  3. Keep butting into things your opinion has no weight in then. Go on
  4. No no no, just let it die with the Diaz/McGregor stuff. Conor needs to give up one belt. What really needs to happen is for whatever belt Conor isn't defending, he gives up. No more of this waiting a full year before he defends a belt at a weight class. If you are a belt holder in two weight classes, it means you better be willing and able to fight in both weight classes a lot sooner than other fighters. Why? Well it's a hard thing to do but he went for it so he has to be ready. Woodley is a champ and I enjoyed watching him again. That Guillotine though.
  5. In all fairness I wasn't going to sign in Toronto because I had not knowing GM situations and I got the indication from you and a few of your players that they didn't know what was going to happen. It wasn't anything personal with Toronto or anything, but more geared around not knowing what was going on. It's not directly me holding a comment against them, but it does speak volumes on how they deal with players and people who just didn't choose them in one off-season. In Cologne I was upset FA's didn't sign at different times but I never came into a thread when they lost and gave them a shitty comment. @stevo I'm not even sure you know whats going on, so its best you stay out.
  6. Well you mentioned it was okay for them to state their opinions as well, which is perfect because it's my right to say that it looks poorly on them for doing so after a loss. -Oh hey a big FA that didn't sign with me just lost in the playoffs -better make a backhanded comment about them losing -oh I hope they don't read that and think I was offending them or questioning them (even though I was) -FA rolls around -FA says hell no to me, but why? Thats strange I have a good team in the future they could've added to You've gone so far back and forth with things that now I don't even know. You started off defending the people Higgins and I effectively called out, but now you are saying we are allowed to do what we want and no one should question that, but at the same time they should be able to question that; confused.
  7. It sucks because if new ownership had anyway they'd get Dana out of there. He might be the face behind the organization, but the guy has been a cancer for the past 2 years for the sport in general. I wish everyone could be around Brazilian MMA fighters day in and day out. When I met Wanderlai in July, despite this guys historic past and great success he met me and acted like I was the big deal. He was nothing but class and graceful and I couldn't hold a candle to him in any MMA way. In August I met Rony "Jason" and he was the same way (except a bit more edgy). Brazilians grow up and the sport of MMA is a badge of pride, respect and something they strive to be the best at while keeping their friends close.
  8. We weren't being defensive for no reason. People who come in here and say they weren't trying to invoke a response are lying. Like I said though, that is their choice and it will in fact blow up in their face as why would any FA want to sign there. It is what it is and the soap boxes (no matter how high) will regret saying shit being a GM at the time they said it. It is okay for them to state their opinion but it doesn't bode well in regards to FA in the future. That's if they think free agents matter or not...
  9. Welcome to the world of UFC, where they con people into giving them close to a grand every year just to watch their favourite fighters. They don't give a shit. I'm serious they don't because that money goes to paying fighters who often times don't even respect the people paying.
  10. Format? Like the UFC format because thats actually thing they do right. Prelims are supposed to get people to bite last minute to but the PPV (I would think some do at least). The guys at the gym all have paid UFC passes (some are former UFC/Pride fighters). I have done some self-defence classes with them leading as well, but most of my time is obviously spent working out. It's just a good environment to be around altogether.
  11. On a lot of issues. Not everything has to be dissected like a frog. I just don't see where my 52 season history has anything to do with his personal opinion of getting cups haha
  12. I'm not offended, at all. Not once in this thread have I, even when he dished out insults. I just think it's funny he thinks his opinion needs to be put on every aspect of the league, even right down to a members thoughts on his own tenure.
  13. It's PPV, why would I dish out money for PPV UFC? After all this discussion haha That being said I probably won't buy it but the guys will and I'll watch it at the gym with them if they still go in on it.
  14. Lie? What exactly did I lie about. You came after me for basically just pointing out that GM's come in and say things once a loss has been solidified by someone they have sour grapes over. You don't think that but we certainly know whats behind those comments because all season long they have been there. Just to be clear though it was a witch hunt. Go back and look at that thread and how things were phrased. I read it before ever responding and you can call me a liar all you want but you two whined like someone stole the bottle.
  15. The bolded part: It is something I've done (through loyalty) and it hasn't worked. That is what I am saying. You are saying Toronto built themselves through the draft and with a few pieces here and there were able to go on a possible four-peat here. When all fits under the cap, who the hell cares where they came from? I am talking one season here not the building of anything special with a 3-4 year span. You are basically arguing that Toronto has had success from building through a draft and that it is a prime example why FA isn't always the greatest way to success. That's cool and all, but never did I say I argued against that. I strictly said it's funny that some GM's are sharing their "hindsight 20/20" comments right now when a FA (or 4) all signed with one team because they felt it was a good chance at a cup. I also stated it was my personal feeling that I had not accomplished what I FEEL is enough success to consider this place a success. You decided to dissect that like your points carried any weight in MY personal opinion about my time. Why does my 52 seasons in the VHL have anything to do with what you are saying? I'm struggling to see why your analysis has to be brought into every last subject in the league, right down to my own thoughts on 52 seasons. I may think I am on a soap box but it appears you feel like you have all the answers.
  16. Yeah had to switch it up
  17. No but you stated how big and mighty it was and then griped it in the next post. Sort of speaks volumes about the organization if in one post its the best thing since sliced bread and then...here are all the reasons its not. i don't know how anyone can be fine with what Conor did in the press conferences. That just is a mockery of the MMA world because thats not at all what that stands for. Sure it sells tickets and gets people talking but you have to separate business and discipline for once as well.
  18. I stated PERSONALLY that I am not content with the amount of cups I have won in 52 seasons in this league (4). Now I'm not sure why my PERSONAL opinion makes you think you can straight out point out the flaws in that statement. I never acted like I had won nothing, see now you are putting words in my mouth. I strictly said that in 52 seasons I am not happy with what I've gotten out of that tenure in regards to team awards. Saying that, I also pointed out that your little idea that team loyalty has seemed to have more success is false; because in those 52 seasons I have remained loyal and signed long-term contracts and it has done shit all. You basically just stated that if someone goes out to grab cups, they think highly of themselves. That is in fact false. If someone goes out to get cups its because in this simulation, winning cups is the ultimate goal and winning them makes this fun experience worth it. However, if you aren't winning them it does get a little sour considering you put effort in and try to help the league in different capacities. I don't act like they are shaming me at all, but they haven't really hesitated to post their sour grapes about people not choosing them. That just looks bad on them. We didn't sign with a given team, who cares move past it. You have this thinking that if someones opinion differs from yours, it's totally lacking any intelligence behind it. I won't even touch the second last paragraph because you just want to hurl insults around now.
  19. Here are all the reasons you're wrong about the UFC, Kendrick >Here are all the reasons the UFC is fucking up Haha sounds good.
  20. So what your basically saying is that despite me openly saying I signed one year contracts to chase a cup because being here from S1 and not being satisfied with my cup total is stupid. Loyalty got me know where and your little bullshit reason of staying with a team is great and all, but I've done that and it got me nowhere. So what exactly is this master formula you claim to have full proofed on how to get cups? I did what I had to do, if those GM's want to burn bridges with hindsight related comments they can go right ahead, but I'll just start shit talking them until they give up. You know one of the issues is GM's think they are so high that they can just voice their opinions on things and not have it blow up in their face. That's great and all but doesn't bode will in free agency (which contrary to your post) does matter a bit.
  21. Cowboy is a legend. That guy can punch with the best of them.
  22. The stream was fine, I could listen and watch you guys. It's the chat thing that prompted me to download something
