  1. Doesn't that just create an issue of him keep transferring the designation to the younger player and getting him as a GM Rule player? I mean he could just keep that revolving door going, could he not?
  2. Toast can update both players fully, which 9 TPE per week, but he is gifting a team a Goalie headed into his prime for a prospect. At their points in their careers, Riga is getting jipped.
  3. Not exactly. If there is a 3 year difference he can create a 2nd player right away (at least thats what the 2nd player rule is now in place for). From my understanding, once you are granted a 2nd player, you can also have 2 players created in this league (they just have to be 3 seasons apart).
  4. I meant in the question thread not the Podcast itself. I see a lot of people send in questions for the Pajodcast but the members of the Pajodcast are too "cool" to do the same to others. Ahem "Chris" ahem.
  5. It's not really an issue with this trade per say, more of issue with the designation of the title "GM Player" moving forward. But I did have another point, considering you changed the designation and can still keep updating the G, this trade still looks very lopsided.
  6. This. Just I went down 20 streets to get there when I could've taken a sharp right on Logical Lane.
  7. Okay as you can see by my other responses I understood this deal was good now, bit was the future I was questioning. The part in the rule book that says "GM Rule" is the part I was wondering about and a part I didn't see until now (because of the addition I was used to seeing that in there). What my concern/question was is this: If a GM's first player (John Wilson) was acquired with the GM Rule and before his 7th season he is traded from Team A to Team B, then in that same off-season would he be able to transfer that title to Mike Smith (his 2nd Player acquired through the draft by Team A)? Then 5-6 seasons down the line he creates another player (Roger Williams) after Wilson had retired, transfer the title to Williams and trade Smith away? Basically meaning he never really has to go out an acquire any of his players. Am I lost in my own thinking?
  8. I understand that for your sake. I just meant later on with the transferring of that title to said second player and first player (and vice versa).
  9. Is this supposed to be a smart ass comment? I know what that meant. See above post.
  10. Okay so we do need an addition to the Rulebook then, because as this deal looks now it can't really be a thing unless the league was informed. I just think we could get into some bad moments later on where GM's strictly use the 8 year career on one player then with 3 seasons to go in that career trade him off and allow their 2nd player to be their GM player. Basically it could mean the GM never has a player enter the VHL draft for another team to acquire, which isn't really fair or the point.
  11. Judging by your inability to return the polite Questions to other Podcasters, I just figured you didn't. In fact tell your entire Podcast squad to get on that horse as well. All I know is Calgary isn't done (from what I see) and it will be an interesting year for us.
  12. Can this happen though? One of them wasn't in the draft and that was the G. If it is allowed, do we have an amendment or addition to the rulebook to make? Also, is their a reason this deal is severely lopsided?
  13. Roster numbers were something I debated in the recent Blades of Steel Podcast (the one you don't listen too), and many argue what the perfect lineup looks like number wise. I think people could discuss that until the sun burns out, but everyone has a different take and every Cup winning team is different in that regard.
  14. Also can I pick your avatar?
  15. Glad to have you back!
  16. What are some names you considered for created players? I'm unsure, but have you ever made a non American player? Favorite real life hockey story you can share?
  17. Remember when I said that I messed up the recording, I had mentioned your Podcast as the TractorCast and then re-recorded and must have forgot. I promise you it was mentioned before! I just think the numbers are so close!
  18. Unassisted @jRuutu
  19. One more mate, you have double picks
  20. *Players
  21. His three rings speak for him.
  22. Except he has three cups before, so that's tough to say.

  24. Oh I agree, but factor in his comment was made most likely directly after voting (which given his thought process) was cast with playoffs in mind. That's why it looks bad That being said I don't think he voted because he was a teammate, Greg is a viable option that is easily validated.
  25. He's not, but he has a point.
