  1. Love this! Stoked to be a part of this team!!!
  2. 1) I'll be doing my first Mock Draft for the Season 64 Draft this coming week. Based on the VHL season so far, which team do you think will hold the first overall pick in that draft? Based on what I've seen so far, it's looking like New York. Though, just as easily it could be Davos. 2) There's been a lot of VHLM trades happening recently, are you surprised by how many trades there have been this early in the season? As this is my first season in the game i would have said no. But looking over many answers to these questions it looks like it's in fact out of the ordinary. Which i think is pretty cool! 3) About a third of the way through the season, who would you say has been the VHLM's MVP? Have to give it up to MacKinnon tearing it up. But, Rhett Stoffiday is the real MVP! 4) Which other VHLM player would you consider to be your closest rival? Honestly being that i just started i don't think i have built that kind of thing so far. Maybe next season i will be able to see something of a rivalry. 5) Play the role of GM of your team, who is the one player on another VHLM franchise that you try to bring in? Nathan MacKinnon without a doubt. Dudes a straight up beast! 6) How do you feel about your current TPE levels I actually feel pretty good at the moment. Closing in on 100 tpe after all my pending updates. Hopefully that will help get me on the board a little bit more. Either way I'm still learning and working hard to get better!

  4. 1) The season has kicked off now, how do you feel about your team's performance to this point of the season? I'm very happy with the teams performance! I don't think it gets much better than it has been. 2) What would you say has been your best performance in a game so far this season? Though i haven't had success on the score sheet, my team play has been quite good. 3) For some of you this will have been your first week of experience with the sim, what are your thoughts on the sim engine thus far? I don't have too many thoughts on it as of yet. I need to do more looking at it before i make an opinion on it. I would definitely like to see a more mobile friendly version. As i can't always get on my computer. 4) If you could bring in a brand new point task for the VHL, what would it be? To be honest, anything i could have said has been said already. Maybe something like a community or charity signing would be cool? 5) The World Juniors cup will be happening in the near future, how likely do you think you'll be to representing your country? Id love to say that I'll be there, and i hope i am! But, there's a lot of really good players to represent team Canada. So, all i can do is keep working hard and hope for the best! 6) Of all the logos in the VHLM, which one would you consider your favourite and why? The Rush logo is very nice got to love how clean it is!!!
  5. 1) Out of the players brought in through free agency/waivers post-draft (John Madden, Bobby Power, Brick Wahl, Mark Gebauer, Evgeni Komarov, Divaani Sohva, Finn Davison, Jonathon Hill, Kyson Blake), who do you think will go on to have the best career? Though I'm not too familiar, I've been seeing a lot of komarov working hard getting tpe in so that's who I'll go with. 2) What are your thoughts on the player management section of the portal? Anything you'd like to see added to it? In terms of player management, I'd like to see a more mobile friendly interface. Not to say that there's anything wrong. I just check on my phone more than pc. 3) Who is the one member in the league who you would like to play on the same team as? Maybe I lucked out with being drafted by Yukon. I get to play with Shan, Sullivan, Zabby, and Bailey. Those would be my choices. 4) If the VHL or VHLM were to ever expand, what cities would you like to see represented? Id love to see more Canadian teams! Outside NHL markets. Barrie, Peterborough, Kingston, Swift Current. etc... Would be cool to see some more European teams as well! 5) Who do you think will be in the top four picks in the Season 64 Draft Class? This looks like a pretty competitive. But there's a definite gap after the top 4 and that will be hard to catch up on. Sullivan, Zabby, Jerwa, Garrop 6) What would you say is the best graphic that you've seen on the VHL? In all honesty, this is something i need to dive more into. I can't say there's a 1 graphic that I've seen to call a clear cut number 1!
  6. That would be awesome! Thank you!
  7. VHLM Team: Yukon Rush Drafted: 1st pick 6th round 31st overall Jersey Number: 54 Height: 6'3" Weight: 220 Birthplace: Toronto, Ontario, Canada Comparable players by: Wayne Simmonds, Rick Nash, Matthew Tkachuk, Joe Thornton, Corey Perry, Brad Marchand Strengths Skating: powerful strides, consistent speed for a player of his size. Hard to remove from the puck, legs always moving. A late bloomer who speed has increased significantly over the last few seasons through hard work with his strength and condition coaches. Extreme tenacity and relentless work ethic. Puck Handling: Very responsible puck handler in the offensive zone. Keeps head up, confidence with the puck leads to a lot of completed no look passes and shots. Excellent use of big frame to shield and protect the puck from defenders. Does not try to do too much with the puck. More interested in efficiency over dangling. Shooting/Passing: Blistering shot with surprising accuracy. Has been praised all his career for his lightning quick release which can often freeze opposing players and goalies. Confident shooter exposes a goalies weakness. Almost surgically picks them apart. Strong passing compared to the likes of Joe Thornton has garnered a lot of publicity on social media over the last few years. Including a segment with Canadian comedy hockey social media experts "On The Bench". Weaknesses Discipline: With all that potential talent he shows, the thing that has held him back and could in the future is discipline. With a hot head and aggressive play style comes taking a lot of unnecessary penalties. Leading his collegiate league in penalties over the last two seasons handedly. Has often left his team down a man multiple times a game. This is something that needs to be worked on if there is to be success at the next level. Defense: this is an area that leaves something to be desired. From time to time looking confused in the defensive zone. Not sure where to be or who to cover during a cycle. Has shown improvement recently but still has a far way to go if he ever wants to be relied on in any special teams situations. Leadership: Though being compared to great team leaders for their skill play, the other side of their game is leadership. This is something that he lacks at this point in his game probably goes hand in hand with his lack of discipline. His former teammates agreed that he could be a great leader if he matured and took leadership more seriously on a professional level. Summary: Dan Baillie has a lot of potential at the next level to have a long successful career. That is to say, if he chooses to. If his lack of discipline and leadership don't start to correct themselves very quickly he could find out very quickly what it's like to another number forgotten. Although, I'm sure if you were to ask Brad Marchand who has built a career on playing that style of hockey. He'd tell you what its like to be the most hated man in the NHL while also being very successful on the scoresheet.
  8. It's definitely been longer than the allotted time. What do we do here?

  10. 1) The VHLM Draft has now concluded, which team do you believe had the best draft? I have to go with the team that drafted myself. With only a slight amount of bias, the picks Yukon made in the early rounds were extremely strong. 2) Of the players that were selected, who do you think has the potential to be the biggest surprise? I would love to say myself! But, i have a lot to learn going forward. So, I'll say Gucci Garrop. 3) With the VHLM rosters starting to take shape heading into the start of the season, who do you think will be the best team this season (You can view the teams HERE) I'd be crazy to not say Yukon. With all the early picks with so much potential... The Rush are going to be nasty! 4) What are your thoughts on your new General Manager (If you also have a VHL team, you can use this to talk about your VHL GM) A gm that believes in the players is always a great thing. Giving you the tools to be successful. Lots of info to help build players to the best they can be. 5) How did you find out about the VHL? I honestly was looking for a hockey mmo while deeproute football was down and came across vhl on Google. It was quite intimidating at first. But I think I'm getting the hang of it now! 6) If there was one thing in particular you would likeexplaining about how the VHL works, what would it be i can't think of anything at the moment but i know any time i have questions the staff are right there to help!
