I'm not saying anything. It was pure conjecture. I just know day 1 was supposed to be on monday and I was late in updating. Oh I thought you were just picking up from last season...

Ok, setting the record straight for everyone: There are three steps to the updating process: 1) Weekly updaters confirm player TPE earnings and change the player pages on the roster forums. 2) I use the updated players pages to update the corresponding players in the sim 3) That updated file is sent to the league simmer to upload into the current season So if your player is not updated, an error occurred at one of three steps. It just so happens that this time nobody's player was updated for games 1-10, probably because the games were actually simmed earlier this week (aka before I had a chance to update) and we just waited until last night to post them. That's why I usually stipulate in my weekly "Hey guys I've updated your players" post to wait a day or two for the changes - updates are a process that can take 1-3 days to fully occur. If any of yous guys gots a problem, bring it to the Thunderdome. I'd be happy to slap you around and then revert to the old system of 1 or 2 updates a season. (AND, for the record, I think MF is like a defense attorney. People love to hate them, but we need them around to give legitimacy to our systems of administration. So... keep up what you're doing, I think?)

Wheelin’ and Dealin’ The Wolf Pack is a bit bigger and stronger for Season 40. General Manager Frank Chadwick has had a roller coaster few seasons since taking over the Quebec City Meute for Season 37, starting with a historically awful 8-58-6, working back up to a 47-24-1 second-place finish in the conference, and culminating in a league worst 13-55-4 Season 39 record. The upcoming season could continue the trend. Every With a revamped roster filled with young talent at every position and some veteran leadership that might just be Dynamo 2.0, the Meute look poised to make a splash. And this Season 40 team is most definitely the product of Chadwick’s vision. Every single roster player on the S40 Meute (save Chadwick’s own Aksel Thomassen) has been the product of a trade that he executed – starting with his very first trade just before Season 37. In other words: Frank flips trades like it’s nobody’s business. The Core Players Frank has assembled young talent at every position on the Meute, including Konstantin Azhischenkov and Aksel Thomassen at Center, Bruno Wolf and Azi Ali on the wings, Koji Yamazaki and Lauris Prikulis on the blue line, and Brock Waldron in net. Quebec mortgaged the inherited S36 lineup to build for the future, which is reflected in Frank’s very first trade: To (S30) D - Gregory Glass S38 HSK 3rd (LW Joseph Baker) To (S30) RW - Roberto Martucci S38 QUE 2nd (LW Josh Bennett) This would set up the dominos to fall. There are only two team that Frank has never traded with: the New York Americans and Toronto Legion. Number of assets flipped from one trade to another: 7 Overall, very few roster players who weren’t retiring were traded out and a host of fresh blood brought in at the cost of a depleted pick pool. What we see here is a GM who wants a shot at winning now while retaining a young core, and who clearly doesn’t like drafting and really, REALLY likes trading. #Frank4Knight

For the second season in a row, I've rolled out a concept for a recurring series of stat-based articles only to not follow up. At first I was tracking 3-Star selections, and I figured out after three weeks that it was taking me about half an hour a night just to record those. Then I tried tracking spent TPE fluctuations to analyze trends and provide some insight into the week by week behavior of the VHL. I got a month of data before giving up, realizing that everyone just wants to dump points in scoring all the time (more or less). So the question is what half-cocked idea will I come up with this season? I'm ready to dive into another high labor, low reward situation that I make promises to deliver on and then lose interest in. I'll spend a half hour a night for three weeks working on some spreadsheet related to the VHL then give up when I realize that if I had spent that time learning to speak Spanish or something then maybe I'd be fluent right now. Send me your ideas!
