Threats made against LeBeau.
The life of an Aidan Shaw winner is not easy these days. After getting his eight shut out of the year LeBeau got threatened by the Captain of the Helsinki Titans, Ethan Osborne. Due to LeBeau shutting out the current VHL Champions he got annoyed by the stellar play of the Toronto Legion goaltender. We are not even close to the play-off’s yet but Osborne is trying to get his most feared opponent to fear him instead.
At the press conference after the game Ethan Osborne gave a very detailed description of what he wanted to do with the goaltender. He would run down LeBeau in the next game, which followed by a step by step description of what he planned on doing.
For the Toronto Legion Niklas Lindberg attended the press conference and as an answer to Osborne his words Lindberg described what he could expect if he tried doing that. He would definitely leave the ice in a lot of pain. The former rookie of the year can do anything, so if the Legion needs a goon to take out Osborne, the only question people can ask their selves is: “Why not Lindberg? “
The weirdest part of the press conference was that Remy LeBeau was just sitting there. The captain of the Toronto Legion basically just ignored the Legion captain. He didn’t seem to be paying attention to him; he was just enjoying his flawless victory over the Titans. If the teams will meet again though, he already informed his teammates that they can just bash Osborne in the net and that LeBeau will take care of him himself.
The Legion surprised the VHL in Season 29 by shutting out a lot of their opponents, the team got known for their defensive approach and surprised everybody with their cup run. When looking back at that victory it was also the birth of the current Legion line up. After the cup victory the team went in an immediate rebuild in order to get even stronger and go for a cup run a few years after. For Sandro Desaulniers the time has now come to get another cup as Toronto Legion member. While the conference is still stacked and it’s clear which three teams will have to battle eachother in order to reach the finals, the Legion General Manager is positive:
The Legion are ready to go for an upset, the Quebec City Meute may be the favorites but the Legion have shown that they are also able to beat them even with their back-up goaltender in net. That’s what the Legion is shooting for, an upset during the playoffs. Expect the catchphrase “Why Not Us?” to be trending on social media as Twitter soon.
