  1. Not anymore. If I was approached before this hiring I might have said yes.
  2. A real statement would a complete overhaul of management
  3. I mean I agree, but you also have to take note that it's not really in any members responsibility to make their linemate feel like shit as well. Going out of your way to help someone is preferred but if that doesn't happen, doing the opposite is not recommended either. No we aren't putting Asipi above the rest of the team. I understand that given his current TPE levels that he is a second line or what have you; not a first liner. That's not the point. The point is that one guy made another guy feel like shit.
  4. Hahaha the train wreck continues folks. @Phil like I said
  5. I understand the frustration but I think it was directed at the wrong person. If the guy has 10 TPE applied it might be best to help him do better? Instead of telling him he is the reason for the sucking.
  6. Was it ever certain? Let's be honest.
  7. No no he was actively stating that Asipi was the reason for his players stats being lower than he thought. That was common knowledge if you read his articles.
  8. I recruited him and was talking to him as I went along, he was pretty sure what I may have said was a tongue and cheek thing. I get he may want a line change and may want answers from the GM but he actively was saying things in articles that were a little harsh towards Asipi. Keep in mind he is 14 years old, it's not the most comfortable situation for him.
  9. Still not as bad as Cologne.
  10. We are terrible
  11. Can only learn from it. Sucks to see one of my recruits leave just because he was bullied
  12. Moving it at all was a strange idea regardless. Its the most winningest franchise
  13. I wouldn't call them dumb at all. Our job is to look at situations where GM's are not vocal or active. Facts were that in davos not much talk or movement was happening because it was a ghost town (or not a town). Then having the balls to want to re-locate haha
  14. I'm not the GM though, if you have to time to check FB you have to time to poke on here and tell us you don't have much time. I'm just saying that the ball is in your court, not mine. I am not the GM. We understand you are busy, that's not the point. If you are busy try to telling the team or just letting the position go. I'm not sure how it is our fault now? haha
  15. Yes I am. I see the thread in the BOG right now haha
  16. He is a new member being told by a veteran member that he is the reason they are sucking. Whether Gooning believe it or not you simply don't say shit like that. I don't get why anyone would take the side of a veteran member blaming a new member. Thanks for popping by @DeathOnReddit, I guess some people don't see new members as a priority and it's sad Tagger went inactive.
  17. You were pretty much non-responsive for awhile, to the point where the bOG was even looking to put someone in charge.
  18. Maybe not, but as a player on his team I know so far it has been less than impressive.
  19. I get that. But it took him 10 days to respond to my PM and he is a GM. In that case you let your team know you are crunched for time, which hasn't even happened. He has someone else doing lines for him but that didn't even happen until about 6-8 games into the season. You have to know when to give it up
  20. Being inactive for 2 weeks just to come on and do barely anything isn't enough to save a job in the VHLM.
  21. There has been much talk recently about the VHLM and the activity of General Managers. I am here to give a cut and dry perspective of my experiences in the VHLM over time and my more recent experiences there as well. Currently Chase Keller is on the Yukon Rush and if it wasn't for @Bushito doing something he isn't even paid to do, our team would be worse than we are. We are in 5th place and we are managed by a guy who is largely inactive. This isn't a new thing as Laflamme (Kuzie) has gone inactive before in this league, but it's frustrating more now because he holds an important position. Let this be clear to those who are hiring: People who come back and say "Oh I went inactive in the past but I'm back for good!" will majority of the time continue on their inactive ways. Yes personal life comes up and gets in the way and we understand that, but these are the same people who never bring that up with anyone and give warning to their teams. I was the GM in Ottawa last season and we had a pretty active Locker-Room which is now run by @Beaviss. Beaviss was a blessing in that Locker-Room as well and Jardy (who mentioned he won't be as hands-on) even chimed in with help and direction for the young people. So far what I've seen Jardy do last season and before that has been more hands-on than Laflamme and it was in a more limited role. Let's not kid ourselves here, the VHLM is the path to the future and if you want it to stick around we need to be hiring people who actually want the job, not just the title. #RantOver
  22. I don't think so considering the timeline is different than what you think. From what he told us he had gone somewhat inactive before anything happened. Just saying though maybe his GM's have gone AWOL for similar reasons? If so why the hate?
  23. No He is inactive. Took him 2 weeks to figure out our lines were fucked and took 10 days for him to come online and respond to a PM. I don't think Gooning can really talk, Davos was a mess when he was a GM because he went inactive for large portions. That being said, yes something needs to be done. People in the VHLM need to look at themselves in a mirror at some point because if you can't stay active, SAY SOMETHING!
  24. Good work offence!
