting tied for first in the VHLM. Olynick is sitting pretty at a 7-1 record, with a .918% save percentage and a 2.47 goals against average, one of the best in the league at the moment. World Peace is known for his outgoing, partying, and free spirited personality, while Olynick is seen around the league as introverted, competitive, but thinks very highly of himself. Somewhere along the line these two personalities collided and bonded well together. The duo doesn't stop generating great backstopping defense for Bern Royals after this season. This past VHL Entry Draft saw Olynick go 6th and 12th overall respectively, similar to the spots they went to Bern in the VHLM Dispersal Draft. They are both expected to make it to Cologne next season along with more young players GM Collier acquired this past off season. Surely they have great chemistry, but why? "We sort of just clicked at the start," said World Peace. "We were both new faces for the Royals last year and we used that to connect over time. As a defenseman and a friend to Blaine, I learned to trust him at the net, which leaves me with some peace of mind on the ice." Ron World Peace breaking up a dangerous play for his buddy Blaine Olynick. Blaine said about World Peace, "He probably thinks I've saved his ass one too many times. In reality, he's probably done the saving for me more times than I have for him. He's an exceptional defenseman and I couldn't ask for a better guy in front of me. I can't wait until we make it to Cologne and show the rest of the league what we're made of." So what does the future hold for these two? The Cologne Express scouts were very high on the chemistry the two have had both on and off the ice. It was a top priority to pick up both players with the 3 consecutive picks Cologne had in the draft. In time when World Peace is anchoring the blue line for Cologne while Olynick becomes the starting goaltender, opposing teams will take note on how they could beat the duo. From the strip clubs in Bern to the eventual big time in Cologne, the duo will always keep in mind that the other half will always make the game fun for each other, no matter where they may be.
  11. Expanding the VHLM to 14 teams means the VHL will have to go to 14 teams as well. I don't think we have the numbers to support 14 teams.
  12. That's pretty much what happened when we tried it a while back. I'll volunteer to comment. My account is over a year old with plenty of comments to show my activity.
  13. I have a Reddit account. Use it for regular purposes. Same name as here.
  14. It was pretty long for my taste. Nothing like the first one but it still provides some laughs. I recommend watching it drunk.
  15. Content: 3/3 - From the very start, Tom Slaughter was slated to be a rookie sensation in the VHL. So far he's been having a pretty good season, and with the company he's surrounded in, it wouldn't surprise me if he had the best out of all rookies. Grammar: 2/2 - Good all around. Wranglers, this - Wranglers. This all star - all-star Apperance: 1/1 - Always like it when team colors are used. Overall: 6/6 Final: 6/6
  16. Content: 3/3 - Glad you shed some light on the situation and handled it very maturely. I'm sure it was a heat in the moment type of issue quickly blew over. Regardless, I know how confusing the league could be. Glad you're sticking it out. Grammar: 2/2 - Very small errors. someone/ - someone. Through three games with limited time he hasn't shown us much. - Through three games with limited time, he hasn't shown us much. them though - them, though. Appearance: 1/1 - Christmas colors! Overall: 6/6 Final: 6/6
  17. Content: 3/3 - A rejuvenated VHLM with a lot of evenly matched players spread across the league will make for a very interesting season. You'll just have to get through Salo and I first. Grammar: 1.75/2 - Some more errors I found. line, after - line. After However it - However, it Appearance: 1/1 - Pretty standard. Good job. Overall: 5.75/6 Final: 6/6
  18. Content: 3/3 - I'm a firm believer of "defense wins championships". But in a place like the VHL, scoring has always dominated. I too would love to see someone try out a defensive forward build. Grammar: 1.75/2 - Slobo's got most of 'em. Appearance: 1/1 - The unaligned picture just looks bad. Overall: 5.75/6 Final: 6/6
