They are basically in a rebuilding period. Time to get rid of the old overpaid folks (since they were getting slow) and time to start new talent working together. I don't see us doing well next world cups, but hopefully they know what they are doing. Still waiting for our first world cup victory.

They attempt to take it. We don't have many talented players, but the few we did have all trained with Alex Andjelic while they were really young. Andjelic ended up being a skills coach with the Maple Leafs amongst some other jobs, that guy knows what it takes and he did well with these kids. Other dutch kids that trained with him haven't reached the NHL organizations yet, but one of them atleast participated in the talent camp or so of the Washington Capitals (Nardo Nagtzaam), he plays for Mercyhurst University now. Other kid (Mitch Bruijsten) that tried to make it through the USHL, had a tryout this year with Stockton Thunder (ECHL) but couldnt get a contract. So yeah we don't have many, but these three are all from my hometown.

I was born in the same town as Mike Dalhuisen, who has just been called up to the Owen Sound Tigers (AHL). Think that is the best known person I could come up with about my birthtown.

VHL Pension Plan I – Members who have created one 400+ TPE player claim 3 TPE/week on weeks no point task is done. VHL Pension Plan II - Members who have created two or more 400+ TPE player claim 4 TPE/week on weeks no point task is done. For an overview of the eligible players: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AmcfC4GrdHZDdDg1cUxCbS10ZVBHbnY5UF83RzE2MFE There are still some unassigned players, feel free to post the missing username - player combinations in this thread, then I will update this. If this is your first player, do not worry if you are not on the list. You will be eligible for two points. Keep in mind - the 3/4 TPE upgrades only count if you have a previous player that is above 400 TPE, current players do not apply Due to doubles week you can now claim 4/6 or 8 TPE depending on your pension plan.

LeBeau Plus One It is not the best kept secret in the world, but not everybody knows it yet, the counting down has begun for Remy LeBeau. In less than six months he will be a married man and despite being so far away from his home country the wedding planning has to continue. The Toronto Legion goaltender wants to give his future wife everything she wants in her wedding, including a dream location and the wedding dress of her dreams. While being overseas it’s hard for him to join her in the preparations but he does whatever is possible. For the female Toronto Legion fans this news has come as quite a shock. They had never seen Remy LeBeau together with his significant other, due to her being in Europe still. She knew what she signed up for when they got together, because (how else) they met each other at the hockey rink when LeBeau was still playing in Europe. As most people know, goalies are usually outsiders. They have weird quirks and usually prefer to be alone, but when LeBeau met his future wife he had no troubles opening up to her. LeBeau knew he found the one and couldn’t think about a life without her ever since they got together. When LeBeau got drafted to the Bern Royals he was quite happy to be able to play rather close to home; this would make it easy to visit her when the schedule would allow it. After the season was done he suddenly had to leave her behind as she has a career of her own, so for LeBeau it was a lonely trip to Toronto. Due to them never being together in Toronto, a lot of people didn’t know about his significant other, but his fiancée might be the reason LeBeau is always so focused on the ice. He does it for her. With the marriage approaching it is likely that Remy LeBeau will hang up his skates after a few more seasons. He is now in his fifth year in the VHL and knows that after his eight he has to retire. He has no desires to become a GM or coach or anything. He wants to become what he always wanted, a family first guy. There are still some seasons to go and LeBeau still has to try and keep his focus on the ice, but with the wedding planning taking its toll it’s hard and some games he just loses focus since in his mind he is deciding what the decorations of the tables should be. Take last week’s game versus the Calgary Wranglers where the Toronto Legion blew a 1-0 lead in the third period and lost the game 3-1. With the Legion basically having secured a playoff spot, they hope LeBeau will get his attention back where it should be: on the ice. The Legion need their star goaltender fully focused and ready in time for the playoffs, since he will be the only one who can pull them through during a hard and close game. If LeBeau is on the top of his game, Toronto might surprise everyone. Words: 527

Still waiting on my article of the old site to be published as well. I mailed it weeks ago, so hope it's a work in progress and that it will return indeed.

It's time to take matters in our own hands. I only need 12 shutouts in the playoffs to get that cup. - Remy LeBeau
